shimano has never put a screw in handle on sub $100 reels. its part of the cost saving. some people dont have Stradic money

@@Charlie_The_Giant_Gourami i believe the model before the FC didn't have screw in. The FC is the best sub $150 light duty spinning reel in my opinion. the Daiwa BG for medium-heavy duty
