    My budy just got a camero and he's so happy with it. On his 3rd day of owning it someone keyed his truck lid probably out of jeliousy. Ima get me a mustang 5.0 eventually and I would rather have this and be safe then have to worry about being keyed. Really awesome tips

    2:33 , saying 90% of the time insurance will cover PPF replacement if in an accident is NOT the norm. It is very true though you need to always check with your insurance company first, they may cover it by adding a "custom parts" premium to your coverage plan, but many just will not cover it at all or may even try to flake on that added coverage in an actual accident. Research into your insurance company and customer feedback to see if they've actually covered for other claims. Double check their contracts/policies wording around this. But largely I feel like saying 90% of companies will cover is highly optimistic.

    I would highly recommend at least wax but best to get a ceramic coat on top, I had my car fully wrapped in Kavaca, and washing off spots can be a pain in the butt! It also stains for a bit, it takes days for a spot to fade away. And the scratch self heal is on the weaker side, I got a scratch by just rubbing a hard with a microfiber cloth, trying to get a spot off. It did save my hood from a rock, left a small tear, but saved the paint.

      Hey Glenn. Thanks for the post. One thing you might consider is applying Ceramic Pro CARE to your KAVACA PPF. It's an exceptional topper that will serve as a short-term (about 3 to 6 months) Ceramic Coat on top of the PPF. We have it available on the website in the SHOP section.

      Unfortunately, that is the case with older PPF and some other brands' PPF that carries an orange peel-like finish. Fortunately, we have resolved that issue with our KAVACA Ceramic Coated PPF!

    Should I have my vehicle detailed before taking it to a shop to put PPF on it or does the PPF shop detail the vehicle before they put the film on it? also if my vehicle already has some rock chips on the paint should I get those fixed first? and how long should I wait after fixing them to wrap the vehicle in PPF?

    • @CeramicPROUSA
      @CeramicPROUSA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you take your vehicle to an installer, they will prep and detail it before install of PPF. The shop will go over any current rock chips and what they can offer in terms of solutions.

    I had Kavaka PPF installed on my 2021 Corvette C8 Silver flare. Front end. It looked great but she out in the sun and you are wearing polarized sunglasses I can see dark shading and spots in the PPF. Looks terrible.
    So far my authorized Kavaka authorized dealer is stumped? Do I remove the PPF? Thanks, waste of $3K

    • @CeramicPROUSA
      @CeramicPROUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hey Joseph, this has nothing to do with our film or installation error... this is a very common occurrence with Paint Protection Film of all brands. It has to do with the difference in refractive index between the layer of film and the paint on the vehicle. It is most noticeable on curved surfaces because the film must be stretched over these areas to allow it to be installed without wrinkles or imperfections. When the film is stretched, it becomes slightly thinner in those specific areas which will cause this phenomenon you are describing seen through polarized glasses.
      It can also occur on flat/noncurved surfaces when the installer needs to use a drying aid/solution or water to get the needed bond to the paint so that the film doesn't lift back up. This is due to the difference in viscosity of the fluids and their effect on the adhesive’s properties.
      Polarized glasses have this effect on several different multi-layer surfaces (not just PPF) made of glass or plastic. When you remove your polarized sunglasses, these imperfections won't be visible. For the 3k investment, you have saved and protected the paint on the front end of your c8 corvette, repaints and trying to match the original finish can be a disaster. Feel free to do your own research and you will come to the same conclusion. We hope this answer has been helpful and educational.

    I’m strongly debating getting ppf on my GR86 but I’m worried that the paint will fade at different rate between the panels that are covered an panels that aren’t. That was an issue with older ppf but is it now? Has that been addressed with newer technologies?

    • @CeramicPROUSA
      @CeramicPROUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The best solution to resolve your concerns would be to PPF the high-impact areas, then ceramic coat the rest of the vehicle so that the vehicle has UV protection on every panel!

    Hey guys, I’m wandering if it’d be possible to wrap alloy wheels? I asked a local wrapping shop and they said it can’t be done...many thanks :)

    • @CeramicPROUSA
      @CeramicPROUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be done, but because every wheel is different and the surface has so many angles it may be tough for the film to stay on the surface perfectly and may lift due to some of the angles and edges being near impossible to lay perfectly.

    You said you can ceramic coat PPF. This is not true. PPF is flexible and ceramic coat is not.

    • @CeramicPROUSA
      @CeramicPROUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once the PPF is applied, we install our ceramic coatings on top. It is highly sought after and something we have proven that works excellent for many years. We have a product line called "PPF and Vinyl" for this specific application.

      What would you charge for a front end of a 2021 Silverado? To get an idea TIA

    • @CeramicPROUSA
      @CeramicPROUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adamnunez2260 So it depends on which spec it is! If it's all chrome, it's around 2k, if its painted with standard hood, its around $2300, if its the hood with the scoop on it, itll be more around $2600. The new body style is actually quite difficult to install. Also, keep in mind the emblems need to be taken off the fenders and reinstalled as well if you're looking to do a full front ppf.
