      @@morethanfarmers Hope you didn't give or don't give your children the thing that gets put in the arm. All of them. From cradle to grave. The minute you put one of those things in their arm you are destroying their gut flora forever. Not meant mean. I'm trying to encourage people to do research. The book Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know will explain so so much. That book saved my life!!!!

    I think it's great that you are teaching your children where their food comes from and good work effort. Most kids don't know about these things. They just know computers and cell phones. Not saying that's a bad thing either. Just your children will know how to take care of themselves.

      Love how you included technology, my kiddos know both as well. They’re still very small and sometimes they help in the garden and other times they choose the iPad while I get chores done. I never want to MAKE them work alongside me because it could backfire so easily. I like that these two have the chore money incentive as well. Way more realistic ❤

    Every time I watch one of your videos I immediately have the urge to search for land. I know you don’t take what you have for granted but I just wanted to encourage you that even on hard hard days your little slice of land truly is paradise. With five kids in an apartment, we are so anxious to get them “out on pasture.” But we know it’s all in the Lord’s timing.

    Veterinary Technician. I don’t know much about Sundays dog food BUT… I would never recommend a grain free dog food to a client. The problem with grain free is this usually means they replace the grain with legumes. This has been shown to block the absorption of taurine. Taurine is an essential nutrient in a dog’s diet. Lack of taurine can lead to heart failure, even in young dogs. Please do your research on grain free diets in dogs before choosing to feed grain free food!!! With that said I love your channel, just want to make sure all those animals stay happy and healthy❤

      I can attest to this. For many, many, many years I fed grain free dog food to my chihuahuas. We were told for the longest time that grain free was healthier. Well, four years ago I lost my 9 year old chihuahua who was otherwise healthy to congestive heart failure. It was completely unexpected. I’ll never again feed any dog a grain free diet.

    Love you guys.... On the tortilla conversation- I'm from Austin, Tx and just wanted to mention that the most common method and most traditional way to make flour tortillas is using shortening or lard, traditionally from Mexico. (though some cultures would disagree with the origin of "tortillas") Most Texans and Mexican Americans don't think twice about buying tortillas with shortening or lard. I totally get that is on trend to use other sources of fat and even gluten free tortillas and if that's what you want to do then great. You have to make the choice that is best for your family but I wanted to explain why most Texans and Mexican American's and well beyond, choose tortilla's or make tortillas using shortening or lard. Lard or shortening gives the flour tortilla the lightest texture and best flavor. Every culture has their own version of a flour flat bread and most of the time the fat used depended upon those cultures, either for religious reasons or availability. Animal fat was the most common fat available for centuries. They didn't have all the options available today. Anyway, I do strive to use the most healthy version of fats in my cooking but their are some things, where lard or shortening works the best. Tortilla and masa for Tamales for me, there is no compromise. Thanks

    • @Just-Nikki
      @Just-Nikki 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I use lard that I render or whatever fat source I have available from the past couple of days. Maybe that’s chicken fat or bacon grease or in a pinch, I use butter but typically it’s home rendered lard that’s very clean.

      @max_pepper 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Stephen_Viele it definitely can be cheaper to make your own homemade diet, just make sure meals are balanced so there aren’t any vitamin or mineral deficiencies 😊 I used to pay $120 a month for a bag of kibble for my dog and now I feed her a commercial raw diet for $110 a month.

    The best way to protect your chickens from hawks is to get a livestock guardian dog. Our chickens and geese free range over large pastures and we don’t lose any due to our Anatolian Shepherd who we raised with chicks when she was a puppy so she views them and our sheep as her pack. Our turkeys don’t believe in fences, they fly over and out every day. But we’ve never lost one to predators because our dog’s scent and ferocious bark is enough to keep coyotes and foxes away in the areas outside our fence. And we live next to a nature preserve, so there are many predators in our area

    When you drink Matcha with milk it negates most of the benefits of the matcha. The polyphenols in Matcha bind to the cow proteins. They don’t do that with nut or oat milks. I actually started drinking my matcha with just warm water and I’ve learned to enjoy the natural taste of it (plus I know I’m getting all the benefits). Love your guys’ channel ❤️🙏🏼

We got hit Father's Day evening with what we believe was a tornado, it has damage our house to the point we believe it will need to be rebuilt. We have 17 trees either get riped and thrown or up rooted. We have a 6" branch in bedded into our wall of our house, 4 tree we're on the roof. There is major water damage and structure damage. And structure adjuster will be here today to tell us what we are to do. God is great as my husband and I and ALL our animals were safe. Thank you for sharing, till next time God Bless.

    I also wanted to share that I also make tortillas at home and have invested in a manual cast iron tortilla press. It is so worth the purchase if you'd like to make tortillas regularly - instead of rolling it out with a rolling pin, simply plop the dough on the press, pull the lever down, and in like 1 second you have a flat, round (raw) tortilla. It's a time saver for sure.

    We make our own tortillas, but with masa flour, salt, and water. We cook a piece of pork in the slow cooker with salsa verde and it’s my favorite meal. We like the tortillas so much, we got a tortilla press off Amazon. It makes it go faster. My youngest son loves to help with tortillas, so I roll all the dough in balls and set it out for him. He presses it and passes it to me and I immediately put in the pan. I have 2 pans going on the stove and we get it done really fast this way.

    Good Morning Farmers. So I purchased the garden watering wand you recommended, with the Ladyfinger Popcorn, and you are right, the wand works perfect, and the popcorn is great. Thank you.

    I am about to have a homestead and will be living off grid. I will not have any tvs on my land nor internet so I am not distracted and I will be able to stay focused on my land.

    I solved my sloppy Joe "ick" buy using pita bread. The pocket makes it a neat Joe.
