COBB's Accessport V3 was very successful with our Focus ST project car so when COBB made them available for the EcoBoost Mustang we couldn't wait to get it on our car. This flexible ECU upgrade solution unlocks power hidden within the vehicle by replacing conservative factory settings with more aggressive calibrations and can provide off-the-shelf calibrations for most bolt-on modifications.
The installation process is pretty straightforward, however, the first time you marry it to your Mustang it will take a bit of time. Once installed though there are lots of cool features such as multiple gauge setups which include your choice of one gauge to six gauges.

Just a note from experience. I took a 15 mustang ecoboost to a drive in movie. aux on radio on it lasted a whole move (120min) so you will be fine if this is on. just turn your air, lights and radio off if you are that worried, but the battery will be fine for 30+ min of aux power without any issues.

Its awesome that the mustang has 80% of the gauges in the HUD. G force, boost, cylynder head temp, AFR, ambient air temp, intake air temp. and you even get 0-60, 0-100, 100-0 60-0 timers. Im amazed at how all around the new mustang is. perfect cruiser and then a track monitoring monster all in one. only thing the coob accessport will do is help you tune the motor. haha.
I have the sct tuner and It completely erased the autostart from my 2015 mustang ecoboost. took the dealership 3 days to fix it, I don't want to use the sct tuner again before my autostart gets erased again. would the cobb accessport have any issues with the autostart?
does the shif lights only work for manual or does it work for automatic as well?

Does anybody know does any of these tunes help with the response time of the gas pedal? I even installed one of those speed assist units to make it more like a fly-by-wire and even on the highest setting It's still seems that there is some gas pedal lag. Any idea on how to fix that or will this unit help fix that issue?

I have a question. I have a 2015 GT. If I use, in my cars case, an SCT X4 and restore to stock upon visiting a dealer for service will they be able to tell if it was ever tuned. I'm concerned about them voiding my warranty should something ever happen.
One the computer has been flashed if the dealer would check they can see it has been flashed, just not what it was flashed with.
The simple answer is yes they will know and it voids your warranty.
Do I need to have a aftermarket intercooler to have this install in my ecoboost mustang??
I have K&N air intake and modified exhaust.
No there are different stages available based on your mods. Stage 1 would be fine.
Bill Tumas Hi Bill I installed the accesport on my ecoboost today but i had a question. When i plugged in the devices the ignition was on but engine off.. once it started to do its thing everything shut off until the installation was complete the lights came back on, its that normal ? Thanks

Yes you can add custom maps and can update the device when new maps become available.

Yes it will work on the automatic as well.

I have a 2015 Premium M/T with 38k miles. Airaid closed CAI and BOV. I am considering a Cobb Tune Stage 1. Can anyone that has a Stage 1 tune on their share their feedback on the tune? Any issues with the tune after the fact? I'm hesitant due to all this ECOBOOM talk.
I actually have the same question. I'm getting a deal of $450 for this exact Cobb unit, a downpipe, and a MBRP full exhaust so it's a deal I just can't pass up but I'm wondering where do I get the tune for all of those specific parts or does the cob unit already have that in there and will pick up on it when I plug it in and load the tune or can I just load a 93 tune in with all of these accessories and it will be okay or do I have to do a special tune? I just don't want to kill my car anybody can help please?

With an ecoboost you should always use 93 or at minimum 91 octane gas even stock. Otherwise the engine has to slow down to prevent knock and shortens it’s lifespan. Also stick to top tier fuels my go to is Shell Vpower. Avoid the discount places or you will run into issues without a catch can.
My ecoboost tops out at around 120 mph. Will this tune make it surpass that?
Yes it removes the 121mph limiter

Yes. It will void the warranty. My 17' has been tuned with cobb since 15k miles with no issues however. I'm currently running stage 2 with Cobb's Intercooler.
It wakes the car up, the difference is incredible.

@@oxoym6276 Stage 2 is designed to function with an upgraded cold air intake and intercooler. Running it stock risks seriously harming or blowing your engine. Check COBB's website. They have kits available that detail what parts are designed to be used with each stage tune.

It wont cause any problems, if anything it will help you find future problems by monitoring engine parameters, and yes you can return it to stock.

Ryan Martin from PD Tuning will tune your Eco to beat GT's. PD Tuning is an e tuning company that tunes for Cobb. Look him up on YT. I used him for my speed3 and we had it at 400hp with meth injection.

@@lokiicordinn it's easier than you think. Contact the tuner you want. They will tell you what access port you need,COBB,SCT. Than you purchase the etune off their website and they walk you through the procee. It's actually fun doing and recording runs and sending them in and getting a new tune. Takes multiple runs and revisions but it's how tuning is done these days. There's multiple videos on how to etune with specific cars and access ports.

Vinsanitii yea it does but ti get around that go back to the factory setting and dont leave the access port in the car. it will void the power train warrenty
@@daltonwilliams777 the dealer can tell if the ECU has been changed, so you are screwed with the warranty even if the settings were returned to stock.

There is a tune file to upgrade a bone stock car.

only if you tune it to reduce power. You are never going to get more power AND more fuel efficiency. They are sacrificial to one another.
it's shown that it does improve your gas mileage by 1 to 3 miles

bill what if i have 92 octane in my country (mexico)
Cobb offers files for 91 and 93 octane with their Accessport. I am not sure if Mexico uses the same octane rating as US fuel so you would want to research that.

Does that mean 1.5 % of the current HP (ie if the HP was 310 then the gain would be 4.65HP) and same for the torque 22.6% of the possible 320 ft-lbs of Torque which is a gain of 72 ft-lbs???

Hesam0000 it has a 2 barrel stock
TheSamplebridge for 2-barrels as long as the choke mechanism, the springs and hoses are kept clean they function smoothly. Once every 6 months pour some SEAFOAM into the carb and let it loosen and blowout the carbon deposits. Also remove all spark-plugs and replace them with (NGK-Iridium) and if you could find some, Borg-Warner plug wires. Most of the time rough idle is not all from carb but from misfire.
