Holy crap that's me LOL cheers guys! I'm carrying an A Purvis Xerx today even though this morning it bit me. All black. My grail these days is a fancy Malibu. Hopefully I'll catch a good one this year.
Riley is correct in the last video. Right front knife and sometimes AirPods, left front is phone and flashlight, right belt loop keys on Carabiner, right rear wallet, left rear handkerchief. Always fun catching the show.
I landed a grail a few weeks ago. Got a deal on a Norseman I couldn't pass up. Its not in my grail configuration but its amazing to finally have one. Just needs a bit of sharpening I think. I want it RAZOR sharp. My 1st "grail" was a biblio. At that time $200+ for a knife was crazy to me, now I barley blink an eye at 3/400+. Grails are never truly end all be all. You'll want more, Different steels, models, etc. Of course now I am like a lot of others; Koenig. I've passed up on some and it's looking like the regret of the century! But as far as a grail like in the thousands area I'd say a custom Borka for sure. I think a stich is a perfect work blade for what I do but a full custom Borka that would be sweet. Until then, I'll keep maxing out credit cards and pretend I'm not broke!
then end of my thumb got shaved off so I've had to stick to flippers recently (thumb is too sore for a thumbstud). With that, i went back to carrying my elementum is the green micarta and s35vn. The only thing I wished it had was a frame lock instead of liner lock so I went ahead and bought the WE elementum. I don't really have "grails" anymore, I look for what I need or want in a knife and pursue that.
I just got my first grismo norseman 2 days ago and I have been wanting one for a very long time. I wanted a norseman before i even knew what the koenig arius was.
Riley I’ve got one reserved on the Hinderer site just like you described!!!! And I agreed with Everet as well on the rockstead and have my eyes 👀 on some other ones but I’m a patient man and I can wait for the star’s to align to be able to get them!!!!!
First Grail was a Hinderer XM-18 3.5 inch got it, then a Microtech Stitch also got it, now it is an AD20 Compact Ti probably wont ever get it :( Carrying the Finch Devils Finger
I just got my first grail last month. Jake Hoback Sumo. It's even better than I expected. By far the smoothest knife I own. I also just got a Microtech Socom Bravo which is breaking in very smooth as well. Still looking for a Sebenza with wood inlays.
I've never owned a socom elite. From my limited experience handling one, the bravo feels very similar. I love the backspacer and clip. I wish it was a little deeper carry, but at least it looks good. It it feels so beefy without being heavy. It wants to go to work. After about 2 days of breaking in it is buttery smooth. It drops shut, but in a controlled smooth way, so not a guillotine. I love it and it actually came very sharp, which I can't say for my ultratech. I always use my wicked edge on new knives, but I haven't needed to touch the bravo. Definitely excellent quality.
Im right with Evan on my grails. Started with the 940 after watching Ben Peterson talk about it on youtube. Then it became the Norseman after I started watching Nick Shabazz. I’d still like a Grimsmo, but I think a Rasm would be more my speed. I think my ultimate grail now would be a Jason Guthrie scout, something from winterbladeco, or a lockback from Tony Baker. I handled some of Tony at NYCKS in Nashville and was absolutely blown away by how smooth they are.
My Grail is my Knife Art Chris Reeve Sebenza L21 with Carbon Fiber in Devon Thomas Ladder Damascus, I told my wife she Better Bury me with that Knife😁😁😁
Microtech Socom Elite. I’ve got a ultratech, scarab II, stitch, and brachial. Would I go auto or manual not sure. But if I had to chose just one I love anything from Peter Resenti, also like TuffKnives and CKF.
That’s so funny at the end… like a John Wick scene. Crazy but funny! My current grail knives are the Rick Hinderer Project X, a Shirogorov, and a true USA custom knife. My previous ones that I now own are a Rick Hinderer Jurassic with full milled titanium scales, Chris Reeve Umnumzaan with a Tanto blade (sent mine back to get glass bead blown), and my newest Sharp By Design Mini Tempest.
Inquiring minds want to know: what unit and what year(s) was Riley's Dad in the service? I've been in 21 years now and the Army has only issued Gerber multi-tools. I owned an OG Supertool, but that purchase predates my initial entry, so maybe I missed out. I'm exclusively a Leatherman guy, so I'm very curious. Also, thanks for turning me on to Zach's Stuff and KnifeJoy.
I feel like a grill knife is the one you’re after that would bring the most satisfaction. Because right now I really want a Malibu or a runt five, however my “grail” for me would be a custom from Pena. My first ever Grail was a Benchmade Vector 496. Got it as a gift from my girlfriend (now wife). Then it was a grimsmo Norseman. Then it was a Zaan (which I acquired). However now, it’s something a bit more personal. I want a Pena custom with Mexican blanket micarta. A dogleg or an Apache. Looks are very important to me, the grail has to be photogenic my favorite knife to photograph right now is my Hoback Radford with Mexican blanket micarta. I’ve noticed that over the last 2 1/2 years my grill knives are no longer centered around price or even looks anymore what drives me to one certain grail knife is the heirloom factor. I have three beautiful children and I expect to have more, and I want to be able to give them some thing that their papa used regularly when I’m gone. And I hope they never think to sell them.
My grail was the Sebenza 21 and now I have every Sebenza, Inkosi, Umnumzaan and a Mnandi in drop point and tanto, different handle treatments, S35 and S45. I will buy every version in Magnacut when they are produced and I have 3 versions of the Hinderer XM-18 Bowie a Gen 5 and 2 Gen 6. For me, I can spend more but I choose not to and Chris Reeve and Hinderer are grail enough for me!
SHIROGOROV F3 NS PURPLE CARBON FIBER HANDLE and a BRIAN BROWN KNIVES Yeager-M. I have a copper camo flipper on the way. And a CHRIS REEVE UMNUMZAAN and a KOENIG KNIVES Arius.
Absolutely absolutely amazing video My grail knive is this one Eklipse-Harpoon Spanto-Containment Series-Stonewash-Stonewash Blue-Translucent G10 Please can you please ask them if it’s possible to get me one Best Regards Rui
I think most people throw around the term grail too loosely. A grail should be essentially unobtainable, regardless of price/how much money you have. I'm talking Todd Rexfords/Stan Wilsons/Sergey Shirogorov customs. You guys are aiming too low.
Holy crap that's me LOL cheers guys!

Very high class choices!
@@riversedgecutlery4260 thanks y’all! I’m excited to see what you guys do in the near future!
Another great one in the books!
Thank you David!
My first grail knife was an Emerson Commader and then a microtech LUDT. Currently my grail is a Medford Praetorian slim or a Spartan Pallas.
Oh I love the Pallas!
Riley’s pocket dump! 🤣🤣🤪
You sure he didn’t miss anything?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

E/R/E ... Thanks for the report. Lots of great models over the next 2 months. I think the "knife stories" are a great part of the hobby.
I agree, brings a lot of meaning
Kershaw tilt. Cool design, vanax 75 cutting edge, the only thing I dislike is it’s a composite blade so it goes from vanax to 14c28n
I've always wanted one of those!
My previous grail was a manix 2 in maxamet, now it's a Spartan Harsey folder.
Fantastic choice!
The bronze Malibu reverse tanto was a grail I got my hands on this Christmas
I love that configuration!
Got one of my grails yesterday from you guys when I was lucky enough to check new arrivals and see a Hinderer XM-18 Recurve in stock!
Fantastic! Thank you very much!

Love your guys content. Would like to see some knives you are talking about.
We try to throw up images of the knives as we go!
Would love an Emerson CQC-6 or any custom Emerson for that matter
Both are excellent!
