No because the US has much better teams for the Olympics than FIBA. The US players take the Olympics far more seriously than the world cup. While the "rest of the world" has caught up to the US, the "rest of the world" does not field a team. Individual countries do.
It's not gonna be easy for USA this time. Bron & AD are teammates, Book & KD are teammates, Jrue & Tatum are teammates & both Steph & KD were teammates before.. yall forget that 1/2 of these guys will have a current or former teammate on the team & it’s not like these guys don’t workout & play against each other year round.. you don’t have to be a guys teammate to know what he can do on the court, it’s simply a matter of getting reps in because the talent & IQ is there so they’ll figure it out because great players can figure out how to play w/ other great players
@@carlgilmore-murry5789 apart of jrue and tatum you mentioned the two players who had the ball the most in their team. Its a difference to being the 5th option on team USA. Bron, AD, Book, KD, Tatum, Steph aren´t used to that. Playing a completly different role on Team USA than in the NBA is difficult to adapt to. Bron would probably have very little of the ball and have to spot up in the corner often. Can he do it maybe but is it easy to change your habits of the last 18 years? No, it isn´t.
In order to win gold we needs to send a real team, we can't win with an all-star team any more. Which means at most a 10 man rotation with the 10th man getting like 10 minutes max. The 11th and 12th men will not play any meaningful minutes so we will need players who will be fine not playing so not superstars.
i dont see how people around the world dont see the nba as a world champion, literally the best plaers from most other countries come to the us to play basketball and with a few exceptions are often average to good players. its a shame lebron didnt do this every year 20 years would be 5 back to back gold metals in basketball if he got all the best players together. that would be a huge piece of a legacy he would of been the king of the world of basketball.

That was horrible with all black team for sixth time, count them six Olympic team with no white or Asian or Spanish or Arabic players only black players, where is the diversity and inclusion? I say include Larry Bird and John Stockton and Nick Price and Kaitlin Clark
Reflecting on the common American practice of labeling NBA Champions as "World Champions" unveils a layer of cultural self-centeredness and insularity that warrants a closer examination. This term, often accepted without a second thought, serves as a microcosm for the broader mentality of American exceptionalism-a perspective that not only pervades sports but also seeps into various facets of U.S. society and its international stance. I once engaged in a conversation that illuminates this mindset strikingly. An American friend, with unshaken confidence, declared: "America is top of the world, don't you all want to be American?" The remark, intended to be a proud assertion of national superiority, instead sparked laughter among us. But beneath the humor lay a profound sadness, a realization of the missed opportunities for empathy and understanding in favor of a narrow worldview.

He’s soft like a charmin, and also a trader. If I were in charge, he’d be ineligible because he was born in Cameroon.
maybe because he has absolutely no connection to France
