    “When people succeed in life, it makes me smile”. That’s a quality and extremely rare trait right there. No jealousy and simply wishing good for everyone is something we don’t find in most people.
    Great content man.

    I must say I'm happy I didn't start on a liter bike. Not like a zx6 is any more recommended for the first bike also, but I'm grateful for the experience I accumulated, the mistakes I made and lessons I learned that I can successfully apply to a liter bike in the future. I tried my buddys panigale V2 and that thing was not as forgiving, and I found it less comfortable, more aggressive, it made me appreciate my zx6 even more. I think the 600's is a great sweet spot particularly in terms of sport bikes, but again, I hope to add my dream R1 bike one day to the stable.

    It's weird how everyone has such a different experience with the s1000rr. For me the bike is absolutely brutal. I feel every tiny imperfection in the road and feel absolutely connected. It's also just power everywhere with an incredible sound when you are on it. Bought mine used so I was kinda lucky to have all the little ussues already sorted on it. Got it with 3k miles and have 11k now in half a season. Crazy machine with stage 2

    You can definitely start on a liter bike as long as you are disciplined. Most people lack said discipline so id advise against doing so 😂

    On top end the s1k is stable or shaking compared to V4s?

    Very odd. Im 6’3” 235lbs, and I felt it was the most comfortable sport bike I’ve ever owned/ridden. And I came from a 600cc prior. Never had any issues with vibration, and not a single mechanical issue where I had to take the bike in. Maybe I just got a really good one. I’ve pondered trading for a V4S, but maybe I should keep it if I got lucky

    • @ape_rider

      Well each body type is different. Some people have really long legs and short torso and vice versa… There’s so many to take into account when seeing if the bike is indeed comfortable. Yeah it’s hit and miss with the K67 models. I had issues from the start.

      @@ape_rider understandable. Its the same way with cars too. Some people my height can fit into certain cars while I can’t. R1M is a bitchin bike too though. Enjoy it!

    • @englishsteel-nz6im
      @englishsteel-nz6im ปีที่แล้ว

      RS660 even is too much for a total noobie and a very capable bike--- it's not far from a 600cc supersport. Ask yourself... do you actually want to develop motorcycle skill? If so you don't start on a supersport you develop fundamentals on a forgiving bike and then get a powerful bike and can actually enjoy the bike and it's capability. A rider on a Superbike with 3 inch chicken strips is lame in the moto world lol

    I almost want to start on one of these just because of the sound. I know that's a bad idea, though.

    • @ape_rider
      @ape_rider  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can it’s not impossible; but it is very unforgiving in A mode. You can ride in D mode which de tuned the bike and feels like a 600CC. It’s all mental and maturity level. If you ride responsibly then you should be fine.

    • @mrmcbeth
      @mrmcbeth ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ape_rider That's interesting. If I had the cash, I might actually try that. I think I will end up on an older 600, though. If you were to graph price and features, the line would cross around a 2006 600 super sport. In other words, they cost about as much as a beginner bike but have a lot more upgrades from the factory. So it seems.

    • @ape_rider
      @ape_rider  ปีที่แล้ว

      The newer liter bikes have a lot of safety modes and the ECU can be de-tuned. If you watch the entire video I discuss how the R1 is very unforgiving in A mode. For a beginner, though its not advisable to start on a 1000cc, it is doable if you have the proper mindset and maturity. You can kill yourself just as easily on a 300cc bike if you're riding like a twat.
