This is actually inaccurate relating to the time line. During the Diamond Casino heists, Lester actually mentions the Jewelry heist we do in Story mode, meaning that Online comes after Story mode. Also, I vividly remember a scene in which chop had too many edibles, and based off that, Franklin is clearly doing business, or owns one, which he didnt in story mode

Michael was never in witness protection. it was just between him and dave. other agencies or government bodies do not know anything. Brad wasn't supposed to be the dead one it was supposedly Trevor. Dave was credited for killing "Michael Townley" and he leaves Michael alone to start a new life until Michael returns to the game and Dave steps in.

A and B are both dumb endings, Trevor is a good guy who was turned bad because of michael betraying him, and if you kill Michael you have no heart and things were getting better with him and his family, and had lots of things to lose. Ending C made sense, killing all of the major antagonists in the game

14:00 Michael was never in witness protection, he betrayed Trevor to split the money with the corrupt cop, and Brad was meant to go to jail and Trevor was supposed to be dead, the FIB agent gets all the praise and also Michael has been paying him 10k a month (all this can be deducted from Michael convo with Lester), as he uses “witness protection” only as an excuse for why he was missing all those years after his funeral.

Here's what the protagonists have been up to since the end of their main GTA stories:
Niko - Living a normal life as a taxi driver for Bellic cab co.
Johnny - Killed by Trevor alongside lots of his friends
Luis - Likely doing well enough. Nothing concrete here despite Tony coming back in online, but the fact he's seen on a magazine cover means he could have gone from celebrity security to a celebrity himself.
Huang - Likely leading the Triads. No real evidence as to what he's doing because Chinatown is pretty far away from 5.
Trevor - Now a life-coach guru who Ron claims has gone "All vinewood." I love how the most insane psycho of the franchise ended up becoming a calm man who gives others advice in life as the events of his story gave him no reason to continue being so unhappy. And angry, especially angry.
Michael (Updated) - A movie producer now. Appears to be working with the government alongside Lester in the doomsday heist and his son appears as an employee in the arcade update and implies his family life has been good.
Franklin (Updated) - Opened up a talent agency with our online protagonist and has been making big $. Even though he accepted Tanisha didn’t want him at the the end of GTA 5 he’s got a daughter with her now and is still getting dragged into the criminal life, specifically shootouts over weed, with Lamar.
Online Protagonist - Whatever you did last time you played online. Likely something involving cash and death.

@@headtopprotector7521 In GTA online, Ron Jakowski will tell the player that he is no longer running with Trevor because he has gone all vinewood and is now a life coach, who may even have abs. Not sure why Trevor having abs bothers him...
This cutscene happens as soon as you purchase a hangar and enter it. That's why Ron is running with our online protagonist now.
It is unknown where Wade is.

1:11 - actually that was Bulgarin version of the story. Niko says he never sabotaged his ship or stole his money. He says the police caught him a mile from the coast and sunk his ship so he simply had no other choice but to abandon its cargo and swim for his life to get to safety. Bulgarin just needed someone to blame for to have his money back and decided to take it on Niko.
Johnny’s death was definitely the lamest death in the entire series. Such a wasted potential smh.

GTA IV made me appreciate the series in a different light, it made me care for the story and characters in a way that I actually ended up having some sentimental attachment to. I liked having the option to getting to know the characters casually when you decide to hang out with them, with dialogues revealing more about their character. Kate for instance, knowing the full story was actually heartbreaking and her dying was tremendously sad
Extra thing: In a dialogue between Niko and Kate, he actually brings up at some point that Roman has no idea how his mother actually died and it isn't spoken between him and his mother

@Gage King nah man, he never was in witness protection, Brad died instead of Trevor so no one was in jail, and his deal with Dave is not known by the FIB, it was between him and Dave only (until Steve figures it out)

I cried of joy in GTA V final mission, taking out baddies for my boys and the fact they stay buddy’s is just really nice.
Besides, Ending C is the only ending that goes with the vibe of the rest of the game. If the tone were darker the two other endings would've been perfect.

I LOVE how you connected lesters comment of the eastern guy and the local unpredictable guy as Niko and our GTA online character lol.
It's still debatable wether Michael was in witness protection. It seems that he actually set up having Trevor and Brad go down with Dave Norton back in North Yankton. He was in contact with Dave before the bank robbery since he knew there were supposed to be no casualties. Also, Trevor was probably supposed to get shot instead of Brad too by the way Dave was aiming.

