I normally never comment but I used to be the same as you regarding flowers. I used to think it was a waste of space! Now, it's one of my favorites. My kids are always bringing in bouquets and gifting them to others. When I'm outside, the bees and hummingbirds love the flowers!! The flowers feed my soul!! Love your videos. Thanks for all you share!
Watching your journey as a young family is very inspiring. I'm in my early 50's and I think it is pretty amazing to be inspired by younger people. Cheers ! From the Laurentien, Quebec.
Our daughters LOVE Liziqi! And she actually just posted a few new videos this fall after a three year break!! Her name is pronounced Lee-Zi-Chi Lee (like in leek) Zi (more of vibration with your teeth closed, like the -ds in seeds) Chi (like in chin, but without the n) I was just guessing for ages until my husband (who grew up in Honolulu around plenty Chinese) explained to me different consonants sounds of Mandarin. But you’re absolutely correct that her gardening videos are out of this world! The ones where she shows the whole year long growing season from seed to preservation just makes you want to get out in the garden and grow food!!
Absolutely loved seeing this video! Please keep them coming next year and many years to come. It is a refreshing chance from the beauty favorites, Amazon favorites & all around consumerism favorites. Half of Your stuff was home made and/or home grown and I absolutely loved that!
I have to just say you two are my favorite homesteading channel since I found you about 2 years ago. You should be so proud of yourselves! I believe I've learned something new every video, and I love that!❤ Happy 2025🎉
Ditto! I watch most of the other homesteaders you mentioned and love them, too. But you guys are my favorite! I feel like y'all are so relatable in so many ways. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. And have a very blessed Christmas! ❤
im so glad i found your channel! my boyfriend and i hope to start our own homestead someday. im 23 now but i have so many ideas that im excited to bring to reality when im older. i would love to learn about gardening, keeping animals, experiment more with cooking and baking, preserving food, and overall learn to utilize nature around me to live off of. i got so excited when you mentioned sheep! i know how to crochet & it would be fun to spin my own yarn. so much to learn but your channel is a huge inspiration for me🦋
There’s nothing better than wildflowers… They are beautiful, make cut flowers or sitting in the afternoon with tea and watching the pollinators living out their best lives because of what you planted! I just got a Joey apron for Christmas… I may have been jinxed by it though because I have not had any bumper crop of literally anything yet!😂😂😂 Happy Birthday pretty mama! You have made my life better! Thank you! Jennifer 😊❤
Also I am trying sunflowers which I will use the stalks as trellises for my last crops of pole beans and possibly cucumbers. I love sunflowers. They last so long on the vine and as cut flowers.❤
Sunflowers brought me so much joy, and being able to use the seeds for so many things as well, plus since I grew the super big tall varities the stalks dry into sturdy tools for the garden for things that need to vine or grow up. It's what finally pulled me out of the only grow it if you'll eat it camp.
I grew luffa for the first time this year, too. I put 5 vines on a trellis only twice the size of yours. That was a huge mistake as it covered the trellis, the whole back end of my yard AND my back yard neighbors garden as well as an enormous 17 foot tall trunk that is 11 feet around at the base! It grew 45 feet in every direction!! 🤣🤣🤣 It was fun... it was planned WITH my back yard neighbor so it was okay. We had a ton of fun watching it. Between the two of us we harvested over 500 luffa! I LOVE my luffa dish sponges, too! HUGE CONGRATS on getting the computer out of the closet and in the new office! That is always an exciting moment!!
When building fences, etc we used zip ties until they started to break. We had so many to replace we decided to use a heavy guage wire instead. I loved this video showing the highlights of the past year.
I love Gold Shaw Farm, too--partly, I admit, because he lives about 45 minutes from me here in VT, and I can really relate to the landscape and the problems he encounters. The videos Morgan did of the flooding we had here are not exaggerated at all, it trashed VT, and I appreciated so much that he raised a bunch of money for his town, Peacham through a video. I also love LMNT, and use it a lot, although I like the unflavored one, and then I put it in my homemade drinks. Thank you, guys, for sharing your year with us. Michelle, I love your soaps, they are beautiful!🌊
Dexter cattle are wonderful to work with. We have 2 cows and a bull that are very sweet. Buddy is going to be 5 soon, and we have never had any issues with him. Dexter milk is more homogenized than dairy cows, but you still get a cream line. You won't go wrong with Dexters ❤❤
I really like my infrared thermometer for soapmaking too! It truly was a game changer for me in my soap making. I'm so happy to hear the ghee is working for you and your daughter! That's great news!! I need to try those shoes!
