@@user_kH9bw3ns1 I'll admit my age might not be the most relevant part, but it's a factor that's been used on me for my troubles. "You're an adult, and you should know better."
@@JCAznDude It is unfortunate when people bring up age, especially when you are struggling with something that is timeless. Being a 'certain age' and 'in a certain place' in life, those things are factors by which people compare others. I imagine it's part of why you consider yourself a "f*** up." I believe there is a force that draws us to wickedness, and I believe one of the ways it operates is by having us beat ourselves up unnecessarily until we make decisions we know are not good for us. We may not be able to change the past, but a small, tiny, tiny part of the present moment is within our control. There may be an onslaught of negative thoughts passing through our mind, but sometimes letting those thoughts pass by --not clinging to them-- is the way. Some thoughts are helpful, but we dont have to linger on everything we think. For now, saying "i am a f up" is the f-d up part. You may feel you made certain regrettable decisions, but those were in the past. The choice of the present moment is the most important choice we will make throughout time. Also, know that the world is full of traps designed to get caught in, so I hope you dont beat yourself up too much for falling into traps some people set. We cant know all traps at all times. I was thinking of this because i know you were frustrated by people who called the cops on you when you weren't trying to do bad. That sounded very unfortunate and infuriating. --best wishes
James, I just want to let you know that I see you and hear you. I can see your humanity in your face and in your words. It is true that many millions of people around the world go through deeply troubling experiences, and struggle with depression, frustration, loneliness, remorse, confusion, and a desire for understanding, compassion, and help. I don’t have the answer, myself, but I understand depression. Just want you to know that throughout my life, there have been times where I believed deep in my soul that life wasn’t worth living any more, but each time I held on and treated myself with compassion, it eventually got better enough-just enough-to realize that life, as cliched as it may sound, does have ups and downs..and ups again. Please know that I will be holding space for your in my thoughts for tonight, and that I wish you the very best.
@beekneed I truly thought I would be speaking to a void when I posted this video. I'm honored there are those like you who would give me the time and day to write your feelings and thoughts about my experiences. It's that honesty and raw human empathy that I'm always looking for.
Bro you are heard, you are seen, you are understood. God bless you, you will and definitely can get through this. You dont have to have the right answers to everything, just moving forward is enough. The past is the past, it does not exist anymore. Learn from it, it will only haunt you as much as you let it
