Love to see Riddles crushing the Steve matchup!! The wrath to sonix pipeline has to be one of the worst experiences possible when playing this game, so kudos to Riddles for riding it out!
Dakpo just made a diddy Kong guide that is genuinely one of the most useful resources I’ve ever seen for FGC. Makes me want to drop any and all characters and just play him.

Steve has to be the most braindead, safe and autocombo character I've ever seen in any FG I've watched. It's basiclly playing on steroids. Zero enlag on moves, most moves combo into each other, walling off enemies, super high damage, easy combos for 70 %. How do these people not feel shame?
Honestly shocked riddles still pulls out the Kazuya against sonic. I think Terry has a much better chance even offline seems like Sonic might be Kaz’s worst mu.
It’s definitely his worst matchup, but it’s not impossible IMO. I’ve dabbled in the matchup occasionally in my locals, and I feel like it really just comes down to whether or not the Kazuya can catch on to the Sonic’s spin-dash habits. If they just let it rip, the Kazuya can just use any of his moves with a lot of intangibility (Tombstone, Dragon Uppercut, Leaping Sidekick, etc.). If they do literally anything else, Kazuya can either rush them down by CDC-shielding or just use laser them. It’s a really, really hard matchup for sure since the Sonic can just run away if they’re in a bad position, but I think Riddles is really confident in the matchup since he’s played Sonix so many times before. That’s why he said “I played like a bot” despite that being Kaz’s worst matchup.
@HawkTeevs he got punished hella for using laser. Seems useless in the mu since sonic is quick enough to whif punish it, and it's not very reliable or worth the risk.

In his set vs Kiyarash, something I didn't know was possible happened at around 15:30. Terry's Buster Wolf went through Luigi down-B, Normally this shouldn't happened Luigi down-B is infamous for being badly programmed in that it's a frame 1-7 intangible move in the air and 4-8 on the ground with a multi-hit to interrupt and win any attempt to trade hits. HOWEVER, Buster Wolf is treated as a grab initially then it explodes, although the grab is weird in that its programmed to not hit shield for some reason and thus is -45 on shield (Riddles gets punished for this happening later on in the run). That's why riddles was able to yoink Kiyarash out of his panic down-B, the grab nature of Buster Wolf just stops Luigi despite the fact that they traded hits.
Not precisely. Luigi has 7 frames intangible an buster wolf is an active hitbox. As soon as tangibility comes back, hit detection comes in. Buster wolf has 8% super armor, which is why he ignores cyclone's multi hits
The other reason this happened is because buster wolf has 6% armor on it and Luigi first hit of down b didn't do enough to break it. Also the term you're looking for is hitgrab.

But holy fuck Sonic is so boring to watch. It's like EVERY Sonic does the same exact moves over and over again in the same sequence and I honestly feel bad that Riddles had to fight Sonic multiple times. It must've been torture.
