Yeah this is one brilliant song, I don't think I've ever seen a reaction for it so I thought it deserved one!!!! @@hurm1t974 What I really hate about people saying that about the lyrics is that Mike said 'Sometimes' he does that and so many people are overlooking great lyrics because people keep repeating that the lyrics don't matter, take songs like ' None Of them Knew They Were Robots' Trey wrote those lyrics and they are incredible, Mike wrote the lyrics to'the Real Thing' and they are incredible
It's fun to see Mike patton messing with the bass player (Trevor) so badly. He was definitely prone to torturing him on stage back then (all in good, playful fun of course lol)

Brilliant reaction!! :)) What to say: mind blowing! :D Interestingly, this album ( the first one) is all in these funky - ska - circus - funny rhythms, so its no wonder you dig it a lot. :)) Yet - it was the early 90`s... ;) Real "bouncing off the walls" comes with their 2nd album, now - that`s a bat-shit craziness you are about to hear! :)) Still, glad you liked this song. ;) Hey, Roxy`s right: the lyrics are really important, they`re strange and powerful... Here, for example, Patton uses a metaphor of an old philosophical question - which is older: a chicken or an egg? - to define the strange pseudo-incest issue of growing up and standing on your own, a matter of self-independence and self-respect in relation to the past, family, mother`s figure, etc ... But, the song is so paradoxically twisted from the perspective of such an individual who`s trying (not) to achieve all of it, mostly because of the lack of awareness of what is really going on in his plan of (sexual) emancipation... (="boiling hard in euphemism, slowly becoming part of the water, like a frog who never knows the Jacuzzi`s getting hotter...!").. In essence - a dramatically emphasized teenage manish-thing... :)) Other than this - what about that elevator-jazz at the end of the live version ?! :)) Or fake blues at the end of the studio version..? :D Even then, they were musically well educated and still - artistically goofing "for all the money..." :)) Oh, an finally, an explanation of that long skit at the end of studio version ; you won`t believe that sh.t; in high-school, Mike and Trev (Trevor Dunn, the bassist) used to jump on the roofs of trains passing through their hometown of Eureka, driving there like crazy:)) :))... until they ended up in one of the following cities... :))) That skit was an old audio recording of one of those rides! :))) Cheers! :)
Loving these patton reactions! Loving that we can add another weirdo like us into the bungle family! (I say weirdo with the utmost affection lol).. Its not anyone who can appreciate what Mr. bungle has created. And I love that you're doing these reactions with a live version bundled in. That is a great way to go about it. Keep up the great work! On a side note, I've always been a big iron maiden fan and I haven't yet watched your reactions to them but I am looking forward to running that cycle with you as well. Cheers!

I forgot to mention about the train hopping part hahaha and they used to hitchhike home from wherever they ended up 😅
