Great job on the mini-jetboat and on everything you guys do. Weird question, in the video there is a beautiful shot of the wind blowing through the trees on the property with the tree house. My question is what is it like up in the treehouse in wind like that? It must be moving around a bunch. It would be wicked cool if you got a shot from the treehouse in the wind. Keep up the Awesomeness and Cheers! \m/,
I kind of quit watching your videos for a while after like last year or the year before that when you guys went on the Overland trip and your third person can't remember his name started destroying everybody's Vehicles out in the middle of nowhere. I mean how disrespectful is that even though somebody says yeah jump on it give it hell oh, you are still in the middle of nowhere with no way to repair any of the damages that your third person would have done. And yet he still decided to get on there and tear up if I remember right to people's equipment that wasn't even his own. So I have been checking in on your videos because I like your content and notice you have a new guy. Hopefully this new guy is not as disrespectful to other people's property as your last guy was. Hopefully I'm not going crazy and talking crap and it's still the same guy LOL but I'm pretty sure just putting a mustache on the old guy would not make him a different person hahahahaha. So as long as content keeps going towards the creation side and not towards destroying other people's property in the middle of nowhere I am all!
This is the most fun I’ve had on the water in a long time! Do you think the drone survived? We’re going to test it in the next video after it sits in rice for a week!
It seems like the trim level is pointing the nose up a little too high-- so it's constantly wanting put "pop a wheelie" and jump out of the water when you try to go fast. I'm not sure if that's adjustable or not on this thing.
Bro, order a vtx and maybe even a camera. The water shorts vtxs out instantly and water marks on your sensor are a pain to clean off. Idk if your running digital or analog, but I'm only speaking from analog xp. So many tiny whoops and micros lost to neighborhood pools and things.
This channel and their builds perfectly represents every person who has either attempted to build, dreamed of building or successfully built “useless” toys that do nothing other than bring joy to their owners and those who appreciate the craftsmanship and creativity! It’s so relatable to folks who when building something, people say to them “what’s the point?” Or “is that really necessary to have?”…. Then they see the finished product and scream…. I FREAKING WANT ONE!!!!
yall gotta get with Cleetus and Kyle for collab on mini/micro jet boats i think the world would think its epic. love all you boys do thank you from the bottom of my heart.
A tip for when your drone ends up under water, unplug it before you take it out of the water. It greatly increases the chance of the components not burning out.
Thank you guys so much for this opportunity! Such a pleasure to work with y’all! Can’t wait till the next one 😉 also the most fun I’ve had in a long time!!!!
This is an amazing build to watch but word of advice, waverunners suck up around a 3x3 area in the water and do not take kindly to shallow waters so it is suggested that you push it out farther before starting. Love the videos though and I look forward to the next project!!
@@the_retag I understand that but I was mentioning how they started it in like a foot of water and then immediately sucked up some rocks. I was just trying to give a little advice even though they probably don’t need it
This thing turned out pretty rad man! One thing I see when you get on the throttle the bow bounces because the pump coming out of water. I used to work Chris Hagest the designer and manufacturer of the ProForce hull, one thing I learned from him to counter that nose bounce it to extend the ride plate, the purple plate you reinforced, it essentially give the boat extra length to balance and plane on. Awesome work on the intake grate and pump stuffer, making that intake as smooth as possible! Awesome build man
skeptical such a short hull is going to be able to not do that no matter what. can you improve it? sure. still will do that unless they change it to a prop and get some more air under it.
I Love how all the boys get a go at thrashing the new ride! It stood the test of the whole team. Amazing that they got the hull and weight distribution so good on the first go, it planes really well.
This is definitely one of my favorite builds. But I'm calling it now, in maybe one or two more videos, someone is gonna stuff it and bounce their face off of that windshield frame lol. Having to wear a helmet out on the water would suck, so y'all might wanna consider some padding there or something.
Came here to say this. It's just a jet ski with an automatic tooth remover. I just feel like it's way more dangerous than a jet ski because you can't bail off of it.
