How do you get your google service number so low? I don't really use the play store or google now much at all, but it's at 30%+ all the time.

Mix SwipePad and Popup widget and you get these feature like floating broswer, dialer, floating youtube, music player, clocks, messages, gmail. ect. ive been doing this on my Note 2 for the longest, still glad its dedicated on the Note 3

If I'm hell bent on having a stock android OS on my phone which would be better? Rooting the Note 3 or waiting for the Nexus 5 to come out?

It depends, if you need a daily tablet ,go for the nexus 4 and 7 combo :) ,but if you don't really need the tablet go with the s4 :)

I'm thinking to upgrade from my note 2 to the note 3, but I'm gonna wait and see with the nexus 5, I think that it's gonna be hard to get used to a 5"display on the nexus 5, + I'm a little worried about the battery life on the 16gb version.

There is a considerably price difference which has to be taken into account when it comes to deciding for one or the other.
To me it's a little off-putting that all the information accrued on these smartphones is cumbersome to get somehow on a laptop. When taking notes on the go I want them to finally end up on my laptop for further processing.
Taylor I would just point out that the a Note 3 has a complete one handed operation mode by just swiping away from the side of the screen.there are even videos available on TH-cam highlighting the feature.. other than that ..great comparison..
NOTE 3 have one ...and it is beast... my friends who uses s4 are whining about battery and performance issues...but note it that the note3 is very big and it is not for everyone cause of its size...but other than that it is much more superior :D

I have the S4 and it's still awesome! no need to upgrade yet, i'll wait for S5 and i hope they don't increase the screen size ..
I like the Note 3 and want one. But I would have to pay $550.00 and my S4 to upgrade early. So for now I will hold off and wait for a good deal to come along. As fast as smartphones are being churned out the prices tend to drop fairly quickly.

I was at my Verizon store and was messing with the note 3 and g2. If the note 3 had the true HD IPS display as the g2, it would be perfect even though its already amazing

Ill probably pick up a note 3 when prices go way down from swappa have a gs4 running hyperdrive rom no lag and battery life is insane but I just want to see what the nite 3 has to offer

The S4 although smaller has the sharper screen - higher density of pixels for the reale-state. I'm keen to get my hands on this phone, not bothered like many on here with 'stock' android - how is that such an advantage for everyday cell pone user? I like the bells and whistles, they're useful, for me at least.

s7, but lots of S3 filters were lost when I went to S5

both phones are great. i have the s4 and i managed to get some time with the note 3. there isn't a difference in performance. sure, the hardware on the note 3 is better, but you're not going to notice it. also, the s4 is the perfect size. the note is big and while it may be good for watching videos or playing games, it's not as comfortable. the only real "advantege" is the S pen. i don't need it, so to me it's pointless, but some people may find it useful.
I'm gonna pick up a Note 3 eventually...When the prices start dropping. My S4 is still very good. And who knows, in a few months time maybe the Note 3 won't be "king" anymore. These days it's hard to keep up with technology. An expensive hobby.

comes down to screen size and OS, touch wiz will cause the note 3 to slow down, unlike nexus 5.
Picked up a note 3 today... A beast! Android has come a long way
Note 3 all the way.... the S4 is not bad but if I had to chose between just these two it would be the Note 3. Outside of that is the Nexus 5 will be interesting to see. To be really productive I need a tablet that can use Microsoft Office. Why Microsoft Office? Well that's what we grew up on. So thinking of Surface Pro 2, just thinking...

Is it just me, or is the sound quality of the video kinda mediocre?
How can you say the S4 is "scaled back a bit", when phone was release it was cutting edge at the time, that makes no sense

The note 3 is awesome with snapdragon 800. Exynos sometimes cannot handle touchwiz. We only get exynos in India. I will probably get an unlocked version from the U.S.

I like the Note 3 but I can't help but think its is too big, the note 2 feels good in hand but the note 3 is bigger (in hight although smaller in width) my brother has a Note 2 and I love it but I'm worried if i get the note 3 it may feel huge and hard to use one handed. I have thought of getting an S4 because of size and air gesture features but cant decide between Note 2, S4, or Note 3. Each has pros and cons. S4 (no s-pen and smaller than note 2) Note 2 (no air gesture) Note 3 (HUGE)
