J_Man, thanks so much for that. You actually had me in tears. knowing that you actually have a connection with subscribers is amazing. It made me feel like a Million Bucks. American bucks at that. I am starting to get some control of my fret hand back. I'll be playing Happy Birthday again in no time LOL. You're an amazing individual and so talented. Hey Rainer, glad you're feeling better! Don't even mention it. I count my blessings every day and understand I could lose them anytime. If I can help brighten your day or someone else's, then it's just blessings to good use haha! Sorry for the Bon Jovi in the middle of that, just another quirky thing my band does to keep people on their toes hahaha!

Hi again Jason, I was going to write this to your email but your Guitar giveaway video has disappeared. I'm writing this to say I would love to have your Westcreek TT20 as it is an awesome sounding and looking guitar. I don't feel right in entering the contest as I would not feel deserving of it as it would be better suited for someone who has some playing ability. So I decline in entering the contest. My life has turned into a complete disaster. I had a stroke on June 27th but it was a mild one , In the meantime my wife had a heart attack and is in he hospital as we speak. I went to the stroke clinic today and was told that the Coradic arteries in my neck have blockages and I have to return tomorrow to asses the blood flow and maybe have stints put in. I don't know if I told you that I only have I leg and bound to a wheelchair for most of my time. Life has been turned upside down for us once again. I'm just saying that's the reason I'm not entering. I would likely never be able to play it. I couldn't do it justice. I think I'm your number one fan though. Love your videos. You are the real thing my friend. Just know that you have friends all over the world. Maybe someday when things settle down here I will send you a video of myself privately. In the meantime, keep plucking that six string. Sorry for the rant.

So sorry to hear this... Yeah the deadline for the video entries was today at 12 eastern time. So I deleted the video, hence why you can't find it.
If you're passionate about guitar, then you're deserving! I'm doing this to thank the people who watch and comment on my videos regularly and you fit that criteria perfectly.
I will pray for you and your wife buddy. Have faith that things will get better. God doesn't give you anything you can't handle, so you got this!

Hi J-man, I've been very much enjoying your video's. I was 60 not long ago and on a whim I thought it would be a good time to learn an instrument. So being here is a good clue to which instrument I chose haha, Is there any advise you or any of your fine quality subs could offer as to where to start?. Do I go acoustic, electric or indeed electric acoustic?. I'm 6ft 5in when I'm laying down, should that affect the size of guitar I buy? Last but not least, at this late stage is you think I could at least reach a reasonable skill level?. Cheers guys.

      @j-man9457  หลายเดือนก่อน

@@andrewhoney7994 hey man! Welcome to the fun haha!
It's never too late to learn something new. What to get it totally up to you. Acoustic / electric doesn't matter so long as you like it. I prefer electric. Much easier to play. But then you need amp and cables, maybe some pedals, whereas an acoustic you just grab and play, but you always get the same tone... An electric with pedals get you overdriven sounds, lead tones etc... really depends on what you like. Most guitars are all close in size so your height won't matter. Just don't buy a junior sized guitar hahaha....
Get a good guitar. By good I don't mean expensive, I mean well set up. If they are well set up, they play well and hold tune and are more fun to play.
I like buying these budget guitars and they are fantastic, but they need to be set up 98% of the time. So if you don't do your own set ups, make sure you have somebody who can do that for you so the experience of your first guitar is a positive one.
      Hope that helps!

Hey Paul thanks! For these types of smaller gigs, I just use a small pedal board that I run to the front of the amp. No effects loop.
Guitar - mini poly tune tuner - Rowin Compressor - Wampler Clarksdale - Wampler Tumnus Deluxe - Rowin mini Delay - Mini Spark booster - into my Quilter Tone Block 201.

Hey J Man.......seems like you got the juice and are pretty hooked up. I bought this TT-20 a couple of days ago. I really like it. I was wondering if you know how I could get a spare pickguard or 2? Thought maybe you would know how I could get a hold of WestCreek. I bought the red one, and thought if they sell them I'd get a white and black spare.

You could buy a black sheet of pickguard material, take your pickguard off and trace it then cut one yourself 🤔😉

Hey mr J_Man I subscribed about a month ago when I came across in one of your Vid you know much about guitar both as a nerd and music country/rock player that I much appreciate!! Can you please tell your opinion about a couple of brand such as Vintage V20 coaster series which I have ordered and JET 350 both T-style. Since the first mentioned is getting hopefully on early August they say that I have the right to change my order since the day of delivering is a bit long... What do you think? Pardon for being long... Greetings from Italy

      Hey thanks!
So T Vintage V20 I have never heard of so can't comment.
The Jets 350 I never had either but I did buy a Jet 300 Tele and I had to send it back as it was a real lemon! Frets were terrible and all 4 neck screws were stripped from factory.
I'm sure they are not all like that and the 350 series is supposed to be a higher quality.
On the 300, the body and neck were ok but to use at a gig, everything else would have to be upgraded .... Tuners, nut, pickups, pot, saddles... And for what these Jets cost here in Canada, it just wasn't worth it. The 350 might be better and better priced in Italy than here in Canada!
      Good luck!
      J

@@j-man9457 you're welcome!! Vintage V20 coaster series is the cheapest I ordered for 180E. it is a British company owned by JHS I read on the site these are made in China but the Pro series Icon V52 and so on... are made in japan... the V20 series need pickup upgrade (they got ceramic that I don't prefer like you don't either) my concern in general is the 'weight' this body is in Palwonia!! I just sold a Squier modified for the weight and sounded crappy (bridge Seymour D. design's a lemon!!) Yes I just found this second option I am happy that you tested the bad jet 300. I just found a 350 at a fair price (given that it cost around 500E.) I see that the price in Canada are higher... We also have Thomann but I needed to wait 2 months at least

Not off hand John... A hard tail Strat is hard to find. I think Squire has a few models but As soon as Squire or Fender is on the headstock, the price goes up to more than it's worth!...

Hardtail Strats have ALWAYS been really rare! The Robert Cray signature model is a current production hardtail model from Fender… But short of finding a custom-made hardtail Strat body from some place like Warmoth, the Squier Sonic HT is just about the ONLY fully assembled production hardtail Strat I know of in the “affordable” range that is made currently. It’s not BAD by any means, but it’s front-load instead of string-through like a vintage one, and the body is not full thickness, either. The pickups and electronics could certainly be upgraded.

Funny you should mention Warmoth because years ago, I had them build me a 1 piece solid alder Strat body with telecaster routs. I had an ashtray bridge on it, Tele bridge and Strat neck PUs, tele control plate, a fender licensed tele neck with a 12°radius, locking tuners and bone nut. Really cool and unique axe but not Cheap! Another guitar I regret selling over the years 😕
