      AllOffroad 4x4 Adventures TV I've suffered the last 5 years with low back, S.I. joint and sacrum issues. I can't even sit on couch or recliner more than 10-15 minutes. back in April a buddy calls me and tells me bought the canam Maverick X3. so I prepared my self to hating life and riding for a few minutes. that turned in 6hours. I can't stay I'm such more than without needing a bed to recover. they were absolutely amazing seat. been trying source a couple but they are expensive.

    I really wanted to see you build the truck, it would have been extremely unique. I understand your plight when the truck doesn't fit it doesn't fit. That's may sound odd to some, but not everyone can understand why we do what we do. You made the right decision as difficult as it may have been. Good luck on your next build and God bless.

      Very sad, because I was almost as excited as you to see what you were going to do with her, but the correct decision for your health. A commanders hatch above the drivers seat would be the only answer to your height problem.

    Not sure why this 3 year old video came up in my suggestions now... But the size issues are something interesting. I'm a bit shorter than that (187) with a long torso, and i had no head issues while wearing the then issue steel helmet and going offroad. Given i only experienced the passenger seat(s) but we had tall guys (190-195) driving them with combat boots (which have little sole extensions in the front so you can fixate them on oldschool skibindings... Something tells me that the more comfortable 718 got less space than the older 710 and 712... Or it might be a right hand drive thing? The big black thing above the head at 6:08 is also something i don't remember beeing there in those.

      I don't know it the original petrol version has less stuff on the floor? The seats are very much larger in the more modern ones but even in mine I'm going to have to refabrecate the seat mounting to gain a few inches.

    Hi Stefan, have you thought of perhaps something a little more modern? kinda newish and something that has been built for today's creature comforts and touring in mind for the Australian outback? the new iveco 4x4 is great but I am not too sure on what the costs are at for dual cab with the back sorted for touring?
    have you test driven one?
    and are you looking for something just as big or are you looking for more of a wagon again?
    Kind Regards
    George

This model was copied by F. Porsche to made a vw beattle. And btw name Styer Puch come from region styer and from founder name Puch and he was Slovenian. of course....problem is nowadays car are too confortable, you can't compare utility vehicles or trucks designed 30-40 years ago with the confort....
    And once you got the utmost confort, hard to go back. And most of the driving in "big trips" is made on road...

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +smitthone It's not the comfort, I gave up my Discovery 3 (which is complete luxury) for a Defender which isn't. I changed my play truck from a Discovery 2a for a 1995 Defender single cab so I can do with less comfort but A good seating position and food room if you have problem knees and back is a necessity

    Diese Bauweise ist irgendwie total weit weg vom normalen Leben 😎 , es sei denn der Fahrer ist unter 175 cm groß. Wenn ich mit meinen zwei Meter Größe daneben stehe, dann sieht der Pinzi aus wie ein höhergelegter Golf in dem ich nicht einsteigen will, weil ich nicht weiß wo ich meine Beine hinfalten soll. Solche Gedanken hatte ich des öfteren als ich auf dem Hof vom "Philipp aus dem Hanfbachtal" nach einer neuen Basis für ein Wohnmobil gesucht habe und unweigerlich an solche kleinen Pinzis vorbei kam.
    Fahre seit zwei Jahren einen robusten 93 er Ford Explorer 4.0 OHV mit dem ich jedes Jahr eine Fernreise mache. In dem Auto kann ich hinten bequem schlafen wenn es nötig ist und der robuste Motor hat mit der weichen Automatik eine gute Mischung für schweres Gelände wie 2017 in Russland.

      A nutcase like me mate, could not pass the opportunity and don’t regret having had it even though only for a short while, what’s your issue with it?

    Why give it a promo when you do not give it your your time........it's like you give a car a promo after a four week ownership
    Sttuff good luck with that....... Land Rover most awarded 4WD world.......... to date .......daughter or not

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I gave it a promo because it's a unique truck with only 2 in the country and there are many, many aspects of the truck I like but ultimately at this stage, it, unfortunately, can't be my sole tourer. I love LandRovers but I'm not a slave to any brand, I do appreciate and like other brands and models if the car ticks my boxes I'm happy to drive it... and I still have my Defender "Tiny"

    After 2 days? I had an air cooled 710M and it wasn't too noisy on long drives. I would have given one of my nuts to have a 718.

    • @AlloffroadAu

      No after 2 weeks, height about driver seat and sitting position for my size was the main issue, the noise I could have lived with

      same here..... but had some pretty good offers and ultimately I can't have a Pinz as my sole tourer. Went to a good home though and I'm quite sure we will see it in a video at some stage
