- This video shows how to remove the existing MW pump on your Mercedes-Benz OM617 diesel engine, and replace it with the M pump.
You can purchase this pump at www.benzinjection.com/product...

There should be washers under the nuts holding the pump to engine.
I also have a yellow mark on my pump from dieselmeken, can be hard to see when the engine are in the car, can use a mirror, phone camera...
However, the yellow mark on the dieselmeken built m-pumps is to be set at 23-24° before TDC. Not 10° after TDC like the green mark in this video.
Yes, there should be washers under the nuts. My engine didn't come with them and I didn't bother putting them on as I just use this engine to test run the pumps I build.
Out of curiosity, what brand / part number for that lift pump are? Greetings from Finland! 👋
Is this the same process on an om602?
How oil can intacke in pomp when you pull off the oil chanel???? Sorry for my english😊
At around 6 minutes he explains with new pump doesn’t need the existing oil line.
Is there a factory marking where you put the green line on the inside of the pump?
There's not
@@BenzInjection Okay, is this location different from the factory location or is this a workaround for not having the factory locking tool?
@@blattferenc9647 there is no locking tool for these. You normally line up a notch in the cam gear.
What makes the M pump more desirable than the MW?
It's tunable. You can adjust off boost and on boost fueling with the external ALDA.
Another advantahe is that the OEM Mercedes Bosch 6mm elements fits the M-pump.
@@BenzInjection u can also adjust off boost and on boost with the MW pump as well lol , M pump can be tuned with way bigger elements inside thus giving more fuel in all ranges
