This was great to hear. Got only one point to add...
This goes to Steph about normalizing expectations esp those formed from a pattern. Overtime the dynamics change, and a shift happens but it doesn't take away your friendship. It just means you will need to be ready to show up differently in a different form of pattern matters quality time.
However 10/10 patterns form out of a certain purpose being served for a particular season...and they all have expiry dates. You just need to be discernful enough to know when it's time...and ease out with grace. It doesn't mean you are less of a person when the consistency is taken a way. The purpose was already served. And if another one needs to be served again, you will reconnect.
Overtime as you approach your thirties you start slowing yourself down on friendships cos you come to understand, life is happening for everyone...and the intensity you have towards others you just start sending it back to yourself because you are all you have. Singles can relate on this, not sure how the committed ones would feel about this.
But yeah...thought to chime in on that one.
    Thanks ladies ❤

The saddest thing is realizing that all along to them you were a window when you thought you were the floor

Something more sad is all along to them you were a window when to you, they were your floor😢

This is exactly what I'm thinking and after the friendship ends you have all these questions of why was that person a floor to me and to them I was a window. I guess the answer lies in they never trusted you enough to make you a floor 😵‍💫😵‍💫 who knows?

As long as your empath is stronger than your boundaries you will still go back to therapy .,woooow🙌

First of all, Steph's blush was the 3rd friend on that couch, and she said she must be seen!!
    Second, the fits fitted!
Onto the topic, I'm a bit shaky on the point Sharon gave on assessing character, because sometimes I wear love goggles, and I will stretch my boundaries for you- chaotic, right?
So my question is, when you assess the character, and it's not one you want to keep, how do you end that friendship?

I went through one friendship breakup in 2020😢. It hurt so bad at the time, but in hinesight, I'm grateful we did. I learnt that friends are experiences when our season is done, and I move on.

Loving the categories: Window, Door and Floor friends.😅
Over time some of us have realized since we have been low maintenance friends over years, when we require people to pull up ( which is rare) even the bare minimum is too much to ask of them.
Now wiser, we just cut off the connection and move on. No dead weight because you cannot give from an empty cup.
