I like how they can all harmonize and play multiple instruments very very well. I think they're pretty much perfect in every way, can we all just agree?
this band, everything about it, Marcus, Winston, Ben and Ted, all of them, share such an amazing gift given to them by god. Some people never put those gifts to good use, some people never even discover them, but these boys all found some thing that they were all equally amazing at and create songs that move more than just me to tears. Thank you Mumford and Sons, you are the real artists in the music industry these days.
SO glad that I finally got to hear Winston's voice, really clearly. I always wondered what he sounded like. It's simply beautiful... just like the rest of him:) They're amazing, and they deserve all the incredible awards and recognition that they have gotten/are getting/will soon get. Keep it up, guys!
M&S saved my life, no joke- I was lost and they shook me out of my funk with this song, in particular- I am so thankful for these men and their gift of music
they all play instruments, have good voices, and are super handsome. plus they seem like nice humble guys who love what they do. what more could you want in a band?!
Can't believe Im hearing this song again. I've only heard it once before in a live session on a radio station in Columbus OH. I honestly believe they channeled my brother when writing this song. Amazing. Thank you for posting.
these guys are a wave of fresh, talented and passionate musicians. Its about time that the stagnant buildup of corporate, autotuned musicians be wiped away letting room in for "real" music. I cant wait for the second record
wtf.. where have I been living all these years? under a friggin' rock? They are awesome... I like replayed this and little lion man for 50 times now...
I agree! I've never picked out his voice before and I love it. It's easier to hear Ted because he's low and Ben even more so because it's high, so Win definitely blends in more. I think it's nice you hear him more in this particular songs too since he wrote it. I can't wait to hear the new stuff!
You have no idea what this songs means to me, I was the sister, my brother would listen to this. I was a heroin addict. I remember listening to trampled by turtles “you wait so long” and now I know he was listening to this. It was a hard time for all of us.
YESSSSSSSS. I can finally hear Winnie really clearly! Everyone else's voice is easy to pick out. Marcus is the lead singer, so of course I know what e sounds like, Ben has the highest voice, and Ted has the lowest, but Winnie's just usually blends in. I'm so glad I heard it. He needs to make his voice heard more because it's sexy :)
You're right, normally it's Ted that sings the bass line, but in this particular one, Winston take it, even if it's a bit unusual to him. It's nice to hear him clearly one in a while, his voice normally melts with Marcus'. In the new album, Winston sings a couple of songs lower, which is nice because he supports Ted's voice and give us a chance to hear him more.
easily their best song.

Why can't they release these oldies to iTunes? The unreleased ones tend to be some of the best.

Mumford & Sons are the only band where I hear a song for the first time and instantly fall in love with it. Simply beautiful.
Still listen to this song almost every day
This should be released.
would rather listen to this song over and over than sleep
It's bands like these that keep British culture alive, I'm proud.

May I ask, what was it like?
Wow I can't believe I'm just finding this song in 2019. This is a gem.

I can't stop listening to them. It's like a disease, one for which I'm glad there is no cure.
This has got to be one of the best recordings of this song. Genius!

Ben has such a beautiful voice...it would be amazing for him (and the others too) to sing lead on a song or two on their new album!!

This was actually on one of the ep's a long time ago, before sigh no more.
God damn Winston
I died and went to music heaven.
I gotta give it up to winston...one of my favorite songs of theirs. but of all of them my favorite is Ted. by far
they're awkward, but they are real and raw and smart. they transform from dirty weird guys into pure lyrical/musical geniuses.
I'm pretty sure those EPs aren't being made anymore, so I think you may have to download it
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
We are seeing more bands like this recently, the bluegrass setup with more "Rock" style, know what I mean?
