I've been on KDP for 3 months with zero sales. I am good at design as I have the background, so this is not an issue for me.
But only around 10 days ago I realized I am not doing the keyword research properly.
It's been a week now I fixed the keywords from published books and published another 3 books and done a quite impressive A+ content for those, yet no sales happened.
Am starting to wonder if I am cursed. I see awful low content books selling yet mine don't sell. I even have one on the first page for certain keywords and I am sitting here waiting for a miracle.
Hey there, l am sorry for what you are going through but don't give up just yet. here are some things to consider - 1. Is there a high demand for your keyword. A keyword with low demand will not struggle with sales. 2. How do you promote your books? Ads , social media ? it's important to give your books some visibility. 3. How competitive is your book price?

I apologize for the delayed response; I’ve been away. Thank you for your patience. Regarding your question, it’s important to strike a balance. Keywords with more results can indicate higher competition, so it might be harder to rank. Keywords with fewer results can be less competitive but might have lower search volume. Ideally, I prefer keywords with results of 5,000 or less as this tends to provide the right balance-enough interest without being overly competitive.

Hi, thanks for watching my video. Which site do you use for your keyword research? If it's on bookbeam, then you can find related keywords from the keyword generator tab on their site, otherwise you can find related keywords from Amazon' search box. On Amazon's searchbox, enter your Main keyword and see what other results you get from the dropdown menu, then select keywords that are closely related to your book. Another method is to view competitor's books and see what they have used in their title, subtitle and description. Hope this helps 🙂

I use Amazon ads to boost visibility at first, which helps get my books noticed. Over time, the organic keywords start to kick in, and that’s what helps my books stay ranked in the long term.

hey, social media like pinterest or facebook is a good free way to drive traffic, but it really depends on your book category. Sometimes, paid traffic is much more effective.