As long as weather is good we go kayaking as a family every Sunday too! It is just the BEST! Love y'all's content. Me and my daughter love watching your videos together, we also watch Liziqi as well. Keep up the awesome work. It is inspiring. ❤️
I just made tollhouse choc chip cookies with fifty percent Azure Teff flour. That came out amazing. I made another batch with fifty percent Azure Khorazon flour. They were great, but the Teff was over the top.
This was so wonderful and fun! Really nice to see you guys so happy and feeling so positive at the end of the year. Here’s hoping that 2025 is even better.
Have a wonderful Christmas. I don't know if you're familiar with the veggie boys but their videos are fun and informative. They've been farming the same land since 1840 and have a market garden, veggies, fruit, eggs and beef and like you pretty much make everything from scratch including venison sausage and bologna (not for sale).
My favorite channels are yours, Simple Living Alaska, Living Traditions Homestead and Hollar Homestead. I binge watch your older videos when nothing new is available! I've already seen them all. Been watching from the beginning.
We’ve learned so much from you guys and have been so inspired by your videos. Looking forward to what you guys have in store for our learning and viewing pleasure in 2025.
My grandpa used to can applesauce that he would put those cinnamon red hot candies in and it was super delicious he didnt put too many per jar. It tasted really good and cinnamonnie...
I have to say Michelle that I use to be of that same mind set if you can't eat it why grow it? My wild flowers brought me so much joy this year too. When it was to hot to be out in the garden I would cut me a fresh bouquet of flowers and enjoy them inside in my small seed starting nook in my house. It lifted me up. I definitely want to grow luffa next summer. One of my favorite purchase this year was a gardening tool belt, a big salad spinner that I got at Good Will for $2.99, my spinning compost bin, and the grow light station I built.
Quick tip…64 oz jug of 100% Welch’s grape juice .. 2 cups sugar… 1 pack bread yeast… put in wine making glass jug carboy …4 weeks later really good homemade wine!
Amandaw...I've been watching Cooking With Clams. I've learned a lot from this NY chef & restaurant owner. Also a great channel. Crazy thing, I've never seen him cook clams! Lol. Mushroom foraging, fishing 🎣 cooking fresh food. It's well worth checking out & subscribing!
I love those Zero shoes. I own several pair of them and have had one pair for 2 1/2 years and they are still going. Wearing them as I type. I have walked many a mile in them. They are very comfortable. The whole video was very good !! Keep on keeping on !!!
I bought my mother in law the Joey apron for Christmas in purple thanks to your video. I can't wait to gift it to her tomorrow. Merry Christmas to you both and your kiddos.
This was excellent 🙌🏼 I most appreciate the fast that you put in the other TH-camrs you both like. I will be watching them soon. Thanks for sharing your life with us 😊 💕
Love this video! Thanks for sharing all of the info! I was at Hocking Hills SP 3 years ago and loved it there! I was just looking at it last night when working on planning some more camping trips with my hubby's siblings! Unfortunately, it's over a 5-hour drive for us (northeast Indiana). I'm hoping to get there again soon! Happy New Year!!♡😊
Merry Christmas! This year I took a lot of inspiration from you and some from other channels and with some trial and error we grew more crops and they were better! I discovered the food mill as a tool for the first time thanks to you, and this year it was one of my favourite tools in the kitchen. This year was also the one I discovered apple sauce and made pear sauce which with added honey is great on toast with some blue cheese. Next year I plan to make a chicken coop and have our first flock (kids are already impatient about it). So thank you for the inspiration, we all love your videos! May you have blessed and wonderful Christmas and a great and successful new year!
What a fun video! I also enjoy xeroshoes and am no longer plagued with plantar fasciitis. I have watched myou do most of the things you mentioned, but I missed the eclipse video. I'll check. it out. You all are such fun. Thank you for sharing.
I real enjoyed this video. It actually prompted me to send you a couple little tools from amazon to you po box . It shows waiting for pick up. Hope you find them useful . Merry Christmas and a Blessed upcoming New Year.
