this fucking piece of shit is taking days for me to obtain, I got all the others in pretty much 1 day after I defeated the brain of catulu, but I can't find any aglet, have been fishing for long times but it never comes, the worst part is that I know I had it when I started the world and opened the very first chests and wooden crates but threw it in the trash
There is less annoying way to get the lava charm: 1. Fish a Obsidian Crate or Hellstone crate. 2. Save and quit the world. 3. Enter your world again. 4. Open the crate, see if it gives you the lava charm if not go to step 5. 5. Force quit your game. (For example, with alt + f4, this way the game will not save) 6. Reenter the game and open the crate again. 7. Repeat this until you get the lava charm. By the way, this can be still annoying because of 2.5% chance, but it is the fastest method i think. And you can do this to obtain other low chance stuff. Edit: I forgot to mention. Great video
Orxan, theres an even faster way to do so, you don't exactly need to alt + f4 to force-close the game, there is an option which allows autosave; disable it and then leave your world and rejoin it if your loot hasn't been the lava charm,
Wow, I don't know why I didn't think of that myself... Me and my friends experienced the whole cloudsave bug that would delete all your progress whenever you cloud saved a world in multiplayer, so we discovered that if a world doesn't save, like with Alt+f4, or disabling autosaving, you can get a different set of hardmode ores. I guess I never put two and two together to realize, "Hey, I can do this with crates and other RNG stuff too!" would have saved me hours of lava fishing for only a single charm as the reward if I knew I could just get one or two crates and do this trick with them... big oof.
Personally they remind me of cartoony boots that a character would have that made them bouncy , though when you say it like this and I think about it, they do

10:00 the lootpool doesn't affect the chance of getting a crate. The game has a 10% chance of generating a crate, and then runs chances for the quality of the crate - but in lava, there's only one crate, so it's just a flat 10%. If you use a crate potion this goes up to 20%. A higher fishing power will also significantly speed up how quick you get catches - it can take a while to get a catch in lava fishing.
I think they are pretty rare compared to the other ingredients, I only got one pair of them so far, and I got like multiple 4 or more pairs of Hermes Boots

In my mastermode world. I've probably spent a total of 3 days doing nothing but fishing in the Jungle Biome for the anklet. And yes I did get it eventually.

Actually the lava charm is by far the hardest thing to get cuz I had to look for 2 hrs to get one in the chests in the lava level , but now I have crafted the terraspark boots and it was worth the time and hard work it took 😀 btw superb content with a soothing voice can't ask for anything more from a video ❤️🔥
by far one of the best guides for crafting the boots, amazing video and channel! and a tip for people having trouble with the lava charm: it takes time, lots of it... make sure to make a handful of sonar, fishing and crate potions, they will help you greatly

Here’s a tip, if your playing in 1.4.4, you can get a magma stone, throw it into shimmer, and you’ll get back a lava charm. You can get magma stones from lavabats and hellbats. Although it’s a very small chance, it’s easier than looking for chests/ fishing for the angler and in lava
Just remember that Red thought these boots would be OP, even though they aren't of much help to the player in hardmode. All it does is make yoir boots more expensive to reforge, while easy to obtain potions like water walking and obsidian skin make the boots obsolete.
a great way to farm for the obsidian flower is take a imp statue, wire, a 1/4 timer. Wire up the statue to the statue and stand there with a high damage auto swing sword (i used muramasa) and keep doing that until you get the obsidian flower

I had so much trouble getting that stupid lava charm, but the final result is definitely worth it. And I wasted so much time getting the anklet of the wind when I already had one x(
Finally got the lava charm last step is water walking boots and I can finally craft the final boot. After countless fishing quests and getting the entire tackle set and angler suit and getting all of the components for the cell phone, and the golden bug catcher. I decided to just catch hell butterflys and caught enough crates for the hell hook and used the rest of my bait to finally pull the lava charm. I resorted to this route because I spent 60 hours making new worlds and searching chests for the lava charm. I was on a roll with those quests and snowballed my way to the final boot needed and managed to complete the cell phone and tackle set along with the angler outfit. I'm glad I decided to just try and fish for the golden fishing rod. It really paid off.
If you want the lava charm: Do the Fishers tasks, sometimes he gives potions which boost Fishing Power by ALOT! Also he gives you bait which, when combined with the potion, gave me like 15 HellStone Crates in like 5 minutes!!! If you don’t want to, that’s fine. I didn’t want to either but it was a last resort for me!

