Seriously on my new bsd alvx build my handlebars we’re too far forward so I watched this and put them correctly It makes bunnyhops mannys and anything easier
Mine are a hair back, because I find it easier to do bunny hops. I could only afford a used bike so I went with a custom hyperco indy bmx (Logan Martin sig) it's 20.5, and about half a inch too long for my 5ft self😂, buy I love it, have improvised, and found a way to make it work for me, hell, some may say they are straight, lol
It's about leverage. If your bars are too forward you are putting alot of leverage on the bars and a hard landing or even a good nose manual and youll end up dropping those bars!
Tell a newbie this!!! If you've been riding for decades like I have, then it''s all about personal preference. I don't have mine where you're saying. Besides tell Dan Kruk he's wrong. He kills it.

Fork taper can mess with the perception of in line.
I remember when vert riders all rode Chicago. Doesn't seem to be a thing anymore.

I go chicago with my bars

Hi
In line with the forks. too forward too far back and you are going to have issues. Nothing sucks more than your bars just DROPPING on you!
