Just swapped my iPhone 5s for the note 3 probably the best tech decision I have ever made its a real beauty of a phone.
The note is soooo amazing.I dropped it in the bathtub a week ago..and I thought it was done.It magically turned on a week later after showing no signs of ever working again.Its a piece of art :)

Excellent review. I've watched so many of these and this one is the best. You get right down to business and tell us what we really want to know without any verbal filler. Very impressed. I'm still using my note 1, so I think I'll probably be going with the Note 3 next month.
I am thinking of getting the galaxy note 3 I just wonder if its gonna be on comfortable to carry in your pocket I do not have the note 2 so this would be my first phablet is it an uncomfortable device to carry on the daily basis does it feel comfortable using with one hand

what is the width of the screen?
I used to carry a 3"x5" note pad and a pen with me for many years, and the 3" width is a bit too narrow to write notes on. I hope the width of the note 3's screen is more than 3".
Would rooting the note 3 nurf the picture quality from the camera? I've heard that's what happens when you root the s4 to stock android. Also how does the notes (2&3) speaker sound quality stack up to most other big phones out there? Guessing nothing close to the htc 1 but hopefully better than the 5s and droid MAXX right?
If you get the Note 3, would it really be worth it to root it? All of the stylus functions will only work with Touchwiz right? Isn't that a huge selling point of the phone? Wouldn't another phone be more appropriate if you will just root it? Would love to hear your thoughts on this as I've heard this in other reviews. Whats your take?
Would you recommend it to a user updating from the Galaxy s3?

Can anyone tell me is a Rooted Note2 able to update any Samsung features (not android features) eg, S Note, or apps that related with the S pen.
I originally thought that I wouldn't want the Note 3 but I just got one and I was wrong. The Note 3 is a step up from the note 2 and that's saying alot because the note 2 is an awesome device.
Im addicted to samsumg phones (specifically the note series). I absolutely love my Note 3! It is only a phone but I believe I have the best phone on the market

Its a pretty nice phone if you have the white one like I do its SUPER SLIPPERY but I've had it since January and it still feels huge ..... Its kinda irritating some times
Donovan Hall I have big hands so Im used to the size. Its normal to me; anything smaller and that feels wierd
ChiTownOnDeck it feels normal to me but too its just certain times remind me that's its a bigger then average phone
same here. there is something about galaxy notes... I used to own a note 2, then switched it for htc one m7, but I miss my old note, I never was as satisfied with my htc as I used to be with my note. I'm looking to get note 4 next year, or perhaps note 5? yeah!

I do love my note ll but the 16GB device memory is not sufficient enough in my opinion.

So I WAS deciding between the s4 and note 2 and the note 2 won, but then I see the note 3 and it's the same price as the note 2??? Am I mistaken or am I right? (I'm buying it at full price)
I got Note 3 Since 2014 I'm STILL Using it in 2019
DSB A.k.a DynamicSonicBonnie i find it weird how this 2013 phone is very nearly speced to the note 5 as this note 3 is 2 ghzs slower (max) than the note 5s 2.1 ghzs processor.
and yet alone on quad core mode the note 5 is at 1.5ghz as this note 3 is clocked at 1.3 ghz
so even skipping the note 4 its not worth upgrading from note 3 to the note 5
the only real differance is that the note 5 has 1 GB more of ram and the architecture is 64-bit
but thats it
so your phone is still a power house
especially if you overclock it.

@Preet Gill I also found this out you get two s pens and hover them and you can move the screen and open apps with it.
Is the note 3 with the exynos or snapdragon better?
@h1a8 i compared my note 2 to the s4 in the store and the images and text on my note were a little more sharp. since the note 3 uses the same pentile pixel layout as the s4 it probably will have the same result. pentile layouts generally have bluer whites also

My younger brother is a fan of Note. He can keep his Note II. I am a fan of Lumia, I would like to ask you, Lumia 1020 costs about 699 dollars with contract, do you you think it is too expensive? Considering iPhone 5C is sold over 700 dollars and Galaxy Note III over 800 dollars?
I'm very excited about the Note III & will most likely pick it up on launch day this Friday but I'm upset that 4.4 is being released @ same time & I'll have to wait for update. Worse than that: the announcement of the Galaxy F series slated for spring. Not looking to keep up with the Joneses but I want my new tech to actually be that: NEW!!!

Well, I would assume that battery life is better on the Octacore CPU since you can make it so one one of the CPUs run if you don't need the extra power.

I am an iPhone 4s user, and ive been on the 2 year contract cycle which lands me on the "s" models of the iPhones... The iPhone 5s just isnt worth the upgrade to me, I mean cmon, in 2 years theyve added a little bit bigger screen and a finger print scanner?? The Note 3 is very high upon my options for a new phone, anyone else in a similar situation? Any advice? Thanks.
i am just waiting for android 4.3 , my note 2 will have nearly same features , witnessed that when i 1st bought my device , Note 1 received big part of all features when updated to 4.1.2

I can't wait for the 4.3 update to the Note 2. I was disappointed with performance and battery life on 4.1.2 that I rooted to CM10.1 and am loving it. But officially I think 4.3 will help the device do well with its more under-the-hood optimizations. Plus I prefer the Note 2 over the 3, it looks and feels so much nicer in the hand.
Been using Note 3 for 3 days now after coming from Note 2. The phone is so much slicker than previous, even just moving around menus you can deffinetly tell. When i pickup my Note 2 it really feels ancient..
I have an S3 & after playing w/the Note 2 & 3. I can't wait to switch. Best device on the planet handsdown.
But I take a lot of pix. Thats the reason I am not getting the great HTC ONE (love it) hut the camera is a deal breaker. Fix this problem HTC.
This helped me decide to hold on to my Note2 until next year when I'm eligible for an upgrade with my carrier.

You never mentioned Note3 N9005 has video recording at 4K, surely this is a big plus over the Note 2 or any other phone.
