i like the chemistry these guys have, the fact that they can have fun, and create great music at the same time is really inspiring to me. and he sounds the exact same as their studio recorded songs. great song!
I hope they don't change or conform to music nowadays because I've heard Believe and I like it, but its not THIS. This has so much emotion and a certain rawness to it that you cannot establish if they stick with the new "genre," I guess. Their songs are the most amazing I couldn't stand it if they change from their folkness.
Really there's only so much you can do with their distinct folky formula. Eventually it would've started to get repetitive if they kept going with it. I highly prefer this over the electric but it has some great tracks and Johannesburg was much better than Wilder Mind. Luckily with some of the new tracks like Blind Leading the Blind I'd say we're in for something in between the banjo and electric which will be nice. It of course won't be folky though.
I looked down at the comments for 2 seconds, and when I looked back up Ted was grinning from ear to ear and bobbing his head like a chicken. Love these guys, and their music. Keep it up boys!
Honestly, this gives me chills watching them all work together and listening to sounds it creates. It's unbelievable what these 4 are capable of. I swore on the album it was almost an entire orchestra making this music. Clearly it wasn't.
i have listened to a lot of music in my life, i enjoy everything seriously. my cd collection has air supply-slayer-kenny rogers-def leoppard-neil diamond-the beatles-grand funk railroad-eminem-there's not much i dont listen too. but these guys are so original, it took a long time for a group like this to come around. damn am i glad they did.
i am ecstatic they are coming to little Dixon, Illinois in August .... They are gonna be playing by the river .... about 300 yards from my house ...... FRICKIN AWESOME !!
It is always so wonderful to hear a live performance that sounds exactly like the recording. Now a days it is getting harder and harder to find artists with real talent (look at some other people's live performaces...)
Weep for yourself, my man, You'll never be what is in your heart Weep little lion man, You're not as brave as you were at the start Rate yourself and rake yourself, Take all the courage you have left Wasted on fixing all the problems that you made in your own head But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really fucked it up this time Didn't I, my dear? Didn't I, my dear? Tremble for yourself, my man, You know that you have seen this all before Tremble little lion man, You'll never settle any of your scores Your grace is wasted in your face, Your boldness stands alone among the wreck Now learn from your mother or else spend your days biting your own neck But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really fucked it up this time Didn't I, my dear? But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really fucked it up this time Didn't I, my dear? Didn't I, my dear? But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really fucked it up this time Didn't I, my dear? Didn't I, my dear?
@EliteProdigy14 The tuning for this song is an open tuning. If I'm not mistaken it's Open C tuning, but the low string still tuned to E. and then capo on 5th fret.
That is intense strumming
That's the mark of a good band, and not someone completely reliant on studio gimmicks to cut a decent sound. Rock on, boys!
Mumford doesn't look much older than any of his sons
They are all friends, not father and son!
bloshicana I think edward ruxpin was playing off the fact that the band name is Mumford AND SONS......
Tro Fi I know, its ok :)
Underappreciated comment
It's so refreshing to see a group so totally in sync with each other. Absolutely beautiful music making.
This song never gets old. It hits a little close to home for me. None the less I like it.
Don't play the accordion, they said. Everyone will laugh at you, they said.
So much heart & soul every time they perform. Not not seen a half-assed performance from them yet. So good!
i like the chemistry these guys have, the fact that they can have fun, and create great music at the same time is really inspiring to me.
and he sounds the exact same as their studio recorded songs.

Marcus has the best voice ever
This band has great vocals and can all jam on their instruments together while they harmonize. This is true musical talent

Parker Blackwood well. bummer.

I swear, everytime I see this band perform, they get better and better. Marcus' facial expressions in this video alone, gave me goosebumps
when they sing together, towards the end of the song, singing, "ahhh, ahhhhh, ahhh" that part, makes me weep every time i hear that.
you can see the love for music when he plays his guitar!
I just love his voice it's so different!
I looked down at the comments for 2 seconds, and when I looked back up Ted was grinning from ear to ear and bobbing his head like a chicken. Love these guys, and their music. Keep it up boys!

I looked this up cause of Tonight Alive's cover on Punk goes Pop. It's great!

Ha, I have the same nose as the singer! Great Band! Watched them at Bonnaroo last year, that was awesome!
The only word to describe that performance was WOW.
Literally in love.
It is always so wonderful to hear a live performance that sounds exactly like the recording. Now a days it is getting harder and harder to find artists with real talent (look at some other people's live performaces...)

Weep for yourself, my man,
You'll never be what is in your heart
Weep little lion man,
You're not as brave as you were at the start
Rate yourself and rake yourself,
Take all the courage you have left
Wasted on fixing all the problems that you made in your own head
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Didn't I, my dear?
Tremble for yourself, my man,
You know that you have seen this all before
Tremble little lion man,
You'll never settle any of your scores
Your grace is wasted in your face,
Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
Now learn from your mother or else spend your days biting your own neck
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Didn't I, my dear?
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Didn't I, my dear?
