As an illustrator, i always watch your videos. But i gotta give your animator kudos! One of the reasons why i follow you is because of the graphics and animations you do ☺
I loved your video it was very clear and concise. However, there are some things that I would suggest tweaking if you ever did a redo. 1st as some people suggested, the music is so loud in the background that it distracts from the lesson. If it's a necessity, please, I would turn it down. Next, because I made this mistake on my 1st book with KDP last year and I didn't see you address it, when I created my title page, backpage, and even on my backcover, I forgot to put the most important words to an author's project, "COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL". I was so glad that I got samples and caught it, however, the other problem was getting KDP to successfully explain to me how to change this. It was very frustrating. I wrote copyrighted material on my journal samples, and that was it. I went back to consulting and illustration. That really soured me because I went out of my comfort zone. I want everyone to succeed and win. Keep going, take deep breaths, keep going, AND WIN!!! BEST WISHES TO ALL!!!❤
great video! One thing I would add is when you do coloring books skip a page in-between for marker bleed. So, if you have 25 coloring pages make a total of 50 pages color page blank etc. I Do have a few coloring books on KDP I have made a few bucks nothing life changing. But I also only have 3 the more you make the more potential for higher profits definitely possible to make living.

This video is the best which I've ever seen. You provide all the explanations in a great manner at the straight point. You are not in rush as everyone is able to follow and understand. Absolutely sttuning ! But there is something which I did not understand : where should appear the author name? As far as I know, KDP does not accept the author name on the book cover. So where is the right place? Thans for your reply if you are so kind to answer me.
The author name can go on the book cover if you want! And there should be no issue with placing it on the book cover file that you upload. In this example, we just created a little company logo as an example, but you could put it at the bottom or on the back.
At one point near the end you said you are turning it on again. Please show me where you turned it off. I don't remember you saying when you did that and I'm not sure what "it" is. Are ou turning off access to the cover image?
Hey there! We are also unsure what you mean by turning "it" off. Perhaps we were talking about the template image that is in the background, which you don't want visible when exporting.

There’s nowhere to scroll from left to right, only up and down, so when I go back into projects to work on them they often aren’t feont and centre anymore. Hy I have a question, I do alot of big sign banners. I just got kittl my question is what size and dpi, are you suppose to download the file, lets say for a 8x8 foot inkjet printed banner? Your answer would really help me out, thank you.
Generally when you view the banner from a distance the artwork will look crisp even at 72dpi at full size however l like to have it at 150dpi at full size.Small images on banners or banners that are seen closeup up l have at 300dpi but you can get away with less. I don’t know if Kittl can do this type of resolution though for large banners. Download the largest file you can from Kittl put it into photoshop or similar program and have a look.

Good day Drew. First of all, thank you very much for all the valuable lessons you teach people like me, who are still a bit stupid. I just want to know something. I listed 2 coloring books on Amazon KDP but it took a very long time. On Kittl I created all the boards, but could not save them as one PDF. Kittl saves them each separately, so I had to do everything from Canva. I really tried to do everything as you explain on your video, but without success. I also made my cover page 1661 x 1080 pixels, but as soon as I upload the PDF cover on Amazon, it is way too big. Please help because somewhere I might be doing something wrong. Thank you very much. Regards, Isabell
Hey there! Thanks for the comment here. In terms of the single PDF, yes we are working on feature that will allow you to choose to have them separate or together. In the meantime you can use Acrobat Reader, or a service like www.sejda.com/merge-pdf to merge your sheets together. In terms of your cover page. I was working in pixels that would not need to be exported at a larger file type. To avoid any issues, I would set your project to inches, and make your cover the exact dimensions of the size you are wanting to publish, and then you can export at 300 DPI to ensure printing quality.
Hey there! Yes, at the time, we only have RGB settings, so it is important to choose "glossy" when you are going through the Book Cover design process on KDP if you want it to appear more vibrant.
@@mx1299 Slightly, but there are guides you can use to closely get the colors you want that will be in the printed CMYK format. So long as you are not using extremely neon-heavy colors, generally the variations are little.

