10 Stereotypes of Twisted players

- Sorry about the long pause but expect this to be the new norm as I have a little announcement at the end of this video!
Throughout the rolling hills and prairies of the fictional state of Keysota, scientists and thrill seekers alike set out on the roads in chase of severe weather. Some will observe from a safe distance, while others will risk it all to get the perfect shot of a violent tornado from close range. Whether you're out there deploying data-collecting probes, intercepting in an armored vehicle, or just taking pictures, you're bound to have a run in with mother nature like no other.
Just watch yourself, sometimes the hunters become the hunted.
I loving seeing y’all’s stereotypes in the comments. You lot are hilarious 😂👍
DOWINATING
indeed,dowinating
Tiv 2 players are probably most insane on twisted since they like to go for highest tornadoes for the money
Im one of Intercepter, Reed Timmers and EMS
I am one of those tiv 2 intercepts who intercepted a 300 MPH+ tornado one time in game
You forgot the classic: "NWS goofy employee" basically those amazing people who decide to mess with the warning boxes and make either the most beautiful piece of art on history or anything to annoy everyone else's experience.
And also with 1.21 those people who rate EF5 to a barely damaged mobile house.
i literally just main being an NWS employee, because I'm good at predicting tornadoes accurately and telling chasers where to go. i really enjoy it
@@tahwing Hero
You can’t rate a house barely damaged as an “EF5,” it only lets you put an accurate amount of estimated wind speeds, in simple terms, when 1.21 was fully implemented like a few months ago, you are no longer allowed to put inaccurate wind speed estimates for tornadoes and damage in Twisted.
@@Roblocksgaming really??? Cause i've seen people still rate EF5 on places like Funkley and Trent
@@ognamesweretaken5836 I am pretty sure they fixed that in 1.21, because now if you for example try to put estimated winds of like 150 mph on a house up to broken glass or something like that, it will say “inaccurate wind estimate.”
I’ve gone from a probe dropper in 2021, to an interceptor in 2022 2023, and then to a proud risk taking dowinator in 2023 2024. There’s nothin like becoming a $750,000 probe 😎
Based, i sometimes do dow intercepts but not as common as when dow had a deploy threshold of 170
Hey, I just started the game, it just feels so boring being a probe dropper, any tips? It’s like I drive here, don’t see a tornado, drive in front of the storm, don’t see a tornado, it just all feels slow, I have only spent like an hour in game tho so maybe I just need to play more, I was considering just dropping 1k robux just to buy an interceptor but that’s a lot of money on a game I’m not committed too
@@technopancake85 definitely, depending on the thermo’s is how good the storms are going to be, also make sure to by a mesonet at tomcat repairs under nody or smthin. But it takes a while
@@technopancake85 Well I was the same way start out don't worry. I suggest watching a Twisted beginners guide. Those videos will teach you how to position yourself in front of storms and get probe hit. And If you are going to spend money on the game, i'd get the 2x money game pass, it definitely speeds things up. The game isn't for everyone either but If you love weather I say stick with it. There is a lot to learn but if you learn how the storms move, how to read the thermals and stay committed, you'll have a ton of money in no time.
@@JoePez bro I got infront of a tornado right? So I’m looking around for it and I don’t see it, A DAMN HILL HID IT in the matter of seconds I was flung around, stuck under a tree and bled out in my truck, it was awsome
I love rolling up to a night tornado watching headlights swirl high in the sky
I’m 100 % a Reed timer
DROP IT DOWWWWWN!!!!
Me to also Reed Timmers %1,000
THAT WAS A GOOD INTERCEPT HUHAHAHAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAA
DROP. IT. DOWWWWWN
East, we need to drop east.
A rare but still existing stereotype is the Logger, the guys who obsessively clear out every fallen tree that they can find because it's easy money. Remember back before Prior Lake existed and route 35 had a a whole forest on its west side, and every tornado that passed by would completely block the road for about a half mile? I earned enough to buy my DOW by keeping that road clear. Good times, man.
How do you clear damage? I've always thought the only way to earn money in the game as a newbie was through probes and it's honestly kind of annoying.
@@KermitTheGamer21 Chainsaw pass
@@meganfisher831chainsaw pass is broken for me. I’d sit there for 5 minutes cutting a tree and nothing will happen. Can I please get some help?