Great video, however I think you got the later portion of GTA Online and GTA V story mode out of order.
The earlier GTA Online content was before GTA V's story, however the more recent stuff takes place when the update drops. It's obvious baised on the map changes, the vehicles, and the date mentions. I feel like the updates start taking place after Story Mode when they stopped updating GTA Online on old gen as well as adding new vehicles and weapons to SP. That is when vehicles started appearing in GTA Online that are baised on cars newer than 2013, and when they started changing the LS map, like opening Benny's and the Diamond Casino & Resort.
Niko didn't steal Bulgarin's money, or sink his ship, it was actually an accident, and his money was lost forever.

How some pieces of diamonds entangled the lives of the 3 GTA IV protagonists is just amazing. That Diamonds Storyline is just well-written, the best in Rockstar history in my opinion.

@Young Amz15 there's actually a mod for CTW that makes it so the camera is in third person and not in bird's eye view. Everything is 3d except for you and the NPC's which is 2d

Some parts of IV looked pretty dull. Also the cars control horribly. It’s still a pretty good game but I don’t think it deserves to be praised as much as it has been. The story is really good though.

By now we know that gta online takes place after the “death wish” ending of gta 5 due to the gta online casino heist dlc that came out recently. Where lester says that he has already robbed the union depository.
Camcustoms 7, maybe or during the storyline of single player.
Adan Walton I thought about it again and it makes more sense if it takes place before ,during and after gta 5 story mode.
Because in the original heists lester talks about his plans to rob the union depository
And then before the Trevor missions in gta online lester tells you he just started working with them again.
The doomsday dlc takes place just after they robbed the union depository. Because lester says he just became rich.
Every heist dlcs after that take place after the “death wish” ending of gta 5 story mode
In the timeline the casino heist is the most recent event.
It cant be, in death wish you kill cheng and when you buy a penthouse you see cheng drunk

Fun Fact, in Revenge Ending it seems that both final mission happened at the same time, while the Deal Ending TBoGT efinal mission was likely 1 day after IV Final Mission, why ? because you can see after complete both Final Missions, the News page will be update with the same events, the homeless finding the diamonds and the death of Jon Gravelli

I like how all the different GTA games both from 3D and HD universe stories somehow end up leading to the events of later GTA games.

Everything after Gunrunning is after storymode, Gunrunning takes place in 2017 and that’s when GTA Online began taking place in modern day.

Actually online was after the story mode and the biggest witness is lester where the first mission where you meet at the park lester says he has more money than he can ever spend and (he pulled the union depasetory bank and fbi and iaa)and if you finished the story mod you will notice that those are the same scores Micheal and Trevor and franklin took together so :)

I've honestly never released just how much effort Rockstar put in Gta 4's single player story and its dlc's. Wish they would've done the same with Gta 5.

If Michael did set up that deal with the fib the moment they would of left the bank they would of been surrounded by fib agents not one sniper and Michael wanted Trevor dead and Brad alive and he didnt attend his own funeral because he would of been noticed and why would they put him in a multi million mansion and he’s killed dozens of people and robbed multiple banks why would the fib let him of the hook

At the end of the heist, everyone gets their cut, including your online character, which you can access on gta online. This feature would be really cool, especially if you need some quick money for your online character

Dude, Trevor snipped a helicopter and took down a plane all by himself... he also killed an entire gang, sank a Marrywheather ship (if you chose that score) and built the biggest drug empire in Blaine County in just a couple of months

Micheal has to be the most basic character of the hd universe.
If you think about it, the entire plot of gta 5 has the tennis coach’s fault. Because he’s the one who slept with Michael wife which made Michael tear down his balcony which is owned by Martin Madrazo who forces michael to rob a jewelry store to pay for the damages which attracts the attention of atrevor, and then everything went down hill from there.

Well the GTA Online now is set to be even further timeline to GTA V. Not sure started by which DLC, but I think it started by the Casino Heist DLC or during the Casino DLC since Lester said that he had done it all including robbing the Union State Depository and retired toward the player and Georgina Cheng, and the heist coming toward the Diamond Casino had Vincent who had newly fired during the end of the Casino DLC, involved in the setup. The same dlc also served as proof of the timeline had progressed further than GTA V since Jimmy had started to work in the player's arcade shop. So, it used to be set-up before GTA V, but it had also progressed further via dlc.
