  • What Holi is without a glass of chilled and refreshing Bhang or Thandai? In this video, we have revealed the real secrets of how to make Bhang! This traditional Indian drink is thousands of years old and often associated with specific Hindi rituals and festivals like Holi, Maha Shivratri etc.
    Have a quick look over all the ingredients you will need 👇👇
    1. Bhang leaves - 2 tbsp
    2. Dry Rose Petals - ½ tbsp
    3. Fennel Seeds - 2 tsp
    4. Charmagaz - 1 tbsp
    5. Poppy Seeds - 1 tbsp
    6. Black Pepper Whole - 5-6 pcs
    7. Cashews - 75 gm
    8. Almonds - 50 gm
    9. Sweets (Preferably Kalakand sweets) - 7-8 pcs
    10. Sugar - ½ cup
    11. Sweet Curd (Mishti Doi) - 100 gm
    12. Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
    13. Rose Water - 2 tsp
    14. Milk - 2litr (altogether)
    15. Ice Cubes - as per your choice

    1. Never ever keep Bhang in any metal containers - silver, copper or brass - keeping bhang in a metal container can be harmful.

    Awesome presentation. How is the herb active without heating before use? Or did you do that? I'm not sure how you would get an effect from the herb. Or is that not that point on the drink? Excellent video production.

      For best results, soaking overnight is ideal.. but in case of a short time, you can soak for an hour or two..

      Weed is the flower, Bhaang is made with Leaves of that plant, no need to Decarb.. 👍

    Few decades ago a hotel keeper in Pushkar, Rajasthan, asked if I want to try his bhang lassi.
    He counted different choises with his fingers: plain, mild, normal, strong, extra-strong, and King-Strong.
    He had six fingers in his left hand.
    I was thinking that I was hallusinating.
    I chose normal. After he showed way to mountain temple, and told to bring some ghee to sage.
    The sage made some sort of bread with the ghee. And teached something about wisdom of Shiva and yoga, that has become one of my guiding lights through my journey to find balance between spiritual health and economical wealth.
    Since then I’ve been thinkin, that one day I’ll learn to make bhang lassi.
    I’ve been trying to find information of how to make them green bhang balls from ganja plants.

      These are the leaves of the plant, which is legal in India, in Bengali we call it Sidhhi, mostly we prepare this in Shivratri and Bijaya Dasami(Last day of Durga puja). Hope one day you'll try to make this 😃. Just FYI, If you soak the leaves for a day and add more soaked poppy seeds, it'll turn into KING STRONG.. But please dont put Supari or any other ingredients in it, then it might harm you.