I've only started playing this game recently and just completed this and the shellphone (game is still excellent and immersive after so long!) Just surprised how few people have done the angler's quests - based on achievements - since he can reward you with some of the most essential items, and fishing for jungle crates turned out to be the only sure way I could finish this item. The shellphone obviously requires items related to the angler, but sometimes it's better to just try your luck with fishing crates than delving for buried treasures.
BTW the Aglet + Anklet of the Wind together would give you a 15% speed increase, however, combining them in the Lightning Boots halves that (rounded to 8% from 7.5%).

Started a new play through last week and I couldn’t believe it when I found a lava charm, then another a couple days later. I remembered it being stupid hard to get, but it turns out they have no doubled their spawn rate in the time since this video. In your play through there will always be something that stays elusive. For me, I had to explore 3/4th of the underground jungle to find the anklet of the wind.
I was watching this video just for fun but today I wanted to finally make the Terraspark boots and the last item I needed was a Obsidian Rose and I was prepared to grind for 45 minutes just to get it Bc it only has a 2% chance of dropping but I got it on the first one I killed I was so happy

Amazing video as always, keep up the great work! I thought I should say that in the current version, lava waders now require an obsidian rose to craft as well (dropped from fire imps at a 2% chance).
Found an interesting mod that adds to the Terraspark Boots. It isn't that overpowered when you take into account what you need to get for it and likely your character will already be op as all hell when you can make this upgrade. The mod is Ethereal Boots and it adds a recipe for, well, Ethereal Boots. Recipe is Terraspark Boots, Soaring Insignia and a Lucky Horseshoe at a Tinkerer's Workbench. Basically Terraspark Boots combined with wings. Just adds infinite flight and no fall damage.
9:30 The Hotline Fishing Rod and the Lavaproof Fishing Hook/Lavaproof Tackle Bag actually have a stacked effect while doing lava fishing which increases your catch rate by 33.3% (Does not work with lava bag & lava hook) and the crates are not more common while lava fishing because crate chance is independant of the fishing item pool and is always 10% so long as you have the minimum fishing power threshold for it.
*TIP: IF YOU HAVE A SPARE "MAGMA STONE" YOU CAN THROW IT IN THE SHIMMER WICH WILL TURN IT INTO A "LAVA CHARM"!* *this proces can also be reversed by doing the same thing*
For 1.4.4 friends, get a magma stone from lava bats (use hardmode underworld bats for better chance) and get a magma stone. Then throw it into shimmer and get your lava charm :3

yeah, you can do this to the tinkerer, and all RNG related items, like boss drops.

Yup. These boots are a noob trap. As soon as I crafted one I realized I would rather use a different item for that accessory slot.
The only reason i made the terra spark boots was just to save acessory slots, otherwise your better off with the lighting boots and potions

useful tip for lava charms: you can shimmer a magma stone for a lava charm.

U need an obsidian rose to craft the lava boots
Found an interesting mod that adds to the Terraspark Boots. It isn't that overpowered when you take into account what you need to get for it and likely your character will already be op as all hell when you can make this upgrade. The mod is Ethereal Boots and it adds a recipe for, well, Ethereal Boots. Recipe is Terraspark Boots, Soaring Insignia and a Lucky Horseshoe at a Tinkerer's Workbench. Basically Terraspark Boots combined with wings. Just adds infinite flight and no fall damage.

The Hotline Fishing Rod and the Lavaproof Fishing Hook/Lavaproof Tackle Bag actually have a stacked effect while doing lava fishing which increases your catch rate by 33.3% (Does not work with lava bag & lava hook) and the crates are not more common while lava fishing because crate chance is independant of the fishing item pool and is always 10% so long as you have the minimum fishing power threshold for it.
*TIP: IF YOU HAVE A SPARE "MAGMA STONE" YOU CAN THROW IT IN THE SHIMMER WICH WILL TURN IT INTO A "LAVA CHARM"!*
*this proces can also be reversed by doing the same thing*

For 1.4.4 friends, get a magma stone from lava bats (use hardmode underworld bats for better chance) and get a magma stone. Then throw it into shimmer and get your lava charm :3
