- John Robins wasn't fooling Elis James on Taskmaster, he knows him too well. He explains why watching John, one of the world's most competitive men, on the TV show was so hysterical.

What competitive John Robins was really thinking on Taskmaster | Elis James & John Robins
We are BBC Sounds. The home of binge-worthy podcasts, music curated by music lovers and live radio.
I have to say, as someone who doesn't know John, his need to win was pretty transparent and very entertaining.
I wonder what band John likes?
@@stevencgr Right? He's so secretive!
I'd seen John on RHLSTP with Richard Herring and a couple of panel shows. That was enough to know he'd be the one who wanted to win before the show started. It was very clear and I think that's what made him entertaining. A whole group of wannabe winners might be boring but having one in the mix works well.
@@Elwaves2925 Oh, I haven't heard his RHLSTP episode-I'll go look that up!
@@FloraWest I was going to tell you the podcast number until I realised he's done over half a dozen. His first one was back at number 93 from 2015 and Podchaser (if you don't know of it) will tell you the others.
ooh, a past-winners competition with Robins V Gamble! (hahaha) "Let the blood flow!" 😄
Robins by a landslide. We all thought Gamble was the biggest Taskmaster nerd (well, except Richard Herring who thought it was himself), but it turns out that John Robins is the biggest Taskmaster nerd to ever be on the show.
@@StarkRG Yeah, I'd put the Taskmaster nerd trinity as Robbins, Gamble, and Acaster.
I really feel that 'win win win, be nice, win win win' voice. It's horrible.
Elis did do a disservice to Sophie there. She wasn’t clueless, she was given an impossible question.
The "I want listen rubbish" sign behind John really bugs me. Very distracting.
Yma o hyd ❤