I couldn't get that smile off my face while watching this video. As a blacksmith, I must say you're pretty good at welding aluminum. Everyone that has ever tried to TIG weld that stuff knows it can be a PITA to get right.
What a build! I'm amazed by the skill that goes into this. I saw you blasting on the water but without a seatbelt and a sturdy aluminum bar right at face level when you lean forward I think it's a good idea to wear a helmet that covers those pearly whites. Keep up the good work!
17 tears ago I went through ( cleaned and refurbished) 2 jet boats that were each 6 foot long, for a friend, they ran Kawasaki jet ski drives that were hot rodded while 850 cc cylinders etc. What fun
This thing SHREDS!! I am wondering what the plan is for the windshields-lexan or plexiglass? I am also thinking if you create a secondary lip around the edge of the cockpit area and back of the boat it won’t get swamped as often. Solid work fellas, this looks like a lot of fun 🤙
Yoo this thing is craaaazy! Got to be one of the coolest builds, I can't get over how small it is and how much uumph its got, and it's so nimble! That looks like such a blast to ride around in! Killer work!
You guys rock thank you so much for all your hard work it is really impressive how far you've come since the mustang build hoping to see a lot more of your content a boat trailer would be sick
I love that it's double skinned for extra buoyancy and that even with a full bilge, it supports 3 people, and the motor / electrics didn't fail after being soaked. What a great machine, well done guys.
I had this dream years ago, when I was working at a boat shop restoring Chris Crafts…thank you.😃 Or was it when I rode in that boat for a nickel outside some K-Mart or Walgreens store back in the 70’s…either way that is awesome. You guys are incredible…keep it up.
Imagine how fun it be if all of you had one racing around exploring. Amazing build bro you stun me with how smart you are don’t know how you learned to do the things you do.
This thing is rad! Sealing around the engine cover might help keep some of the splash out of the engine bay. I’d also recommend some foam around the top of the windshield - one good wave and someone is getting a visit from the tooth fairy for sure.
cant be too sealed motors gotta breathe! perhaps copying or getting a 750sx snorkel/intake to put up on the bow would be wise. then you can seal it all you want, and the faster it goes the more air it gets if its done right.
Look up 'self bailing drain' for sailboats. In short, no moving parts, it will empty that boat in less than a minute if it were full. You'd be amazed at how fast they work (way faster than bailing with a bucket), and that's in a 'slow' sailboat. Install a couple and you'll never have to think of draining it again. Make sure you get the type with a good seal (some are not so great).
Awesome video! Y'all pressed your luck on potentially flipping or sinking. Maybe get the bilge pump going good and adding some foam. Make less likely to sink. That was unreal how tight it can turn. Looks like a lot of fun. Maybe add a pink stripe but leave it aluminum and don't paint it. Looks too cool the way it is.
AWESOME! I have been so looking forward to this day! Crazy maneuverability in that little guy! Seems pretty quick too! Guessing the rock situation might have taken a little power out of it. With new impeller and wear ring, watch out!

You may be able to fix its bunny hopping by putting long trim tabs on. Though because of poor design it may make the bow dig in making it dangerous in turns.
if you kept the trim at 0 instead of trimmed down or up, it would still bunny hop a little, but I think the force applied to the water by longer trim tabs would cancel out that forward weight change, preventing the bow from digging. Another way to prevent the bunny hopping could be better throttle control, by hardware or by the driver. I think rapidly accelerating creates too drastic of a weight change, so the boat wants to rock back forward. Slower accelerating makes the weight transfer more smooth. ANOTHER another way would be to extend the back of the boat and have the engine in the middle instead of the rear. On a prop boat, this might create resistance, as you'd have to apply more torque to get the propeller spinning, but this wouldn't be as big of an issue in a jet boat. Or maybe it would be, I don't know much about jet boats honestly.
@@ForzaMonkey another way they could just like duct tape the boat engine to their heads then flop around in the sand like a fish that would make the boat perfect
Awesome job guys!!! One thing is the pump seems to have a lot cavitation. Did y’all seal the pump and pump shoe to the hull?? The pump can suck air from around itself and the hull, if not properly sealed. Keep up the awesome content guys!!!
