Hi Dave 👋 When I watch a video, I first read the description, which helps me to understand and enjoy the video. I then look at the quality of the picture and audio, and then I look at camera angles and positioning. All of this helps me to also understand and appreciate the videographer and the effort that is made to produce a great video. Whether it be trains, trams, or, in this case, garbage trucks, I can judge the commitment of the creator to their hobby/career. I have found so many young TH-cam creators that have a real commitment and talent to their hobby that they could make a career in either their chosen hobbies or in the field of videography and photography. I find you Dave to be one of the best in your field because your descriptions compliment your videos and consequently tell a story. I find this with your other channel as well. Sorry for another extremely long comment, but I wanted you to be aware of what I look for in a video. Excellent work, well done Dave 👏 👍
Welcome back John, Haven't seen much of you lately, Glad you enjoyed, I regularly get told from people that they enjoy reading my descriptions, and I like writing them, I think a good description is important as it explains what is happening in the video and gives an idea to new viewers of what your content is about, I am a big fan of videography and photography, I did Media as an elective last semester, really enjoyed it, and it will be something I consider doing in VCE, I'm also involved with a local Hockey Club doing photography, but Garbage trucks will always be my main hobby, Overall I'm happy with how this video turned out, after filming the first 2 trucks I decided I'd just make a compilation of the trucks I got that day, (mostly as I wasn’t overly interested in filming much lol) I would have liked to get a decent, separate video of 485, but I was given incorrect directions by another driver which lead me to 487, but a single clip is better than nothing. I went out on the following Saturday and filmed the missed glass, that video will be up in a few weeks, I reckon you will enjoy, should have an upload on the other channel sometime soon, just haven't had the time to film anything haha, Art trams have caught my attention so I'm focused on getting them now haha, my hands hurt from typing all this out, Always love reading comments from you, Thanks for the comment John, see you in the next one.
@Merri-bekGarbo I am sorry if I have missed any of your videos, I am not getting some notifications, which is a TH-cam glitch. I am subscribed to more than 240 channels in Australia, New Zealand, and the USA, and I try to comment and encourage all of them, and that's becoming a little difficult especially during school holidays and weekends which is when the uploads appear enmas. I am so pleased that you are taking steps to enhance your videography and photography skills for the future. I always look forward to your videos, especially your tram videos as trams have always been a keen interest of mine. See you in your next video Dave.
Great trucks! Do you know if the missed glass stuff is still going? I was out in Brunswick this morning (For sport) I think i went past the friday area and I didnt see any glass bins out. But i did see an iveco E4 or E5. It was a garbage truck along Lygon street, or Nicholson's street. Do you know of any good online collection area maps of Merri-bek?
There still behind on glass, they did Thursdays and Friday on Friday, its expected to go on for a while as there is no perm glass driver, so Liam is covering, but as he's a melb driver; if someone's away over there he does there first and can't come here to after lunch. No E4s in our fleet, only E5s, I reckon it would have been 11482 out on missed garbage, No maps for the new 4 bin system, however there is some available for the 3-bin system.
@@CitywideGarboHey Dave! Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. On google I searched up 'Merri-bek bin collection area maps' And it came up with Merribek, and there was only 2 areas of each day. Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri. Ill sure to be going to merri-bek soon, do you have any good area ideas for me? If yes, could you put a location for me like a Main Road, Park/Reserve, and the time of which they normally come with ivecos or dennis or any key places. Thanks so much again!!
