I found your page a few minutes ago and I am crying. I haven't had a definite diagnosis yet but have been told by a couple doctors that it might be crohn's. And it's not just that i have to deal with the GI symptoms but, it's a a LOT on my mind aswell because, i dont know, sometimes i feel like im making it up, like how can a person feel sick this frequently? And I look fine, haven't lost weight and stuff. But, only i know the struggle of thinking about going to class and having to sit for hours, only i know how i feel about not having to go to the seminar i was so excited to attend because it is for more than 2 hours. It's been a hard year and im sorry you are going through similar stuff but, idk, listening to you made me feel...sane. Thank you.
Mela thanks for sharing! Trust me, I understand more than you know. It's why we refer to IBD as an invisible illness. People can't always tell what we are going through by looking at us on the outside. I'm glad I could help in some small way. I know you haven't been diagnosed but I hope you find relief soon. Better days are ahead 💟
I've had colitis for over a year I get sick every few weeks it's kinda getting better but I have had a lot of depression because of it scared to go very far from home
Hi I'm on week 5 of humira Tommorow. I've had a flare up yesterday. Does that mean humira isn't working for me I appreciate ur not a doctor. What week did it work for u. I've read it can take between 2 and 12 weeks. Does that mean still a chance I can see results as on week 5. Many thanks look fwd to ur reply.
I would definitely recommend having a chat with the doctor if possible. They will typically have you continue for a few months before making any changes. In my case, it began working within a month I believe. It can take much longer for some people though.
