this is so silly, but i love it. i have a 212 with .274 cam, high flow head, and a 24mm carb. my mini bike will do 60mph. but i absolutely love the idea of making the tiny motor faster, and figuring out how to get there.
That 79cc is one of my favorite little engines. I also love try to push as much as I can out of it with bolt on parts. It’s a very dependable engine. I also have a couple fast 212’s and a 224 HEMI. My current 212 build has a 308 cam, 14cc head, flat top piston and 28mm carb. And of course all the billet go fast goodies. Really enjoy building these little engines!! Your 212 sounds amazing! Remember it’s all about having a good time!! Thanks for watching!! 👍
@DIYWilly I want to play around with a smaller engine. Go power sports has the rascle lite kit, and I have really been thinking about getting that, but it has a 90cc motor.
I can hear the difference, it sounds better mid range and seems to hold better up top without bogging down when it runs out. That's almost like some mod2 action! It might not be fast to everyone but 90% of the fun is figuring out how to make it faster. Mine might get 30 something up top but it's not quite so low key....😬. I like how stealthy and smooth yours is. Excellent job on the factory look!
Notice how it gets up on the RPM’s and the flattens out. Wish I could get it to pull hard until I stop it. I have the parts now to tune the torque converter. Hopefully that will help with the top end pull.
@@DIYWilly it helps because you set the engagement closer to the optimal power output. It requires a higher rpm to go off the line but it is completely worth it. I'm working a new exhaust video now for my 79.
Hello Ross, Interesting you say that cause I installed 1.2 ratio rockers on my 224 and they were shorter. When I measured this kit the shorter one was the same as the stock if I remember correctly. I’ll have to revisit this and double check. Thanks for watching!!
The old saying is there is no placement like displacement I've a 79cc predator I've bought every thing for on paper will make close to 7h for the amount I spent on it I could have bought a few 212 my wife always says at least I didn't spend it on strippers and cocaine
This engine was intended for a smaller project. I have a new 212 on the shelf that was for this bike. And I have spent a small fortune on the 79cc to make it fun. But you know it’s kinda about the adventure too. I like riding the bike and I don’t feel like it wants to hurt at every twist of the throttle. I plan on eventually selling this one and when I do I’ll offer it with either the 79cc or the 212. Buyers choice.
@@DIYWilly I keep thinking about selling some of mine but I did sell all of my Coleman bike I started this year with 32 bikes and 5 karts I have 26 bikes and 5 karts now it's over welming sometimes
Hello T P If you referring to the engine plate no I did not modify anything. I used the angled plate to be able to mount the torque converter. I did make my own exhaust though using the flange from the original mufflers. Thanks for following my channel and thanks for watching..
@@DIYWilly Actually I was talking about the pushrod guide plate and did you just change the intake rocker or both rockers, and I do like the converter setup, got me thinking, but very nice setup you done.
@@DIYWilly Thanks buddy, you have some nice builds, thought about doing a mini for the grandkids, I have a 79cc on a bicycle and trying to get the most out of the 79cc, not a lot of aftermarket parts for it, AGK is the one to go to for the most 79cc, I got the Billet flywheel, header, AGK worked stock carb, filter, and 18lb springs, thinking stepping up to the 19mm, carb mild cam and shaved head and some port work, people say why not go 212 but for a bicycle the 79 is perfect I think just want the most of the little beast. but thanks for your help and contribution to the hobby.
@@timothypenland500 Honestly when I had the 79cc on the Mega Moto frame it was my favorite ride. The 79cc had plenty of power to haul my but around and I wasn’t afraid it was going to kill me like the 212 or my 224 builds I have. I have a small 18v bike I planned on putting the 79cc in. But now I think I’ll put it on a scooter for a bit. FBC has the complete AGK setup and it was very nice. I have to replace the oil seal and crankshaft in mine and I’ll probably port the head and maybe do a diy shave on the head. Definitely one of my favorite engines!!! 👍
No nothing the 79cc is doing great. I do have a crank shaft seal that is leaking but it runs great and starts on second pull every time. Are you interested in doing the same mods? Which engine do you have? Thanks for watching!!

@x00xero00x I’ve heard good things about those 90’s. In fact I almost bought one couples months ago.
I order a lot of stuff from him. He's an awesome guy
This was the first I ordered from him. Shipped fast and the parts were good quality. There’s a large selection of parts.
@@DIYWilly his name is Payne. If you ever have any questions about what you ordered, he's a wealth of knowledge
Thanks Tasha that’s good to know. He’s the one who recommended using the one ratio rockers on the intake side. I know usually it’s used on both sides.
I love riding my 79.....AND the sound!!!
Awesome mod! Judging by your smile ☺ after the ride it was worth it! Keep creating...
It was definitely worth it.

I would still like to do the port and polish to the head.

Trying to go fast man. Thanks for watching.
@@DIYWilly of course man thnx for showin us how its dOne!

Heck yeah Willy!
The ratio rockers worked well. I ordered another for the exhaust also just to try it.
@@DIYWilly you'll nail it, the torque converter tuning is a riot.
79cc come stock with 1.1 ratio rockers
Yes 1.1 ratio
looks like you have a torque converter on your ride. do you have the 5/8 pto and if so what type of adapter to go to 3/4 pto did you use?
Hello, Yea I used an adapter. This is the part I used.

Generally the 1.3 rockers are Shorter than the stock 1.1 rockers.
I think U got them mixed up because U put the longer rocker on the engine....

is this the same motor as my 79cc harbor freight predator? thanks
Yes it is the same engine.. Thanks for watching!!

It’s from the 212. Thanks for watching!
