- In todays video we are on day two of tanking with the new tanker!! (Whoop whoop) We borrowed my cousins Massey for a day and Joanna joined us. Will we get all our are slurry out in time? Its going to be a rush on the farm.

35 psi is crazy for those big tyres. If you're not doing much road work 20 psi should be plenty and give a better footprint in the field.
By you and your father modifying the tanker, I'm sure the company will take note to offer those options. And I'm more sure other farmers would like those options and ask the company for them. Great job explaining everything to us! I love learning about cow and farming. Awesome getting to see Jo today! I love that she will ride in that bumby tractor to bring you lunch and spend time with you! You two are perfect together! ❤🥰

Love your channel but I have to say this is the first time I've ever heard a love song while watching manure being spread LOL.
The good thing with the astroturf on the track, is the sand was still on/in it and will help the cows hooves wear out and possibly giving you less to do when you're hoof trimming
I think your air holder is actually called a "siphon separator". Tankers with a vaccuum pump tend to produce bubbles out of the slurry while filling your tanker. The bubbles then get pushed out on the top by the rising fill level and then break apart in that siphon separator. Otherwise your slurry would go through your vaccuum pump and that would be very bad. Just empty the speparator before it overflows. :)

Looking good a nice break in the weather. Hard to believe you were both pulling your hair out over wet/flooded land. Good to see the tanker working well and getting plenty of goodness into the land after the third cut silage. Also massive result on the Astro turf. Great video,thanks Tom.
That blowing off sound is not a problem you can give it more revs, that over pressure release valve keeps pressure in the tanker at one bar plz like so that Tom sees this

Hi Tom, just a comment on why the bowl is filling up, over filling tanker pretty sure it’s like an over flow type thing. Hope this helps.

Great footage, get a wonderous image of the farm and farming. Especially with the music assigned to the film.
If your running your tanker on 540 PTO when filling up on have the shaft going at 340 speed. It doesn’t need to be at 540. This should mean less pressure so less in over flow cap on tanker. The tanker will/should fill just as quick. P.s just remember to stop the tanker filing at right time.

The container that holds the slurry is when you fill up when it gets to the top it comes down into that then when that fills up it comes out through the pump
That little Hurlimann does a grand job and with those new tyres and a bit of a wash it scrubs up very well too. Who needs strawberry milkshake snow foam?👍

Always get a fine mist/steam in a tanker just condensation in bowl from loading and water always throfs up an abit goes past ball

They make a rubber paint for coating the grips of tools. You should get some of that through Amazon and use it for coating the handles on your equipment 😊😊🇺🇸🇺🇸

Reminded me of a fun time with my folks when I was a kid. We were driving off on holiday somewhere. Cream car. We lived in Devon so there somewhere. Driving along a hedged lane and suddenly there’s a rapid “SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT” - car’s been muck-spreader on. We all had a good laugh about it. That’s what car washes are for. Mum was glad we didn’t have the windows open though. 😂

Hey tom good video, can you not change the angle of the 2 handles cos even with the rubber will still damage the paint, surely an issue to speak to the makers about as it's new, did you consider an auto connector system so would be easier and quicker 👍

Hey Tom, you mentioned in the video that you want to change the handle for the valve on the side fill port and the way I saw was that you wanted to flip it over. Will it get in the way of the other handle that you just put the hose on.

So Tom what's the tower over the slurry pit for? It has a pipe going to the slurry tank but on top has a box with a chute, but also has vegetation growing on top like the big poo tank.

Can you open up the above ground slurry container? If so will you be getting it drained out and put a tractor in there to get the grass and solids out? That would be a cool video!
Looks like your Father at one time had a manure separator. Could you talk about that equipment beside the pump out tank. Composted manure could be sold at your farm store.
Nice bit of kit , still a tad old skool though , should av got a hi-spec auto loading slurry vaci tank , had 1 for yrs with a t7 up front ..sod getting off the seat connecting pipes ..

Hi Tom, great video, do you soil sample your land, did you get any slurry on the 3rd cut silage ground yet? I know grazing gets preference with dairy cows still out but surely the silage ground needs p and k topped up after the silage.
I’ve already said you have a good girlfriend when she vlogs and comes to the farm but when you have one that sings for you when your in a tractor you know she’s a keeper

In an earlier video you asked why you double spread with the tanker, I used to do it when re-seeding was on the agenda or getting the tank emptied before the ban was due.

When your slurry is really watery the vacuum will suck it into the pump hence your glass filling up ! It’s there to stop water slurry from getting into your pump