Thank you on your videos. I find them really educational. I would like a little guide on creating Princess Coloring Book for Kids, age 8-12. With this age group, kids would be more inclined towards imodern, perhaps active princesses, Key word research and cover creation are the two elementsa I'd like you to put more emphasis on. Thank you.
Hey there! Yes, you can use the same strategy and method shown in this video to replicate your niche. We also have a couple of other videos on book cover creation on the channel, and we will be doing more in the future.
Definitely! For key terms and SEO, we definitely suggest going a bit more in depth than what we showed in the video, which was just highlighting certain areas.
Typically the subtitle will be a it more descriptive than your main title, talking about the main point of the product or topic you are selling. There are some helpful TH-cam videos from other creators that can help with this as well!
Awesome video as always! Question though - how would you set the pages up if you wanted a black or grey backing to each colouring page? Personally, I prefer this style as it stops the colours bleeding through the page to the page below it.
Hey there! The easiest and simplest method would be to add a basic shape to your canvas/background, and once it is set, you can duplicate and work on top of it for each page!
This has been so helpful! Excited to make my own coloring book to sell! Kittl you are the best! But I have a question with artboard, whenever I resize, the image inside doesn't go along with the resizing. Did I miss something? Thank you Kittl and more power! I am a pro version user.
Hey there! Yes, the artboard and designs do not resize together, because if you were to change your artboard to a different orientation, like rectangle to 16:9 horizontal, the design wouldn't be able to stretch perfectly without having many things cut off, so for now, you do have to select and scale your design up or down. However, we are looking at a smart feature to combat this issue, so stay tuned!
Hi 👋 yes. I am creating coloring books. Now I have a problem. I went to download a book and in 30 minutes Amazon blocked my book. My ?. What do you think is costing the problem. The note in de dashboard says copyright.
I almost used done images but then I noticed a lot of people prefer hand drawn images. Also idk why I didn’t think I would have to actually color my book lol to build followers duh .. working on a 3rd book
Thank you for a very good tutorial. I want to know - I did the cover with the pixels just as you explained (1661W & 1080H) and the page with inches (8.5 x 11), but in my view on Kittle, the page is much smaller than yours. I double-checked my dimensions and it is correct. The view to both is set at 32%. I am not sure if my pages will be correct.
Hey there! Sorry about the confusion there, the pixels I set for the cover were technically already "300" DPI, and it's generally a preference thing for designers, whether they want to set their artboard in pixels or inches. What we would recommend would be following the KDP template and setting your Kittl artboard to inches so that there are no issues when going to export your cover and documents to the correct size. (i.e. the cover looked a lot larger than the individual pages because it was set to a pixel size that was 3x larger than the normal "inch" size). So when it doubt, set your artboard to the right inches, and then export at 300 DPI and you should have no issue. Let us know if you need additional help!
@@Kittldesign Thank you for your reply. I did what you suggested and the problem was solved. I am on the free version of Kittl. If you mean export is to download the project to be uploaded in KDP. If this is correct, then the option to change the dpi is blanked out and I cannot adjust it to 300dpi. Will it be a problem? I completed my coloring book and really want to see if this is going to be a way for me to earn income. The Kittl logo is shown on the book cover and on each page. I do not have a problem with it showing. I added a '' just on top of the Kittl logo. For my 1st book, it is fine as I 1st need to generate income to be able to work with paid programs and tools. Am I now allowed to publish the book as per my message as a free member of Kittl? Again - thank you that you reply and that we can ask questions as this helped to be able to start with what you teach us.
I love Kittl and this excited me cause I've always wanted a coloring book of Pegasus but never bought one. Now I can make one. The issue I have, as I had when making tshirts, is that after about the 5th or 6th AI creation, it starts adding extra legs and putting the wings in really weird places. For example, the AI will make the most beautiful images of horses, but give it an extra foreleg that I now have to try to get out with photoshop or some other program, or removes the tail and leaves it elsewhere in the picture. Out of the 10 I just generated, there were 3 I couldn't use.
