Wildz is from my region, he’s a great kid and super dedicated to getting better at the game. Also mad props to his parents who are also supportive of his smash career.

I was at this tourney! The craziest part of this vid is it doesn’t show Wildz putting Cosmos into losers lol, he was playing absolutely insane yesterday. Crazy to see such young talent.

I am a 15 yo terry and kazuya main, and this kid is way better than me, and I've been playing this game since I was 11 (I think). it's nice to see others my age still start playing this game competitively!
I’m a 14 year old terry and kazuya main, and this kid is damn good. I’ve been playing this game since it came out. This guy gives me hope. I am in Ireland though so there are less tournaments here than my brain cells.

Man it hurts to read so many cringe comments. Seeing so many people say the kid is carried, because he is 13. People are better than others at certain things, and this kid clearly has talent for smash. Regardless of age, he's good.
People are also acting like Kazuya is such an easy character, and he's just not. Sure his moves do a lot of damage and he IS broken, but it takes skill
Calling him carried for his age is really stupid, especially considering Sparg0 is really young too and he has won several tournaments and beaten the best players in the world several times.

I think the big issue or reason behind why people say these younger kids are carried is because they use DLC to win, and a lot of people hate that(I personally don’t care). It’s funny to actually see a different viewpoint than Acola. A lot of people call him carried because of Steve(even tho he does very well with Kazuya), but a lot of people aren’t calling Wildz carried. Idk how we got this far

as a 14 year old competitive smash player who has gotten good wins (such as alandiss) i can say with confidence the look on people's face is the best feeling after you destroy them

Jesus man why are good smash players getting younger and younger, the FIRST smash game I started playing competitively was ultimate, and keep in mind I started playing it when I was like, 16. I didn’t get good enough to even compete/ get good enough to be in tournaments until I was 18-19. I’m 20 now and even though I compete I’m NOWHERE near as good as these kids it’s insane
Parents now just let their kids play video games constantly. Not saying it's necessarily a bad thing, it's just a different reality for kids now. Wildz parents actually support his Smash competitive situation, how many people did you know who had parents that didn't shoot down their ideas for playing games

It's not referring to character popularity among zoomers, it's referring to how easy kazuya is for a very young and inexperienced but reaction-heavy player to pick up and do extremely well with.

@@Parthian6 he plays pac man like that as well. Why does it work? Because he is a great player and knows all the importangt combos. Also when Tea streams he plays Kazuya 90% of the time because it requires the most training since not playing kazuya for a week or longer is almost like a reset. Kazuya is absolutely not a fundies character, you need to train his combos, otherwise you will be outplayed every single time

I’m 15 years old. I’ve been trying to master Kazuya since October 2021, and I’m very surprised that I’m not as good as this kid. Definitely happy for him! While also a little bit jealous of how good Wildz is XD

my practice partner beats my kaz with joker sometimes bc he DI's electric properly at lowish percents. and dealing with guns and arsene yeehaw is insanely tilting. since he makes it really hard to get anything good off of electric, i usually play for guaranteed damage like parry aerial into stature smash combos, aerial setups like nair into gates, and all of his different (probably fresh) moves like dsmash, downforward tilt, crouching moves, and aerial strings like nair or upair into idj-fair-nair stuff. keeping the side tilts fresh can be important since you might rely on them to kill as it is hard to land electric on joker in the first place.

Being young means: Fast reactions, easier to learn new things, no / less bad habits due to less experience, and most importantly, LOTS of free time. It’s harder to compete when you’re older and have to balance College / Work life

@@Kahmie i’ve played the game 2 months after it came out until present day. DLC has always released the best characters in the game, it’s common knowledge that DLC is good. However, kazuya is nowhere near as broken as people think compared to the test of the top 7. Kazuya is actually hard to play which besides peach, is hard to say for a games top 10. Kazuya also has a really bad disadvantage state and mediocre recovery options. People only focus on the fact that he has the best advantage state in the game, and trash players struggle to punish Kazuya because they suck. He’s very hard to play in tournaments specifically because he’s a low skill ceiling menace.

I didn’t say the dlc were broken (even though you and everybody else knows they are), I said the game used to be more fun to watch w/o them. Just like smash 4 was a fun spectator sport until Bayonetta. You can enjoy your integrity ruining characters, you can continue to support Nintendo’s shitty, cash grab content updates, but you’re gonna have to deal with older, less ignorant players who know that Nintendo is trying to ruin things for everybody else and will say it in places that you’ll be looking. When you have several years behind you and understand the history that came before you, maybe then you’ll be on the right side of this argument which is as old as smash bros itself. You can’t put characters with an entirely new design formula in a game that’s already as perfect as release ultimate, it ruins the integrity of competition and propels players to the top who otherwise wouldn’t have made it e.g. Acola, Riddles. You can argue that the game isn’t unbalanced all you want, but it’s smash bros it already was, and that’s not the issue. The issue is that the game’s own designer and company hates it’s competitive following.
@@Kahmie i won’t argue that they haven’t done a lot for the competitive side of the game, but that highlights a key detail: the game wasn’t made to be competitive, it was made to be a fun party game with your favorite characters. DLC was added to get players from those games to come and play and let new players try them out. DLC adds completely new mechanics to each character which makes it hard to balance, considering that they’ve only ever been tested on one character. You’re taking the game way too seriously over nothing. Not to mention, there’s like 3 good FP2 characters, the rest are pretty mid. (Min Min is hit or miss)

@@jasonanno3881 Matchup experience and general game sense is very important in ultimate. A 19-year-old with more playtime and a more developed brain should have a big advantage over the 13-year-old, so if the 13-year-old is winning every time then something's up.
