Today we are walleye fishing on Pool 4 of the Mississippi River! This is one of my favorite places to target walleye. The river changes a ton and it is a massive sprawling body of water. In this video we show a few different methods for catching a ton of Mississippi River walleye. We start the video trolling Rapala Shad Dancers in shallow water. We then switch and throw Kailins Tickle Tail Swimbaits for shallow fish on points. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more content!

Grew up fishing there and recognize the "head of the lake" where you were trolling and also nearer point no point. Lots of great fishing on the river if you know the spots to fish. Great to see a "pro" have some great fishing where I enjoyed fishing growing up. Good stuff!
Dogs have tendency to stress me out on the boat too. I finally got mine to learn to sit in the front and not run around. Wasn't easy but sooooo much better. Another great video guys. You two are excellent. Fellow northern WI guy here.

Those shad dancers absolutely slay crappies. You can run some split shot to get them to run deeper on a slow retrieve. Good shout out on an underrated crank bait!
Was out there as well. The bite was hot everywhere. You get the color they want and you are very busy.
The dogs may have been a pain, and trust me i know. But they brought a smile to my face. I sure do miss mine

Basically same type of water i fish in. Murky brown and with current. The ottawa river way down in Easter Ontario.

Try jigging raps in some of the spots you are fishing sometimes the sonar plus imaging doesn't pick them up or ripping raps along the the shore in gold color #6 pounded them 2 to 22 ft of water
Did the oil change light freak you out or was there just too much current for the kicker?

Haven’t been able to watch this one quite yet but what exact line counter reels are you running for walleye trolling? Model and size?

I'll give it to you, I love dogs, but I wouldn't be able to handle the dogs in the boat. Just the thought of one of them getting a hook in them would worry me sick

@@aaronwbakeman We went from a mile north of the 494 bridge (Wacuota) to about 3 miles south. We used a jig head with a minnow

86 telescopic by 2b fishing or the 53 short rod they make
