    Hello dear
    I put big bore kit on my Keeway F act 50. It goes great downhill and on flat. Uphill is about to stop, carb jetting is stock.

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get a main jet kit and tune the carb. Most likely it needs a bigger jet.

  • @49ccscoot

    Autotech355 is a seller on eBay. It's a good street kit. You have to jet the carburetor and probably change the roller weights so they work with the new cylinder. Shouldn't require any other modifications to run well on most scoots.

    What do you say about buying a chinese 70cc cylinder with 10mm piston pin? Speed and durability and stock crankshaft effect?

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I say do not buy a Chinese big bore kit. That's from experience. When I saved a lot of money, I spent more in the long run. I have had cylinder kits with so much piston to wall clearance that I had piston slap with a brand new kit. Some may be OK, but it's a risk. At least get Taiwan made.
      10mm piston pin works OK for sport stuff.

    So my factory 49cc jet size is ~80? I'm surprised (in your particular case) the additional ~20cc didn't require a larger jet! With a 70cc bbk, tuned pipe, and free flowing air filter- any idea what jet size I might want to start out at before initial tuning? Any thoughts are appreciated.

      well not that it don`t require its just works with the same jet increasing the jet will get him lower MPG but better performance

  • @MSJDesign
    @MSJDesign 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did it myself. I'm not sure it will make an improvement. These motors are so finicky and no 2 motors are alike. But the heads intake is a lot bigger and is now in alignment with the intake mainifold and carb, (that is to say there's not an edge for the air to slam into and create turbulence) but well see. Might actually be worst off.

  • @mbahmannz

    hi , will the kit improve rmp ? do you think better to upgrade 70cc kit or unrestricted cdi ?

    My zuma 50,2t went 40mph. I installed a chinese 70cc cylinder. Now I get max 35mph after trying many different jets. I want to try reworking the ports they looked smaller than stock 50cc ports. Fingers crossed!

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might want to check your squish and compression if possible before you alter the ports. If the compression is low from something like a big clearance, it could cause low output. Also, make sure you check your port durations when modding or even adjusting to be sure they suit whatever you're after. You don't want to end up with high rev racing durations for a low rev sport kit or something.

    • @finkthreely7089
      @finkthreely7089 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@49ccscoot Thank you so much for all that you have shared. It had at least 3mm of squish with 169°exh/122°xfer. I switched back to the stock 50cc cyl head and chamfered the xfer ports up and smoothed the exhaust port shape to get 183°exh/128°xfer with 0.8mm squish without both gaskets. It pegged the stock speedometer today with very little tuning yet and cruises 40mph with hills. All thanks to your posts!

    What did you think of the quality of autotech355 big bore kit from Taiwan? As compared to well known kits by Malossi, Polini, Airasol etc. I own a 2006 Kymco Super 9 liquid cooled 2T 50cc scooter. It has a clone of a mirelli engine. Mods from previous owner of scooter are technigas expansion chamber exhaust, 93 main jet(from oem derestricted kit) and 6.5 gram rollers. I'm just looking to for more uphill speed and lower end torque. I tried 4.5 gram rollers(motortic brought from autotech355) which gave me more power but lower top end speed and rpm was 9-10grand most of the time instead of 8 grand. I went back to 6.5 gram rollers. I am a 41 yr old 6'2" 190lbs child who loves his scooter😁 Your input on quality and any opinions possible mods would be great, as you obviously have been there and done that when it comes to scooters. Also been looking at Malossi cast iron 70cc kit but it is $130 more. Thanks

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The quality was fine. The consistency is not like the major brands though. A kit from Autotech 5 years ago may not be the same thing you get now. Polini Sport for example should be the same thing as long as you order the same part number, so you know what you're getting. The extra displacement would be a big upgrade.

    • @mechtechtools838
      @mechtechtools838 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@49ccscoot Okay. Sounds like this 70cc kit is old stock as it is not made anymore according to autoech355. Probably be a winter project so I will think whether I will get autotech355 Motoritec kit or the Malossi kit available for my engine. I live in Canada so if I buy the Malossi kit it would be from scootertuning.ca for $300 cad plus taxes. Motoritec kit is $190 cad with possibilty of taxes & duty. Thanks for the great videos, I have been binge watching lately

    james bezer (won't let me reply to you) : I always suggest getting a jet kit in order to ensure that the jet you use is the proper one for YOUR scooter and not just what works for the majority. I've seen jet size with a BBK vary from about 70 to 95 with stock airboxes or stock airboxes with the snorkel removed. Most commonly I'd expect 85-90 main jet.

      The easiest way would be not to use this kit. Choose something like a midrace cylinder and a good pipe. Stage6MKII and a Yasuni C16 for example. Will require a carb upgrade and tuning, should use some aftermarket CVT parts and CVT tuning.