I'm the boring one. I stay in a house pretending I have kids and an invisible wife and hope I don't get hit by a turnader.
i can relate 😂
definitely a reed timmer, NWS reporter, radar watcher, and navigator all at once, while occasionally using DOW or doing probe truck gaming
Where is the probe truck on the car menu? I have it but I can’t find it
it's in the warehouse
@@tahwing yeah I found it thanks
I love when Im trying to intercept and I just see this tiny little car go "I Am The Probe" and just disappear in seconds 😐
EMS player.
Blinky flashy lights and weewoo noises. Also helping NPCs pays better than probes.
Navigators get those automatic brownie points, they're pretty cool people.
you forgot the MOST MOST common : intercepter interbeggers, they're the ones that say "can i ride with you i'm new to twisted i dont know how to play i promise i'll tornado"
I think right now im mostly hanging as a photographer 🤙🤙
Same
Yessir!
Im a TIV main and. DOW user. I mainly want to be IN the tornado but i haven’t gotten an intercept since 1.19
@@JerryOnQuackI’m a probe dropper but sometimes I report damage when a tornado does hit a town or a housing divisions or mostly mobile homes
But sometimes when I make a mistake while being too close to some really strong tornadoes I am a doofinator by accident
You did forget the guy whose did watched " twister " movie and also driving around a red 2 gen ram .
this man needs 100k subscribers cus ur so underrated I have seen all ur videos and I love them
Forgot about the “niche car nerds” (im one) but hear me out, using the 2012 doghouse with your friend is peak twisted.
I used to be a photographer, probe dropper, and radar watcher. I’m now a reed timmer.
I'm more of an interceptor, a radar watcher, a probe dropper, a DOW user, and a photographer. I modeled my chasing style after that of Tim Samaras, and I've seen my fair share of doofinators and Reed Timmers lol I also use a DOW occasionally. My main car is a White Chevy Cobalt. Tim Samaras was my idol and it shows.
Sometimes it’s fun to do a Reed Timmer and just yell “DRIVVEEE DRIVEEE” when your in the path of a huge tornado
My twisted stereotypes:
1.18: the tornado stalker
1.19: the sweaty probe dropper
1.20: the deep fried pc user
1.21: *REED TIMMER*
as someone who is a probe dropper
I love the thrill of intercepting tornadoes with probes, the way you know you are not invincible and that you can get picked up at any moment.
the ones that sacrifice themselves always gimme a good chuckle tho
You forgot about the multi-taskers like me, basically we navigate, let the chat know about storms, take pictures, intercept them, and prove them.
man im gonna love this channel
Great video, i like to use the dow to benefit the whole server and just the gameplay is pretty fun imo
Happy 900th Subscribers!
Oh wow, I actually didn't know you were a youtuber who would've been recording background footage in the same server as me, and honestly I'm already kicking with the editing and narration. I would love to see you play with friends.
Nice video and you know what I was playing with a friend when a demonic SpongeBob was chasing us in are car and keep in mind this was in twisted
I am a doofinator and I am proud, there's this one time where i parked my small charger under a dow for safety since we were right next to the tornado, and IT SOMEHOW SAVED ME, i wish I took a screenshot of it but it was amazing.
I’m either interceptor, mostly probe dropper, some times ems and with friends I might become the gps. Btw, I love the video it was hilarious
started playing the game a month ago, started off from simply watching tornadoes off in the distance, spent a little while as a probe dropper, and now starting the other day, intercepting with a tiv-1
W vid man! Welcome to the twisted CC Community!🎉
I'm definitely a photographer. I love sitting on that hill just southwest of Hazelton or in Trent.
I also do EMS sometimes.
Ayyy a new video, I'm late asf tho. I'll start your Silverado soon!
180th subscriber keep up the work 👍
your actually so underated
I AGREE
I am a NWS employee I give shoutouts like what category, location and where and when it’s likely to strike so the storm chasers can position for the best shots and stuff like that
Damn I am an interceptor a navigator a probe dropper and I was a doofinator at the start... 😂😂
Here is another type of people, its called the missers basically they keep missing the tornados
Im a mix of the probe dropper and the goofinators 😭🙏🙏
I love this video so damn much
The reed timmer is so relatable
I'm a Probe Dropper! But at the same time, I'm also an Intercepter, because I own a Dominator 2.
This video is awesome and funny. Underated roblox twisted video
I'm a Reed Timmer/Interceptor/Doofinators
Reed Timmer: because i keep saying DROP DOWN DROP DOWN
Interceptor: Because... Intercepting, with a DogHouse IMAX vehicle.