Thanks for the feedback here! This will largely depend on the version, the style, and the prompt input you are using. The version 2 AI in Kittl is much stronger and less issue-specific to the extra limbs you mentioned, however it can still happen! We're currently working on tweaking each individual preset style to behave as good as possible with prompt input, but specifically for magical or fantasy creatures, there are a few that work better than others at the moment, like Kawaii, Anime, and Digital Art, because the mediums of those presets are more familiar with magical concepts, as opposed to something like the photography preset. We might suggest trying to input your prompt and not select a preset at all. This can give you more freedom to tact on your own descriptive style that you want to say, including words like "magical creature" which might give you a better render. We'll do our best to put out some more AI videos soon!
Is Kittl had to learn? It kinda looked very difficult for a beginner, also the coloring book you was getting ideas from, I noticed that the coloring pages had some type of background, can Kittl do this also? Thanks it was a super great video!!!
Hey there! We like to think about Kittl as the tool that grows with you. It can be quite simple for beginners to get used to, but it can also be advanced, and it all depends on what you want to do!
@@Kittldesign OK, one last question can we use it for our personal use Only? are for commercial use purposes I know one last question turned into two more questions lol. can we sell it through a link to our customer?or not just curious with all these questions I thought I asked somebody that might have all the answers. Thanks for the help.
This is subject to what the customer wants, and what they are looking for, and whether or not they care more about it being hand drawn, or the fact that it can be colored in, so that's a tough question!
I just started with the free version of Kittl, because I wanted to test it first before I get pro... I'm trying to follow along with your tutorial and trying a few things, but when I try using the AI, I do not get the coloring book vector style.... Is that one only available for pro?
You should able to do all of those! The only issue might be in using specific brand names of vehicles, which might not yield the most realistic generation, so describing the vehicle might be better suited. (Coupe, convertible, vintage, etc.)
I designed a book cover using Canva and its free elements, but Amazon keeps rejecting it, saying, "Remove all template text and guides from your cover file." I'm confused because I've seen others use Canva for their book covers. I'm new to Amazon KDP and would appreciate some guidance. Can I not use Canva's free elements at all?
Check if you still have the size template as one of your layers. That may be causing the error. Elements from Canva can be used (for the most part), but not as-is. You need to combine them into your own composition. Also make sure the element is actually copyright free, since not everything is. Smiley faces for example are available in Canva, but commercial use rights belong to the Smiley Corp.

Hey there! We have not seen this error occur, however we would definitely suggest looking up some of the TH-cam channels that are focused solely on KDP. One of our collaborators Sandra Di has had great success with KDP, and perhaps she knows of this issue.
"Really appreciate how Kittl is deleting my comments and others' about the upcoming changes to their credit system that everyone’s upset about. Just a heads-up: they’ve announced plans to cut our monthly credit allowance from 2,400 to 600, but will still charge $30 a month."
Hey there, we've responded several times on other posts, as there is no need to continue duplicating the same comment across many videos. We have read it and passed it on to internal teams along with many other comments. While we have AI as a functionality within Kittl, the overall value is not specific to simply generating AI art. We have powerful editing tools, templates, elements, and more to help in the creative process. AI is an aid to the creative process, but we are not only a single specific AI Generation tool. However, we do understand the points of frustration from users and continuing to discuss this system. Thanks for commenting.
Correct! You can either do that from the Adobe Acrobat (PDF) pages tool, or by utilizing another free PDF combiner tool. We are working on making our own feature that will allow you to decide whether you want to combine them, or keep them separate.
You don't have to use AI, the point was more-so setting up and showing how you can achieve a KDP book in Kittl, but the medium could also be a documented text. Cheers.
I spent a lot of time making low content books for KDP only to discover that Amazon will NOT ever sell ANY low content indie published books, NOT ONE has ever sold one copy. They will only show and sell big publisher low content. KDP is ONLY for writers.

