As a miata owner I can confirm i only bought it for track use. I see no fun in bringing it to park & chills unless it’s the pre or post meet for a track event.

2019 86 here haha my fav car of all time. I have uel headers, full exhaust, oft tune, JR oil cooler, trd lowering springs on GramLights 57dr and couple other small mods for tracking. The car really comes alive on small tracks, me and my buddy with a trd 86 we sent it hard on Tail of the Dragon, even sti's couldnt keep up hahaha
I got the gr86 specifically because I fit in it the best at 6'3. And saying the new ones are uglier is wild. 1st gen looked like an overgrown eco car, new gen looks like an F Type

I had a painful conversation with a V6 Mustang enthusiast, years ago at a meet. His car was a Saleen Clone, that he admits is a legit Saleen. I'll give him some credit, it's a damn good clone, to the naked eye, however, I smelt some BS and saw some BS. Some of the panel gaps were in areas I never seen before. Along with some of aftermarket parts, mostly the body kit, seemed suspicious, especially the wheels, you get up close, "boom" reps. I have driven real Saleens when I worked for FoMoCo. Plus, I have always wanted a Mustang, I just can't decide where to start. Anyways, I said, "How come you don't pop your hood? it's a Saleen!" So he pops it, my next comment, "Huh, I didn't know Saleens came with a V6 option?" This is where I loose my shit, he comments with, "Well, I get better fuel economy with a V6 and the overall vehicle weight is a little lighter." I mean, I can understand where he's going with this, but still... I just walked away and said, "Well thanks for the conversation, thanks for telling me about your build, and uh, nice Clone Car." I could tell that he got pissed and offended because he's brainwashed into thinking he built a genuine Saleen. I'm all for building what you got, but claiming a clone car for the real genuine thing, that's where I lose it.
Disagree on the Miata take. Say what you will but worldwide, Miata has been held solid as one of the most enthusiast friendly, most versatile pltforms for anyone from beginner to hard speed head car enthusiasts. The AEM community is vast ranging from LS swaps to German swaps to JDM powerhouses. The only platform that comes close is Honda which majority of the community only swap or upgrade with more honda specific parts, simply because it's easy to work with. Also, a classic stock prem condition Miata is a site to see. Especially in this tiktok fucked world we live in. Respect to the old heads to can keep an old car like that prestine for so long it becomes vintage.

GTI owners are for the most part absolutely chill, but ngl a good chunk are also a bit clueless. I drive a TT and only one time in all of my ownership has a GTI owner talked to me because he actually knows we share the same engine 😭

I drive a 2013 BRZ. I installed a 2" lift kit, Sparco wheels with all-terrain tires, a tow hitch, an intake and a full exhaust, also pull a 5x8 trailer with it sometimes, because pickup trucks got too damn expensive so I gotta work with what I have. Don't plan on ever boosting it, these things can't handle boost.
Driving slow cars to their limit is actually fun and exciting (scary) especially when trying to merge onto a highway. Having 130hp and less on tap is the sweet spot... 😎

5:39 Fr tho! 🤣 I've only had a single vehicle with a true turtle-slow engine. It's a 2nd Gen Dodge Dakota with 4 doors, 5000lb curb weight, and 175hp 3.9L V6 engine. It's also the only vehicle I've ever "riced" with a custom aftermarket exhaust (post-cat Magnaflow Rumbler with dump after passing the cabin). It's still slow as heck, but between that and my shorty headers, at least it actually sounds like a nasty 5.2L/5.9L. I still love it for that alone... 🔥😆

Ok, drew, i drive a red on red '95 buick roadmaster (ginger) with the lt1 350, had 260 hp at one time, but swapped out the old cast iron heads and put the aluminum heads, high performance throttlebody and replaced the old 2.53 rearend with a 3.53 rearend for now, 'gs' badges from a 66 gran sport (deserves the gs treatment since she makes more than 260 hp now) buick rallye wheels out of my '67 riviera, buick fender ports from a '53 roadmaster (keep it all buick except for the throttle body made by holley) thats all so far, so what kind of car guy am i? Fun fact: the 1994-'96 roadmasters had the lt1 350 as the chevy impala ss and caprice and Cadillac fleetwood which is another fullsize not many people know about with slightly better performance, they also had better performance than the ford mustang gt from the same era and not many people know about them

I have friends who have CBR-300's and R3's and they tell me it's so easy to master that their upset now because their stuck in a loan payment and can't get a new more enjoyable motorcycle.

Drew it's not McLaren, track videos never get many views because audience is really slim. Very low percentage of people drive on track and an average car enthusiast won't watch cars going around a track lap after a lap. You have to be really into tracking your car. I watch track videos time to time but it's mainly tracks I'm going to so I can learn corners and such

Ok, drew, i drive a red on red '95 buick roadmaster (ginger) with the lt1 350, had 260 hp at one time, but swapped out the old cast iron heads and put the aluminum heads, high performance throttlebody and replaced the old 2.53 rearend with a 3.53 rearend for now, 'gs' badges from a 66 gran sport (deserves the gs treatment since she makes more than 260 hp now) buick rallye wheels out of my '67 riviera, buick fender ports from a '53 roadmaster (keep it all buick except for the throttle body made by holley) thats all so far, so what kind of car guy am i?
Fun fact: the 1994-'96 roadmasters had the lt1 350 as the chevy impala ss and caprice and Cadillac fleetwood which is another fullsize not many people know about with slightly better performance, they also had better performance than the ford mustang gt from the same era and not many people know about them

Sorry for the 3 comments, but I'm a Suzuki slut, i would never thought I would say that but i'm a laid back guy and I want a motorcycle because in our current economy cars are just too expensive for me at 20 years old. My bike I want is a GSXR -R1000 but I have common sense and I'm going to start on a GSXR-600. I have friends who have CBR-300's and R3's and they tell me it's so easy to master that their upset now because their stuck in a loan payment and can't get a new more enjoyable motorcycle.

Drew it's not McLaren, track videos never get many views because audience is really slim. Very low percentage of people drive on track and an average car enthusiast won't watch cars going around a track lap after a lap. You have to be really into tracking your car. I watch track videos time to time but it's mainly tracks I'm going to so I can learn corners and such