If you put a curl on the boat you will get wet a lot less. Like modern sea/wave barriers, they got a curl that sends back the energy and the wave. Maybe if you look it up you will find an example
Never seen your channel before. Sub'd!!!! Fricken LOVE your craft man. You do it like I do. I've built some rock crawlers mixing parts here and there. Like a Samurai transfer case custom mounts and shafts to a 3 speed automatic transmission in a Chevy Tracker 4 door. Jeep wrangler leaf springs after cutting out the IFS and rear coils. Welded in new spring hangers and shackle mounts, got the Camber angle correct for death wobble avoidance. Chevy Astro van power steering pump, Toyota Tacoma steering gearbox. Made my own brackets for those. Fish plated the critical areas with tube between the frame rails so you don't crush the frame when tightening the through bolts. etc. etc. etc. LOL So much shit. Oh,, a custom tranny mount that allowed for the front drive shaft. Man!!!!! It ALL worked out perfectly the first try!!!!!! Good eyeball engineering is an art!!!!!! I LOVE This stuff!!!!!!!!
Quite awkward! I'm from NZ and we used to have a tall motorbike racer here called Roger Freeth - his nickname was "Superfrog" as his legs stuck out like frog's legs from his bike when he was racing! Unfortunately, he was killed in an accident quite a few years ago now.
My hats off to you guys, great work that boat performs so well! I was wondering what you had for a bilge pump, I'm sure you will figure that out no sweat. What a BLAST and I like that everyone got a turn ripping it! Hope the drone is ok...
The kiwis have been running these for years on gravel rivers in only inches of water, their stuff is all over TH-cam with builds and tricks to run shallow water. Some great river runs are there for great viewing.
Sounds like it's still cavitating.. once you guys iron that part out completely this thing is going to be even more insane! Hella good job, I've been following the build.. Lotta fun you guys are having. May even start a new industry.. Micro Jets!
Thing is mental! Great build, I'm wondering what can be done to keep it from bouncing when you try to open it up in a straight line? maybe some kinda wings on the side? I bet if you talk to ole Cleetus and his jet boat buddies they'd have some ideas. I'd be itching to see how fast it can go wide open in a straight line.
Wow really nailed it on this one I love that little rocket that thing shits and gets. Install a set of trim tabs help plant the bow keep it from porpisin. love to see what that little hurricane will do wide open throttle. Anybody want to take guesses on speed?
Back in the day i put a scoop grate like that one on my 750SX i twin carb. It was a Ocean Pro 《ocean 》 version of Ocean pros scoop grates. It definitely kept you hooked up in choppy water.
The intake grate you showed in the picture on your cellphone is an aftermarket scoop intake grate. Its more for low and mid range power. Very common upgrade for stand-up jet skis to keep the water being forced into the pump even at super low speeds. It will make a great difference but you will probably lose a 1-3mph depending on how high your Top Speed is.. For a better top speed intake grate i would try the stock one and shave the lines smoother and thinner and if its more than 3 bars you can cut the extras out. I know a common mod on a lot sit downs is to cut 2 bars out of stock 5-bar intake grate. Just creates a bigger opening without having any additional drag on the jet pump. Also look into the Yamaha Ride Plate mods that most people do. It basically involves adding some washers in between the Ride Plate and the Hull to Bring the rear of the ride plate down into the water (rear-nozzle side)
Subject: - DRONE Tip: - Cut a piece of White Stirofoam to the Size and Shape you need and Tape or fasten it to the Drone. The foam is light and should prevent the Drone from sinking if it hits the water and being White will be easy to see. Same with a Go-Pro camera. Take a length of string or cord (Strong), tie one end to camera and other end to a piece of White foam (choose your size of foam) or your shirt, coat ect . Just don't tie it around your neck. 😱 Hope this helps. .

this is the best boat i have ever seen 👍
Ported & Polished 100% Mo BettA!!!
