    “Newspaper hucksters” would refer to Chris Tomlinson and his book FTA. Just curious sir, was Amos Pollard, an abolitionist, also a slave owner or “pro-slavery”?

    Mario, again your scholarship has defined the need for critical thought and research. We appreciate you and your continuous pursuit of emancipation of the mind through corrective history. The longer "a lie" takes root, the harder it is to unloosen its strangle hold on nourishing plants. When I was a kid, I thought wearing the Davey Crockett squirrel-tail hat, personified one of the greatest heroes. I'm glad childhood is a developmental phase. I will be purchasing your book. Thanks for your work on the Alamo, here in San Antonio. The Alamo will never be the same and neither will we.

    A book not to buy. Author failed to do critical research before and after to bring historical context. That restricting critical information leads his conclusions to propaganda.
    For an in-depth historical evaluation, see my comments on his other TH-cam site Alamo then his book title. My reviews are there with sources to rebut his conclusions. Thank You.

      I agree. The battle for Texas was not fought because of slavery nor was the civil war. The civil war was fought over states rights. Slavery was a small component of nothing but it makes for a good bed time story. If the civil war was about slavery then why did Jefferson Davis and General Lee draw up papers to offer slaves freedom in return for fighting for the south?

    • @dontuserachelslurs
      @dontuserachelslurs 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fiddlefolk because they were losing badly and desperate.
      Have you read the confederate declaration of independence? They were buttmad about northern states not capturing and returning their escaped slaves. They open the document by framing it as between slave states and non slave states. The civil war as inarguably first and foremost about southern states trying to maintain their right to be slavers.

    • @fiddlefolk
      @fiddlefolk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dontuserachelslurs you are incorrect. The south was designated as a slave state because they were a slave state. That is not what the war was about. It was about state’s rights. The yanks wanted extreme tariffs for all of the southern profiteering. The yanks believed the south held an unfair advantage due to slavery and thus the reason they were so profitable. The yanks were jealous. They didn’t give two shits about a slave.

  • @johnadams5489

    Before America was created even , King George of England decreed, on Dec 10,1770, to the governor of Virginia, ( a colony ) , that " NO LAW BY WHICH THE IMPORTATION OF SLAVES SHOULD BE IN ANY RESPECT PROHIBITED OR OBSTRUCTED." It was in 1713 AN ENGLISH COMPANY OBTAINED THE CONTRACT FOR THIRTY YEARS, TO IMPORT 144,000 NEGRO SLAVES, to Spanish colonies in America South and Central. It was King Philip of Spain and Queen Anne of England, who both had a quarter stake of the profits of this contract, making the two monarch's slave dealers. The curse of slavery existed before the creation 1776, of the American revolution. With considerable turmoil to abolish slavery repeatedly being defeated by powerful empires. It would take the costly American Civil War to finally do so. Your error is to ignore all the history about slavery before and after the Alamo timeframe. Ignoring the vast differences of opinion on the subject of slavery, that had to spill over into the Texas/Mexican territory, the wild west. Blatantly accusing all Texians of the curse of slavery to prop up the Mexican viewpoint in an attempt to rewrite history. Such rewriting is propaganda.

      The slaves were not Hamites! They were the true J*ws of the bible. Israel's curse was slavery. The slaves from Africa were freemasons Amalekites grand children of Esau. They were supposed to be slaves the whole thing was a trick to get over here. They are the ones with the NA's and British that started slavery. This is the temple that they overthrew in the bible. That the Prophet Daniel said would be restored! As you can see its is being restored. The Temple in the other Israel is a mosque not the truth Temple.

      I do agree they are always placing the blame on White People. It was the Africans that taught them these things. The Africans begat Europeans and all of Asia. The symbols of Supremacy go way back to the church of lalibela the rock hewn church. They are the descendants of Cain. They were trying to avenge the fact that they were originally from America and South America. Cain was born before Abel so they felt that the land was theirs.

    • @williamcoleman8770
      @williamcoleman8770 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The law of April 6th 1830 is what started all of this. Mexico wanted American settlers to stop coming into Mexican territories with slaves. Stephen F Austin disagreed and fought tooth and nail to preserve the right to do so. Any and every person that fought against Mexico was fighting to support Austin’s beliefs regardless if they owned slaves or not.