Doofinator: Doghouse vehicle, what did you think?
I am a role-player, photographer, and a damage analyst in Twisted💀
The guys who spawn vehicles on prior lake gas station, the leather faces chain saw welding people who just like the noise
I just got a Dow 6 last night and got sucked up into an ef5. I now learned I am in fact a dowinator 😂 +sub
i was a Probe Droper/Interceptor/Photographer back during my Twisted days
Nah bro get out of this man’s comment section
@@VandersJr SHUT UP
h
In the beginning of me playing twisted, I was more of a doofinater. Now, the more I play it I am a photographer. Pretty cool
im definitely a Probe Dropper. With the 1996 Twister movie being my favorite one of all time, it fits me
You forgot the stupidest one: The Crazy But Chill Chasers
These guys drive civilian cars or Storm Chasing cars (not interceptors) into tornadoes or intercept them.
They mostly are pretty chill but usually ask to stick near an interceptor if things get too heafty. They also probe and Intercept.
I'm one of them, its fun sitting in a dominator 3 and watching your probe truck get slid, then fliped, and then tossed away knowing that you couldve died if you stayed in there. But sometimes its all sh*ts and giggles 'til someone giggles and sh*ts,
AKA the interceptor that you hopped in gets lofted.
Personally, I switch between intercepting, probe dropping, and dow scanning. I guess you could put me in a category called the "data collecters" as that is my main goal for most tornadoes.
I love that I am in one of the clips 🤣🤣🤣 Nothing like being a probe dropper
You forgot the player whos always camping next to sirens and waiting for them to go off
I actually a probe dropper for most high risk chases but still driving on Dominator 3 for the close range intercepts if the tornado is way too strong.
what is it called when i drive the starter vehicles into a tornado?
I’m a mix of a Dowinator, Photographer and a Reed Timmer. I use the DOW (except I still don’t know how to use it in 1.21), try to take photogenic pictures sometimes, and say stuff like Reed to myself whenever something intense is happening. Sometimes, late at night, where I want to play Twisted but I don’t want to chase, I sit back at the NWS office and issue warnings. Radar watcher, I guess?
i'm probably an interceptor, probe dropper, dow user, photographer, doofinator, damage reporter and a radar watcher, oh i really am all of those
Haven't played in awhile, but from these I fit into 2 categories
The Doofinators and The Photographers, usually because once I finish my photos I divebomb into the tornado
I love probe dropping and it’s hilarious when I inevitably underestimate the strength of a tornado and get WAY too close to drop my probes. The other night I may have gotten my friend k!lled alongside myself when we went to probe what turned out to be a high-end EF4 that very nearly slabbed the east end of Hibbing. The sheer radius of it’s pull caught me completely off guard. We weren’t even NEAR the funnel when it ripped the tops off the grain silos east of town right next to us and I knew we were cooked (along with the nearby DOW) in our little GMC Yukon.
But we made BANK on those probes baby! Boom, dead center!
… emphasis on dead.
We really need some way to profit from photography.
Count me in as a intercepter 100%
3:00 “I’m a TIV boi”
Agreeded also currently I’m a probe dropper but I have intercepted a tornado in the starter truck-
Jokes on you MY NAMES TEED RIMMER AND I AM THE PROUD RIM ON THE DOM 3.
I always line my DOW infront of tornado path then it just drift passed me really close, does this count me as Dowinators?
I’m a doofinator but a survivor doofinator and here’s a tip for the other doofinators when you are intersecting a tornado turn on your parking brakes it’s basically easier
The vehicle switchers. It was Hibbing again? Bullhorn Prancer 140 MPH, then Discovery Support for the dirt road, and finally Scout for the 4 probe drop.
The every hatter. Switches between NWS, EMS, and Logging all on the same block while everyone else is out doing storm stuff.
The true civilian. Actually roleplays living a life and owning a home.
Here's the thing, I am the damage guy. Like, that's my primary fixation on tornadoes. And there's multiple kinds of people. There's the normies, the inexperienced, and the EF5!!!1 people. I usually don't mind most, sure it's annoying, but I hate it when inexperienced people try to claim that your wrong when you say the house with a few interior walls left is not an EF5(usually people trying to rate on contextuals brings out these people) Then there's... those guys. Those guys who will rate something as high as it will let them because "yeah trust me guys that had to be EF5 we didn't have any wind measurements at peak it had to be EF5 guys trust me" I remember some guy in particular who rated the entirety of Almora EF5 220 because of "trust me bro" and "if it's not realistic the game wouldn't let you" completely ignoring you used to be able to rate EF2 damage as EF4 with the old system. These guys are the worst, they usually have gigantic heads and get pissed if you dare question your rating, and they're the hardest to have discussions with. Although they're rare and most level headed people will not listen to them.
