I have 8 veritas rods. Love them all! All, All are paired with a concept C by 13 fishing. My favorites are 2 - 7’ 6” heavy/fast for hollow frogs and it is deadly! You will not go wrong with this rod!
I kind of wish I got the 6’6” setup but the one I have still works great! I’m surprised you broke an eye? How did you manage that? And I totally agree, I have some green braid on my rod and it has like green particles all over it now and it makes it look less appealing but I still love it!
@@InlineOutdoors The 6'6" is pretty light. Easy to fish all day. I'm more accurate with shorter rods and I kayak bass fish so I need them short. I probably broke it pulling it in and out of my car. Not completely sure though.
@@RobFishYT I’m always really tough on my rods! lol I’ve been getting into kayak fishing more and it’s a ton of fun! I just have a lifetime kayak so it’s a cheap one, what kind of kayak do you run?
@@InlineOutdoors I actually got the lifetime teton. It was the only thing i could get at the time. Glad I did, because the smaller form kayaks serve a purpose. My nucanoe unlimited arrives this month. Already got a new trolling motor and 2.5hp engine sitting in my garage waiting. But...I still bank fish....I actually think its a better challenge.
It’s a great rod and reel setup, depending on how much you want to spend, the next step up would be a Shimano curado dc. I made a video on that reel and it is top notch. However you would have to get a rod for it if you decided to go that route
I have one It just does not cast ANYWHERE near as far as I’d like. So I’ve just switched to using it as a live bait rod and I’ve reeled in a few 5-10 pounders. Although the white gets dirty It’s great for live bait at night cause it’s very easy to see
I agree, it’s much better at casting heavy baits rather than lighter ones. I might give that a try using it as a live bait rod! Do you have a lot of success in live bait?
Damn for the price I was expecting an aluminum frame. Was bummed when I seen it’s graphite. Was ready to click order and everything. Such a sick looking combo too.
I see where you’re coming from. There are probably better bang for your buck combos out there. I think you also pay for the aesthetics of this combo. I think it’s a great setup for someone trying to get into baitcasters!
@@InlineOutdoors Yeah no doubt. For everyday bass fishing these combos are just fine. I think i'm spoiled with my revo premiers and tatula elites and my curados and all that. Still such a sick looking combo though. I like how fishing companies are starting to offer sleek looking combos. Love the new look of the re-vamped st croix bass x line
@@InlineOutdoors 😂😂 That sucks, good to know that these things last. Just saw the Veritas combo on Walmart for 98.00 had to snag it up. Appreciate you very much! 🤙🏽
With very few expectations, the Abu Garcia Veritas seems to be a great setup! What do you think?

They are great! I want to get more!
Just copped it for $140. Can’t wait to use it for my budget swim bait setup
That’s a great deal!
Yeah I just got it for 125 in the Walmart website! Don’t tell the secret lol spinner rod though
Your review is timely, dude. I'm thinking I might go for that brand, though possibly not that very rod.. Hmm, will think some more. Thanks.!
My brother, at that price that is not a beginner set up.
Used to bring in a bonito and 24”halibut. Works great with saltwater and a rinse after use. 7’ fast medium heavy. Combo for $150
I got the 6''6" MH. Decent rod. Not as sensitive as more expensive rods. One eye broke, but it still didn't stop me from going out and buying another.
Oh and the resin on the rod eventually turns yellow and the rod looks really dirty after a few uses.. Does not bother me though.

I have the 1st version 6'5" med. Favorite rod on top water
You can buy the rod separately and a reel added on personally it’s very goood

@@InlineOutdoors Honestly whatever makes ya happy, use it! The fish don't seem to notice if my combo's are $140 or $500! Lol.
@@blackbirdrc8348 The amount of gear is endless! Stores like scheels and bass pro are dangerous!
It's better in a spinning set up. For a worm pole it's super light with great action and strong enough.
I’ll definitely have to check it out!
Three years later coming to you, do you still like the rod if you do use it?
Unfortunately my Veritas rod succumbed to the car door and is no longer around🤣 I still use the reel though lol

Nice video 👍
Thank you!
i got the 7 foot medium heavy and the top of the rod looks thin. Do you think it will be ok?
I think it should be okay. Does it looks defective or just thin?
just thin i think

How much does the combo weigh in grams?
$119 at Walmart right now guys get yours while theyre in stock!!!
Bro!!! Was this online?
I don’t know if you noticed that you video has a blurry line in the middle of the screen!!
I noticed this months after posting the video but people seem to like the video so I guess I’m keeping it lol
Yep! That werent bother at all!! Thanks for the review mate!
Thanks
No problem! Lots of more content to come!
😃👍👍👍
i like ,
Bro at 269 just get a slx DC and and a rod
You’re right, there are probably better options if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck! I was pretty sold on the aesthetics!
Fuck DC braking, dynamic brakes is much MUCH better when you know how to use a baitcaster
Sir,Reel Name?
It’s a combo so you buy the rod and reel together it is the Abu Garcia Veritas. I’m not sure if you can buy the reel separately…
Sata V
You would like the combo a lot better if you cut the Ty-rap off the reel……
Lol hey man I like it regardless, I am quite forgetful and tend to forget to take these off but the combo is still awesome!
Sounds like someone has rod envy
300 bux 👀 .u got robbed my boi
I didn’t spend $300 on it but I know that’s usually what they go for in big box stores, I still like it regardless
@@InlineOutdoors that's all that really matters at the end of the day ..that u like it.
