Love seeing these beauties. I may never get to owning this level of grails but I can dream. I really see the difference between my good budget knives to the few I have that are in the $300 range. I can only imagine how much better these knives would be.

The leap to the grail knives from the $300-400 range is not as big as from budget. But there is a “art” feeling you get from the $600 and up knives.

By the way, I love my CRK Umnumzaan with the Tanto blade. Very sweet knife. I ordered his custom clip and am not a big fan. I may order a custom third party one that look very nice and is deep carry.

Quite entertaining how much energy and enthsiasm he had about most all the knives except the Les George. I have the same Les George sitting here on my desk. What is totally deceiving is the simplicity. The genius of the knife is in the simplicity. I tightened the pivot as I consider "drop shutty" absolutely ludicrous. I like some resistance opening and closing. There is nothing fancy about the Les George to grab one's attention. However, take it apart, so simple, put it back together, perfect centering. A fantastic EDC knife without bells and whistles, again, genius is in the simplicity.

  • @bartangel4867
    @bartangel4867 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Those knives are beautiful and the info is great. but while I don't know much about knives and the knife with a hollow grind near the base and the flat grind towards the edge is truly beautiful and can do many functions this knife costs over a thousand dollars which seems like astronomical price. And good self defense knife will cost about one hundred dollars. also while hollow grind is great for many things especially for skinning and alike it is not the most durable that is why combining it with a flat grind towards the tip is important and together this is a great knife. but once again over a thousand dollars for a knife that is way above my price range.

    • @NeevesKnives

Something about the 40cp model tho that always makes me sad when I think about selling it.

I'm going to be really upset if it's 59-60 that I heard they are doing it at and I really hope that is incorrect info.. if one feels really good on the stones I may just keep them both, if they feel soft then I will keep one and flip one.

The majority of online knife reviews claim the Arius is the best thing since sliced bread. Dealers over charge by an insane amount I want one. I want to prove to myself that there is no way this knife is so much better than every other knife on the market. It uses the same materials as everyone else. Chris Reeve offers way more options than Koenig. I don’t know who you need to be to have a custom knife made by Koenig. They would not make me one. This knife screams overrated to me. I want one so I can see for myself. Arizona Custom Knives has three or four of them right now. The cheapest was like 1700.00 The Arius is not worth 1700! I’d rather have a custom built knife for that amount. If every knife is a “Grail” the word loses its value!! These knives are all great. I do not think they are grails.

I think theres too much emphasis on being able to 'Spidey flick' a knife to open it. Since when has this become an issue. I get many people buy knives to play with and look at rather than use but shouldn't they just get a fidget spinner instead? As long as you can open and close it quickly, easily. I don't need to open it with my right ear! ok rant over

I have all of them but one and use them all, including my EVO 1.0 & 2.0

You realize they’re in for sharpening right? You don’t resharpen or mess with factory edges on collector only knives. It devalues them. These are definitely used.

For what that Evo 2.0. Good luck finding one for that now lol. I remember when people were getting $800 or so for them now everybody seems to want $1000-1200. Every now and then you might see one for $850-950. The Evo 3.0 is coming soon I have a couple on pre order

I have $20 Amazon knives with better function than that first blade
I don’t think function is what you’re paying for on the high end

Most high end knives function incredibly well, in many cases much better especially because they do incredible action with insane tight tolerances but there's absolutely some great budget knives checkout some of my best budget knives videos

Those Dan Carraher knives are awesome and super affordable for a custom integral, they start at around $425. And on a personal note I've got a couple recurve blades that I don't feel comfortable sharpening myself, what's best way to get ahold of you for stuff like that IG, Patreon, email?

They aren't customs. They are made by Bestech. Dan Carraher does do final assembly and all but the pieces are all made by Bestech

@@JesseLJohnson awee shit thanks for letting me know that, I thought he was doing them himself.

@@frankiejdwm_edc1037 He does customs but you sure aren't getting a full on custom integral for $425. That is even a good price for what it is especially since he does to the assembly and tuning but Bestech makes the parts and ships them to him. He is a golf pro and started doing knives a while back.
