I still like this primer, it's skin smoothing, porefilling, and refreshing. My makeup goes nicely overtop as well.
- Tarte Shape Tape MATTE Foundation

I dont like how DRY my skin looked with this foundation... and I have oily-combination skin so that's not normal. If you already have dry skin this is not the foundation for you. Also, it looked terrible on my acne. However, it WAS long lasting and like impossible to completely remove with only one wash. Not sure that I'm a fan but will continue to try and make it work by prepping my skin with extra hydrating primer, exfoliating, ect. but you shouldnt have to work that hard to make the foundation work.

This only lasted a few hours wear before getting too oily on my skin but that's because it's a hydrating foundation and I have oily skin to begin with. I did like how it evened out my skin tone and looked very natural. I just had to use concealer to add more coverage to my blemishes to fully cover them up. If you like the "no makeup look" and wear bb creams, you'll like this one.

This powder had flashback directly after applying but after setting my face with a spray and it had time to settle into my skin, it was great. I do worry that this powder would be a little ashy on deeper skin tones however because of the reflecting pearls.

This locks in makeup but doesnt melt powders into a skin-like finish as MAC Fix + does. I also cant tell if it has worked at protecting my skin against environmental pollutants since that's hard to judge after only a few uses.

very thick, can sometimes look "clumpy" but i like my lashes thick so i didnt mind this one. However it does feel quite heavy on your lashes, it also takes a while to dry so it's easy to smudge it around your eye.

Nothing personal to you but people are okay with IT cosmetics having 6 shades but it's not okay for Tarte to have 15. I'm glad we are finally speaking up but we need to speak up to all companies

I totally agree with you but I also think like drugstores are held to a lower standard and since tarts is mor popular I guess they expect more from them.
IT cosmetics formulas are not that baam or good that's why people don't actually care about it . But tarte is a big company with many responsibility and people deserve to get their right shade from their favorite brand . I've seen whoever reviewed the IT cosmetics foundations , were disappointed.
Look, they are not mad about how many shades their are, they are saying their are not enough dark tones.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, and living in Australia with less of a makeup range accessible, I can rarely find a foundation match for my pale skin. I’m lighter than a Kat Von D L42, that’s far too pink and too dark for me. Huda’s lightest neutral foundation is the closest shade match I’ve ever found. I also shop everything cruelty free, and have dry sensitive skin, so finding something that’s hydrating, runs super pale neutral, and is cruelty free without breaking me out...that’s near impossible.
I’m not trying to downplay the struggles of people of colour or anything like that, just trying to bring forward the issues in the makeup industry with pale skin.

Cavill Pieterse For sure. I'm really dry and I can't get away with brushes. I either need the dampness of a sponge or my fingers. Otherwise it's gonna be a patchy mess.
