6:40 i'll never be able to put into word how meaningful this music is to me... it resumes my whole childhood and as soon as i hear it i have the urge to cry and i could listen to it all day, i'm 25 now but the first time i played and heard it i was just a 3 years old kiddo but i'll never get over it, it's such a magical but kinda sad/nostalgic feeling that invades my chest. i can't wait to play it on the remaster version on February 14th and maybe be able to travel in time and experience it like it's the first time. Thank u for posting the gameplay, thank you Tomb Raider, thank YOU, Lara Croft!
@@cyberbeefpv2810 i played the game when I was 12 years old and i forgot about that music. as soon as it kicked in i felt teleportet to 1998 (when I played it) ... wow ... I now I played the level in 37 minutes. back then it took me 2 days hahaha :)
Finally visited Venice today after all these years. Played the violin song and had a little dance by the canal with one of those motorboats going by in the background. Remembered playing this on the PS1 all those years ago, could say it was an inspiration!
@@franky_the_bossfaithful to the original. If the guy was expecting somekind of visual fireworks or graphics similar to currentl AAA games he must be quite disappointed
2:46 I used to try to park the boat right outside this door so I could dive right into it lol she would land seated in the boat. It was tricky but very satisfying when it would work.
So, you know the area where the green dragon secret is? When I was a kid, I noticed there was a closed door in that area, and I spent hours looking all over level 2 to find a way to open that door. It wasn't until I became a teenager that I realized...that's just a door you can't go into. Just for show, but man it really bothered me as kid. I'm like, why the heck can't I open this door? What's behind here? Med packs? A new gun? Lol
I have had the exact same feeling. The desing of the door is different than any other door to trigger your curiosity. I think it is intended by the game designers
I spent days trying to get past the mines in Venice just to find out I need you to get the other boat and I am irritated at LOL but now I know how to finish the game
For me, this is where the entire series started to go downhill. After a great opening level, we get too many human enemies, vehicles, and.... no tombs to raid. TR2 was good, but it unfortunately also started all of the worst trends that helped kill the franchise.
I understand where they are coming from but I must digress that the story here is that Lara has to face an entire mafia and make her way from Venice Italy, to under the ocean all the way to China again to the Tibetan temple. Yeah once you play the game it begins to feel like 007 shoehorned into the game but it has some quality of life improvements in other aspects of the game.

Watching this and imagining how the remasters are gonna look 😍😍😍
So whats your opinion
@@franky_the_bossfaithful to the original. If the guy was expecting somekind of visual fireworks or graphics similar to currentl AAA games he must be quite disappointed
I’m liking it. But I think it’s a bit dark in some parts so I switch to the old graphics 😂
How I remember it, but BETTER. I’m so glad they kept the classic sound FX in there

When she picks something up aha! Love it so many memories missed so many schooldays becous of this game goosebumps 😂😂
I remember playing the shit out of this on the Demo!!! Literally this level sticks out in my memory when I was 10 yrs old,
Man I loved those Demo Disc's, I would go to Pizza Hut just to get the newest one
The most iconic level
I’m so excited to play the remastered version in a few days time and relive the memories of my childhood! 😃
I will admit, it would have been nice if there was something that told me the boats could boost and the canoes could be smashed
Boats can boost. Thank you, I was like how are they doing this?
14:26 in case you are wondering like me: the boat has a boost, you will need it for this (on my Xbox controller it's button A)
Ps 1 it‘s X
How is it on pc?
@@PATRiKTMPL sorry I don't know, but it should be visible in the control settings
@@PATRiKTMPLprobably the jump button, but I don't know for sure
OMG! Thank you! And here I was looking around for a faster boat! 😂

love this game
Just came back from Venice... Had to watch this 😂
Same 😅
Is there similarities?
Did you see Lara jumping around
Venice is the best level in Tomb Raider 2 in my opinion, epic music and you get to drive a boat! 😃
I was so stuck on the very last bit. I had no idea you had a boost button until I saw this video.
Hahaha same here! Came here to figure out how to do that jump
This takes me back
Nice to see some recent comments 😉
that game was amazing...
Haha I came for help too! Boost is B on Switch. That’s was killing me 😅

nostalgia ❤ my teenage days
same here
Love this level venice
I wish that Lara could use often melee weapons, such as a steel pipe, knife and masamune sword (like the ones from Final Fight arcade).
1:54 Is this key needed for finishing the level? I didn't pick it up and now I can't go back as I'm too far into the sewers..
memories...
Playing the remastered version and can't remember how to open that last gate before the mines!!

Ah jeez for some reason one of the gates has closed again for the short cut out of the Venice level and I have no idea where the switch was.
Miss Lara croft
Not entirely sure why the remastered version they don’t have the iconic Venice music maybe copyright issues ??
It does for me on PS5
@@guitargamesandliverpool music is older than 100 years so it's public domain. it's on the ps5 versions.
I feel sorry for the dogs
So we all start this level in the same way?
Op gameplay
what key did u used to get off the boat ? (playing pc mode)
On classic controls it's jump + A or D. I didn't manage to figure out how to do it with modern controls
With modern controls it's the jump button plus either left or right on the stick/D pad
Il y a que 1 Bateau à Venise !!!!
???
What mode used, please ?
I feel so lost in this fase😢
come faccio a scaricare il gioco??????
Video games ALWAYS had too much violins.
That was weird at 11:57. She looked like she was farting lol💨
Lol
Lol
How in the fuck did you get the boat up that hill it's not working for me
Gotta press jump before getting the boat up.
