  • @FrankySilverFace

    Do a winter Camry review! You'll find the gas door freezes shut. The front windows freeze shut because of their slight upturn around the mirrors while the rear windows don't freeze. You'll see the rear window partially defrost because the top 5 lines are radio antenna not defrost wires. You'll find the cabin doesn't warm properly because the transmission shift points are to low so the engine doesn't rev enough to allow proper flow through the heater core. You'll find the trunk opens to close to the rear window so when freezing rain and so build up there's a real chance of breaking the back window. The metal of the trunk is so thin you can't remove the ice build up that occurs after a storm without possible dmg to the sheet metal. ....and there's more! WORST WINTER VEHICLE IVE HAD IN 30 YEARS

    • @FrankySilverFace
      @FrankySilverFace 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cicruff1 2019 SE 4 cyl. Great car overall. Winter isn't its strong suit due to the car freezing so badly. Toyota's fix for the frozen gas door is clear silicone inside the gas filler area to prevent water/ice build up. The car care nut channel suggests to leave the front windows down about 2mm which leaves the window still up enough so it stays in the tracks and snow doesn't enter the car. Brilliantly simple as the window motor breaks the ice going up more easily than it does going down. I've also learned Toyota now defrosts the entire back window which would help with rear visibility. The ice build up on the trunk is still an issue because of how close the trunk gets to the rear window when fully open. The wipers need to put into service mode so they can be raised for the windshield to prevent freezing and getting stuck/damaged. However the main problem remains. The engine and transmission are so efficient there's not enough heat for the drivers compartment t warm up. There's no heat at 1200rpm at -15 so I drive around town in 3rd gear on cold days just to keep warm. They'll need to design the next Camry better than this for me to remain a Toyota customer cus that Honda accord is a hell of a nice car.

    I was so dissapointed. You titled the video "all buttons and controls" and I am looking to see a fully loaded car with all options. One button missing that I have yet to learn about is the "View" button. Sadly this XLE is not equipped with "all button and controls" as the view function is missing. Not sure if there is another feature as there is another blacked out button just a few more to the right of where the view button belongs. Nice presentation, good energy, just not the right content.

    Why does Toyota keep downsizing the gas tank capacity? Previous Camry models had an 18.5 gallon tank and for the 2018-2019 models, it was down to 16 gallons. Now for 2020, it's 15.8. What is going on?

    • @TheCptncrunchify
      @TheCptncrunchify 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CastrejonHDTV it's a matter of range, not capacity. As fuel economy increases, Toyota can cut down need for larger tanks and carrying unnecessary amounts of fuel (extra weight).

    • @crxracer805
      @crxracer805 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheCptncrunchify Yeah but that's cutting down the total range of miles. Sure maybe a future Camry non hybrid will get 50 mpg but have a fuel tank of only 10 gallons. Yes that will cut down in weight but it could have the same range or less than a less efficient, but bigger gas tank Camry. It's just not cool. When I take a road trip, I wanna stop for gas less.
