I have two of the three options- the laser and the watch- how I see it for me 🙂 up to the distance where my dispersion is well within the width and depth of a green, the watch is fine. When I get closer knowing the exact yardage to the pin is very confidence inspiring, for me this is less than150 yards or so. Also knowing the exact carry distance over bunkers is very useful. What can I say- when I play for fun, I use the watch for its simplicity, when I am in a competition I use the laser.

That's a great mix, I know multiple devices can get more expensive but this is be the best way to go where possible!

I have the phantom 2 not (the slope addition) and it pairs up with the Bushnell app on my iPhone. No subscriptions. I had many different Bushnell range finders over past 20 years but realistically I don’t need to ping the flag. These GPS units give front middle and back. That’s all I need for the green. I get distances to hazards too on the Bushnell app and phantom 2.