You forgot the new player who dies constantly. I am one of these people and the repair shop is my best friend if I could afford it
I'm weird bc I try to find a house in the path of a tornado and try to find places to survive in it
THATS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
You forgot the civilian NWS wannabes
True. Those guys are an absolute riot.
If I had a nickel for every time one of them screamed at me thinking I reported damage wrong because "IT WAS A PINK TVS THAT MEANS EF5!!!", I could probably buy a DOW in real life.
so true. radar has the ef rating, even though windspeeds are more helpful.
@@NorthStarBlue1😂 bro im like i cant even rate it past 165 its maybe an ef4
i am the guy to ram his tiv1 into a ongoing path of the widest tornado ever seen
I’m the guy that intentionally drives straight into the tornado regardless of what vehicle I have😂🤣
Being a probe dropper gets really hard when the tornado's movements get erratic, so I just stick to being the photographer in most cases.
i feel like being in a civilian car is more realistic because most people cant afford literal tanks to go into fast moving air in real life
Me the one who never can get money and me also in tornado risking my life placing probes:
(I also report damages and watch radar until tornado)
2:26 caught me so off guard. Might or might not have lost my shit laughing for 5 minutes.
I'm more of a multi-role, when I'm with a team
I’m definitely a reed timmer. I’m just like, “ROTATION”, “FUNNEL”, “RED TVS”, “WERE IN IT!’”
It’s all fun in games until you see tiv2 flying
Also I’m the interceptor
When you said the Reed Timmers i died of laughing because it is so relatable i will try to get in the middle of the tornado and my friend is scream DEPLOY WE WILL GET PICKED UP ITS A MULTI JUST DEPLOY IT DOESNT MATTER
I'm more of the intercepter and probe dropper. I only got Dominator 1 right now but whenever I deploy in the path of a tornado, I will get out and place a probe incase I miss the highest windspeed recorded by the mesonet.
The tornado gods must have their sacrifice and I must get my money from probes even if it means death.
I'm an interceptor when my friends allow me to drive their tiv2 2024 and a probe dropper when we just chilling
I love to absolutely scream at my friend when he doesnt drop the dom 3 when the tornado likes to spike up and down
One day this goofy ahh car came behind me when I was deploying my Tiv in front of a F5 and he got out in the middle of the tornado and tried getting in my car but he got sent to the tornado gods
Then there's me: *i still haven't figured out how to drop a probe*
Me, who just go to a house in a town and just stares the storm how it's forming and destroy things.
that’s so real
I’m either a reed timmer, interceptor, navigator, or if I’m feeling goofy I’m a doofinator
I’d call myself a thrill seeker I use the charger and intercept getting absolutely dismantled
I have been promoted from probe dropper/navigator (spawn car then ride In friend Tiv) to a DOWINATOR and let me tell you the scans are peak
I’m a probe dropper except I usually end up not getting my probes hit by the tornado or the tornado weakens by the time it hits my probes
I'm not exactly a "doofinator"
But I like being in the action regardless on how I get there.
I once manually walked toward the tornado just recording myself intercepting it on foot. It took me forever to get there, but I got there anyways.
To be honest, I’d say im more than one stereotype. Sometimes when I play twisted, I would either be a probe dropper, damage reporter, or EMS.
I’m more of the DOW user honestly. I first started off as the interceptor, and once I got enough money, bought my DOW and never gone back.
“Out of your friends which are you?”
I play on the EMS team, most of the time I just spawn my pickup truck drive around and chop fallen trees for some cash, if a tornado drops near me I get in my dom 2 and get some quick intercept cash, once it's gone I get more trees money and maybe some rescues. I'm everything lmao.
I’m one of the TIV 2 guys, I drive the 2009 TIV 2 and it looks great, but when I’m not on with someone I don’t usually start yelling that a tornado has touched down, if there is someone playing though I’ll only call it out a few times but that’s it really
I gotta react to this on my main, I'll tag you up when I do
You forgot the person who doesn't gave a good enough system to even play
for me im mainly a mix of the navigator, radar watcher and photographer but I do type in the chat kinda like the rp example cause I mainly wanna let people know on where to go
How to I play on a low end device?