At almost 7 feet tall, I wonder how I would look driving this thing😂
Hahahah that would be awesome!!
about as funny as seeing you wearing these midgets life jacket
Quite awkward!
I'm from NZ and we used to have a tall motorbike racer here called Roger Freeth - his nickname was "Superfrog" as his legs stuck out like frog's legs from his bike when he was racing! Unfortunately, he was killed in an accident quite a few years ago now.
@@gaius_enceladus that was such an entertaining story until you mentioned he died
@@gaius_enceladus Same here, I mean not that I´m dead, but my legs stick out while driving my moped, it isn´t funny!🤥
sweet running guys :)
I love how simplistic he makes the language. This is awesome stuff.
So awesome,,,, awesome work + awesome guys can just be awesome 👍
Thatnks!
Really curious to know what the top speed. Looks like fun!
Basically, it´s a jet ski that´s more uncomfortable and less safe. Having said that, still a great build and fun idea!
My hats off to you guys, great work that boat performs so well! I was wondering what you had for a bilge pump, I'm sure you will figure that out no sweat. What a BLAST and I like that everyone got a turn ripping it! Hope the drone is ok...
What kind of engine did you use to get 100hp out of 200 lbs?
Twin Carb 750 out of what looks to be an early to mid 90's Kawasaki Jet Ski ZXI 750
Trim tab, standard boat tech.
Gives a bit of reverse rocker and will suck that little fella to the water.
Nice boat I really like how you made it without a plan and just came at this project with confidence and skill💀
lowkey shpuld remove the fake windhsield, weight reduction and safer so you dont smash your face off of it
Why say something stupid like low-key? It just sounds dumb as fuck
Wow really nailed it on this one I love that little rocket that thing shits and gets. Install a set of trim tabs help plant the bow keep it from porpisin. love to see what that little hurricane will do wide open throttle. Anybody want to take guesses on speed?
Nothing beats Black Rifle Coffee Company! Military grade coffee!
Back in the day i put a scoop grate like that one on my 750SX i twin carb. It was a Ocean Pro 《ocean 》 version of Ocean pros scoop grates. It definitely kept you hooked up in choppy water.
I have cramps in all my smile muscles!!! 😁 That was so sweet 👍
Great build! The drone was on the bottom.... HELP ME! Thanks GHPC! This was fantastic.
Never unsatisfied watching GHPC 💯💪
The work you guys do is amazing ! I’d like so see some of them dirt bikes hiding in the back come out 💯
Whenever y’all start production I’ll preorder mines💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Nice work! Boy I had some bad visions of gave planting on that aluminium windshield. Stay safe!
Subject: - DRONE
Tip: - Cut a piece of White Stirofoam to the Size and Shape you need and Tape or fasten it to the Drone.
Hope this helps.
.
Gotta love grind hard premium quality in every build! 💯
Listen I’m 54 years old and I think what you guys are doing is fricken awesome! I’d love to get something like this going with my son. You know messing around in the garage with small engines building stuff that goes fast. This looks like Washington, Idaho or Montana. Just a guess is all. Do you guys ever have visitors?
"I think I sucked up a rock or somethin." Lol 😂 I died
That thing is so sick but that was the best start ever.
So nice of Comb a Tear for the sponsorship
In case yall have never stand up jet skis, get this thing into 3.5ft deep water and push the rear up and down to push water through the pump to avoid clogging with plants and rocks.
That is the snappiest little boat I’ve ever seen pretty cool
Grind Hard has my vote for most engaging and addictive channel On TH-cam based on content alone! Add the “premium” editing and “premium” personalities and it’s a win all day long. Great job guys! Keep up the amazing work!
Get a adjustable nozzle from like a 2002 ish Yamaha waverunner it’s all manual and you can adjust to keep it from porposing and get it to plain out
Awesome build, adjust weight distribution or work on trim adjustability and you’ll have that porpoising cleaned up enough to do a high speed run!
It's super fun to see that small boat jet ❣️❣️❣️❣️
That boat would be good for family outings!
