That brought a tear to my eye, I remember getting the first really nice present for my dadd that he would never buy for himself, and how much he loved it, and how it made me feel. Now that he's gone, it still is one of the best memories! Hold tight to your parents Tom, the world isn't the same when they are gone.
Isn't that the truth...miss mine a lot...the world seems just a bit colder without them.

His Mum's snicker behind the magazine was so cute! She was happy for her son being able to gift something that will help Dad and she was happy for her husband to be blessed. Pain with knees is a very rough thing to go thru when you life work involves using those knees. Danger doesn't take the day off!!

The Ginger Warrior embraces the future without throwing away the past. For me, the best illustration of that is whilst reciting his mantra of 'time is money' (He's right of course), he still makes time to have a good old chinwag with whomever is visiting the farm. This wonderful balance of good old fashioned community spirit, humbleness and an eagerness to continue to move forward manifests itself not only in a successful farming business but in Tom himself. Our cutter has 2 blades made of 8cm thick plate tool steel sharpened to a razor edge at 34degree pitch (36cmx36cm) but is (as all of our equipment) about 45 years old. Once up to speed it can mulch 1 ton of haylage per hour and chucks it 20 meters to the silage pit. We use our bulldozer to pack it and that’s our winter feed for our ewes during the pregnancy cycle. It’s an absolutely essential piece of equipment and demands first attention when maintenance needs done.

Canada... My grandfather and I worked a small commercial greenhouse, from the time I was 8- 29. Also he put 1/2 acre into vegetables that I would have to take to Ww1 veterans, pensioners, widows etc. He fed the neighbourhood and gave them bedding plants for the soul. We had horse, ducks and chickens as well. Son in Northern Ontario, lives on his wife's parents 5 th generation dairy farm and when needed , gives a hand. So I love your videos because I love farming and have twin sons living in England, and l0pike seeing the cyclic nature of the agricultural year, in the UK. Love the animals but most of all, love how it all works so well because you have made another family with then people you care about. A real secret in getting things done. How familiar with the fixing of machinery, and my grandfather who had a full time job as an engineer had a motto." If you don't have it, machine it!" The hard work, or play for me, was part of the reward of seeing everything come into place. And sharing the time together.
So you are not plain Tom & Ginger and Heidi and company, you have created another family that looks for solutions and enjoys what you do. That makes all the difference. Seeking solutions rather than ego pumping is the way you all work.
All the best for your marriage. We were due in London, July 2020, for one of our twins weddings, but then Covid lockdown here (right now too) and UK. Son held on to his date and Registry offices opened 4 days before his wedding, so the Canadian family was able to watch on Zoom, with all the women wearing big hats or fascinators for the occasion. All best to you and your family... Farm family or by blood. Best in 2021

I wish you all a merry Christmas. The present you got your dad is the present that will just keep on giving. We have had a Mchale c460 for 4 years and it has been one of the best bits of kit we have.
I mean this in the nicest way possible...The Ginger guy with the moustache reminds me so much of Arkwright from Open All Hours, absolutely loved that show and that character, still watch it daily on reruns here in South Australia 🇦🇺
