Dealing with lack of air pressure issues with my 2013 vnl D13. Noticed symptoms- purging constantly, then drier made chirping sound when purging, then compressor stopped cycling. Truck will hold 60psi at idle and 90 at 65mph. Changed govener. Compressor still will not cycle but it will hold 110-130 ( no compressor, no purge).
It should purge every time after the initial purge only if there is air consumption, stepping on brakes ect. If it purges while sitting still you have an air leak in the line going from the governor to the air compressor or the governor to the pressure air tank, or a failed air compressor valve. Check the 2 lines on the governor first.

my air ccompressor oil line blew up twice in 700 miles,2008 d12,its in the shop waiting to see whats going on

Wow you must have mad $$$. Dont throw parts at it.. make sure and change part one time and done