Definitely! For key terms and SEO, we definitely suggest going a bit more in depth than what we showed in the video, which was just highlighting certain areas.
I was gonna say that
Can you go into detail on how those images were made using the Kittle AI? Mine never look like that.
Sure! It was pretty much just using the Kawaii setting in Kittl AI under the Clipart category, and typing in mythical creatures. :)
@@Kittldesign ahh. I was using the coloring book setting thinking that would be better.
Such a great tutorial on how to leverage Kittl AI for coloring books. I really appreciate it. Thanks!
You're very welcome!
Hi. Can you tell me how to write a subtitle. For KDP Amazon. Thank you very much in advance.
The background music is too monotonous and a bit loud. I dig Kittl though. 😊
Thanks for the feedback! We will work on that in future videos.
*I’d love a CANVA step by step like this!*
Well we hope you try it in Kittl!
Bruhhh 😂😂😂
@@Kittldesign that makes sense! Thank you so much and looking forward to more cool stuff in Kittl for designs!
Thanks for video! Please ditch background music
Thanks for the suggestion, will do so next time.
This video is a goldmine!!!!!!!
So happy to hear that!
Hi 👋 yes. I am creating coloring books. Now I have a problem. I went to download a book and in 30 minutes Amazon blocked my book. My ?. What do you think is costing the problem. The note in de dashboard says copyright.
Hey there! We aren't able to provide any legal advice here, so our suggestion would be to try and get in touch with KDP support.
I learned so much new stuff, thank you
Happy to hear that!
I almost used done images but then I noticed a lot of people prefer hand drawn images. Also idk why I didn’t think I would have to actually color my book lol to build followers duh .. working on a 3rd book
Very cool!
@@antonettebisset please respond to her question.
@@massiveactionresults hi I do not understand your reply, please clarify
We'll do our best to put out some more AI videos soon!
can you olease explain to me what main ' 80 AI Credits per day' do i have 80 image to generate daily?
Yes! You can find your image generation credits amount over in your profile subscription page.
Is Kittl had to learn? It kinda looked very difficult for a beginner, also the coloring book you was getting ideas from, I noticed that the coloring pages had some type of background, can Kittl do this also? Thanks it was a super great video!!!
I find kittl easier to use than Canva tbh 😅
Hey there! We like to think about Kittl as the tool that grows with you. It can be quite simple for beginners to get used to, but it can also be advanced, and it all depends on what you want to do!
Would I be able to make Apple Watch and iPhone wallpaper with kettle?
Sure!
@@Kittldesign OK, one last question can we use it for our personal use Only? are for commercial use purposes I know one last question turned into two more questions lol. can we sell it through a link to our customer?or not just
curious with all these questions I thought I asked somebody that might have all the answers. Thanks for the help.
If you are about to buy a coloring book which would be your favorite option? An AI generated or a hand drawn by an ilustrator?
This is subject to what the customer wants, and what they are looking for, and whether or not they care more about it being hand drawn, or the fact that it can be colored in, so that's a tough question!
I just started with the free version of Kittl, because I wanted to test it first before I get pro... I'm trying to follow along with your tutorial and trying a few things, but when I try using the AI, I do not get the coloring book vector style.... Is that one only available for pro?
Hey there! Yes, our version two of the AI is available for Pro and Expert users.
Extremely helpful.
Glad to hear that!
Thank you so much, that's super useful!
Glad to hear that!
Hello ! How possible is it to make colorings of cars of specific models, for example Mercedes 126? Or insects or animals? Thank you )
Iv done a couple of car things and you just change up the AI promt
You should able to do all of those! The only issue might be in using specific brand names of vehicles, which might not yield the most realistic generation, so describing the vehicle might be better suited. (Coupe, convertible, vintage, etc.)
In the paid version of Kittl the images generated with AI will be better?
Hey there, yes our Pro and Expert accounts have Version 2 of our AI model available.
Fantastic video👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey there! It sounds like they are referring to the template guides that might still be present in your document file.