Such a Wonderful Year!💫 I’ve enjoyed every one of your videos!! I wanted to tell you all that I learned from you but the list is Long! So just from this video - I’m a dork!! I have an infrared thermometer I got for my freeze dried foods - I’ve never thought to use it in the kitchen!🙄 Thanks!! I used your code and ordered my Exercise crazy daughter (Spin - weight lifting- Yoga instructor) The LMNT packets - Thank You!! My place has many products and recipes and ways of doing things gleaned from you both🥰 Next is gee 👍🏼 & by golly a cold frame soon! I hope🤞 You 2 are a fabulous inspiration and wonderful people in all you share - Thank You!!! Wishing you & your’s a Blessing filled Holiday and 2025❤ OH!!! Tossing gummy’s for keep on going incentive!! 🤣😂 BRILLIANT!!
Liziqi was in a court battle with her old producer and apparently has recently won her case! I am so glad she is posting again too!! Lisa, Kara and Nate - me too!
Loved this video, im so happy I found this channel, I've been watching for a year now and its improved so much, i really like your critiques , Michelle, of the things you like and dislike, i feel i can trust your opinions, have a great Christmas!!!!
Hi, from Destin, Florida! What a great video. We really enjoy watching you guys. Sadly, the gorgeous tea strainer isn't available 😢 but that chopper was. Funny, I told my husband I needed to find out which one you were using when you posted that video about the meal prep. Thanks for adding the links. Merry Christmas, and we wish yall the best in 2025.
Thank you all for this, and all your videos. I liked apple sauce, the new skills reveals of Michelles, tha ksgiving, end of harvest and the one where we looked for the cool trick your son pulled off, videos this year. (If I had to pick. Which is difficult because I like all yalls videos)
Hello Michelle, just want to give a suggestion. My husband is a beekeeper and we make our own candle for personal use. And like you, we bought different sizes of wicks but nothing works. And finally this year, my husband put a tightly rolled single leaf of a kitchen paper and put it in the center of the candle and woww it works. So for the Advent candles I made for this year, I used the trick and the candles are burning so well. No more buying wicks here (we still have 2 rolls left that I have to giveaway or dispose). Merry Christmas to your entire family ❤❤❤❤
Merry Christmas Cody, Michelle, the kiddos and the animals 🎄🎁⛄. This is a great video. My take away from this video proved that one does not need to make lots of money to enjoy life to its fullest! You have successfully proved that. Those who want to live the life you chosed should realize that there is a lot of giving and taking. There will be ups and downs. What makes things work is communication and being able to laugh (Michelle to Cody about his Jesus' shoes). You are blessed. Jesus is watching over you. He has more in stored for you. 🥰
Merry Christmas too you all! Soon to be 2025 and wish you both and your family all the best. Thank you for all the videos. (I hopefully will stop changing my name)
My favorite is you guys! Had to come on and wish you and your family the most blessed Christmas! I just love you two and have learned alot from both of you! You are so talented! Thanks for all the help in my garden! So go grow those herbs this year Michelle! Ive got mine going in already! Plant more this year! Your doing so good! Love you guys!!!❤❤❤❤! I want to get that chopper and the lazer thermometer. 😊😊
This video with all the things you love was fantastic! Thank you, guys. I love Michelle's laugh. You crack me up. Can't wait for 2025 with you 💕 💗 💓 it was awesome to see you teach your daughter baking. God bless you all and many prayers 📿 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 📿 😇 🙏🏻 ✨️ ✝️

Hello Sue merry Christmas to you Robin
Merry Christmas!!
When building fences, etc we used zip ties until they started to break. We had so many to replace we decided to use a heavy guage wire instead. I loved this video showing the highlights of the past year.
To much fun watching you guys! Thank’s for sharing and most useful!❤
It's crazy how popular Kara and Nate's channel is. Their story is interesting. Great content.

Hello merry Christmas to you
My great granny did the same in the 70s. I've never tasted apple butter better than hers
Awe!! I love that Cowboy is a girl. I had a girl kitty named cowboy bc she sounded like a house trotting around. ❤
I love love my wild flowers. Fresh cut flowers in the house are such a blessing ❤
