See, Kenny's got it! He knows how great Steve Perry is "of all time." You can't beat that endorsement. But I already knew that! Love to the both of them.
I love this . Hearing other great singers talk about how amazing Steve Perry beautiful voice is. Steve takes singing to another level. Being appreciated by your peers is out of this world. Kenny is an outstanding guy in his own right.🌹🌹
I remember it a little differently, I recall they were having a hard time coming up with lyrics and a melody, finally they both were frustrated threw down the pen and paper and Kenny said don't fight it, and the light went off in Steve Perry's head and that's how the song was formed, they had hit a wall all day long until Kenny said those 3 words... And that's how the song was born. 🤗
Steve Perry is one of the best for sure

Great song and a great album, On High Adventure.
Legend!
Where's this whole interview? I've loved this song for decades. So cool to see/hear the due who helped write it!
Thanks!
One of my absolute favorite songs
Steve Perry shares the same birthday 🎂 as the late Sam Cooke. 😃😃
No freaking way OMG!
Love this brief story! Thanks.
been listening to "don't fight it" for days. so cool to find this video
I prefer Greg Rollie over Steve Perry anyday . But Steve is good
The two of them are great at harmonizing on their recording.....they were a go to duo in the band Journey