THNK YOU COACH NICE VIDEO ALL IEMENTS I WANT FOR MY COUSE COLORING BOOK WOW NICE TEACHER YOU ,,, please is kittl free ? is it for free commecial use too ? for my kdp amazon coloring book or is paid to generate coloring page for making sells to mazon kdp coloring book ?
Hey there! To complete a full coloring book as you saw in the video, having a pro or expert Kittl account would be the optimal way to do so. We do have a Free subscription, but it is catered to seeing whether or you not you believe Kittl will work for you! And by the way, we have a discount code linked up in the description if you'd like to get a percentage off!
I would like to create a children's story book. I've tried I think it's hard to put the words on pictures etc. Eventually, I gave up.
You got it! One page at a time.
Can you use Ai generated images on kdp? X
There is a section for you to select that you have used AI imagery in your work in the backend of KDP.
7:00 “So instead of cute, I’m going to type in cute”. Lol
Haha! Mistakes happen.
@@Kittldesign Cute mistake, lol!😅
Yes, great idea, but is it worth it? What's the average profit on this product?
This will largely depend on the size and audience of your coloring book. The profit comes not in selling one book, but the efforts to sell multiple across time. We have users making a very successful income with low content books like this!
If it is printed into a book, will the back be like that? I mean there are kawaii character pictures?
Hey there! You actually design the entire cover (front and back) as 1 image, which we show towards the end of the video.
02:30 Kittl per month $10 = 15AI images a day 465 max, Illustrate (Design Bundles) 29$ = unlimited, Midjourney 30$ = Unlimited, Canva 6/19$ = Unlimited, Creative fabrica 6/19$ = unlimited.
do you face the probleme where each time you publish a work Amazon tells that the book might result in a disappointing customer experience. I am facing this email every time I publish a book I used to publish notebook. Is anyone facing this problem
Hey there! We have not seen this error occur, however we would definitely suggest looking up some of the TH-cam channels that are focused solely on KDP. One of our collaborators Sandra Di has had great success with KDP, and perhaps she knows of this issue.
Happens to me too. Coloring books, notebooks and even journal
superb
Glad you enjoyed it!
The music in the background is annoying, I couldn't watch more than ten minutes
Thanks for the feedback here.
It was a bit loud to me.
LOL!
Cause you not serious.

It's an expensive tool, more than Canva😴
There around the same price and I'm sorry but I don't get Canva. The results seem generic to me. My opinion.
I enjoy Kittl way more than Canva I canceled my subscription and stick to Kittl
Depends on what you need to create! 😉 Thanks for watching!
I tired Canva before but kittl got a lot of features and its UI is easy to nativagte
All the ai tool is a paid ones
ackground "music" is awful and annoying.
Thanks for the feedback.
Stop music... diverting
Thanks for the feedback!
you never show how to upload the manuscript. Turns out you need to combine all the pdf's into a single file. or Doc/x
Correct! You can either do that from the Adobe Acrobat (PDF) pages tool, or by utilizing another free PDF combiner tool. We are working on making our own feature that will allow you to decide whether you want to combine them, or keep them separate.
Great... another avenue of income for artists ruined and flooded with Ai.
You don't have to use AI, the point was more-so setting up and showing how you can achieve a KDP book in Kittl, but the medium could also be a documented text. Cheers.
Amazon KDP Publication scammed me out of over $3000 dollars.
We're sorry to hear that!
I spent a lot of time making low content books for KDP only to discover that Amazon will NOT ever sell ANY low content indie published books, NOT ONE has ever sold one copy. They will only show and sell big publisher low content. KDP is ONLY for writers.
Sorry to hear that you have had that experience! However, we do have users with great success selling low content published books through KDP. Cheers!
Sorry for your experience. There must be a problem with your books. Too many others doing well with low content, including me.
After 40 minutes I just couldn't take your pronunciation of kawaii anymore and had to stop the video.
Sorry to hear that!
Has anyone earned anything after watching this video ?
We know many people/users making great income with KDP books!
