It's just a standard Sporter with some "special" engraving. I have a PAC24PL in the 20.6k range. The F after the serial number denotes Forged front Trunnion.
Those poly mags are like the whole rifle, and will out last the average end user. I have had 3 poly mags loaded with 30 rounds each for almost 6 years now, a Magpul, Tapco and an AC Unity, all are still in one peace. I have just started the same process with a US Palm poly mag. I also have a ton of KCI steel mags that work well. I like that rifle, I may need a Radom in my collection.
Cool review on the Pioneer Arms AK. I bought a normal Sporter version of that rifle about 18 months ago and the plastic mags are the only ones that will work with my AK, so I've ordered and purchased quite a few of the polish plastic mags for dirt cheap. Then again, I've only fired about 120 rounds through it since I've had it, and it hasn't run into any issues yet. Can't wait to see more content on this AK.
Pretty cool👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 , great looking rifle seems to work well and maybe someday it will be a collectors rifle!! Looking forward to seeing the next video!! Stay safe..
Freedom Arms are cast by the same company that does or did Rugers. Bought a BFT47 a couple years ago after century sent them out to a bunch of TH-cam channels . Think rob ski got his up to 5000 and it’s holding up good.
I thought ruger did their own in house castings? Any who does the bft have a forged front trunnion? If not keep an eye on that head spacing. Get a field gage.
Cast parts are okay, as long as the Bolt , and the front trunnion are forged. I believe the russians even went to cast gas blocks and front sights, in the 70s. Keep an eye on that head space.
I don't get why they didn't paint all the metal the same finish. We got what looks like 4 different finishes between the receiver, cover, barrel & gas tube.
Cast is concerning on the parts that attach to the receiver because there is stress flexing while shooting. Cast is briddle and it will crack after so much bending stress. The AKM has rivets and not screws for a reason. The metallurgy involved in an AKM rifle is very critical, because if you see an AKM in slow motion while shooitng, you can see how the weapon "flexes". Therefore, how is put together is essential for the longevity of the weapon.
Im looking to get back into the 7.62 AK game after selling off all my 5.45 AKs and still debating ifi should just buy another wasr10. I was looking to get a pioneer AKM, or Riley defense AKM, or might just build one using a 4.5mm rear Trunnion and do a Khyber style build on a romy parts kit.
Sold my Sam 7 years ago and regret it every day since then. I'm looking for another and this one might be the one because I can't afford Sam 7s anymore Thanks for the video.
I know how you feel. I have sold a lot of guns over the years that I wish I hadn’t and now it is too expensive to replace them. But I still do have my Arsenal SGL-31 Legion AK that I paid like $900 which are selling on gunbroker for over $3000. So I feel your pain.

Thanks TBP 🤠
Love it so much I purchased 3. Didn't like the pistol grip so upgraded all 3 to a hogue grip. So much better

I just bought the .22 version of that two days ago. I love it. Its not a limited edition but it is a Pioneer Arms model.
I've seen these already being sold at an asking price of $1,200 !! Guess it's an instant collectible.. glad I purchased 3 of them ..lol
What? $1200? That’s crazy. 🤣
Really! Lol, I paid $449 for mine. One of the last sold. I own several AKs and this looks like it will AK. Going to the range tomorrow.

Because its park and nitride finishes... not paint
