      Hello, Glad you like enjoy the videos. I don’t usually talk much about pricing on the parts. These videos get view for many years and the prices change so much. Also depending on what part you buy or where you buy it is up to you. I did provide links in the description for the parts and tools I used in this video. Get out there and enjoy that truck! Just went to dealership said our 2010 Scion XD lower control arm and bushings are going bad. They told me the TRD tire rim modify is causing this. Told me the tires are too big. We bought the car new, added the rims, and nobody ever said that the tires are damaging the car. Have you heard this? Toyota wants to charge us $2,402.42 to replace the bushings. Thanks for making this video.

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello Belinda, No I haven’t heard of tires damaging the car. Larger tires can be hard on bearings but bushing it’s usually caused by age and miles. I can’t imagine your tires are that much heavier. As you saw in my video that replacing the arms is time consuming and that where their cost is. Also the Toyota factory parts are $$$. I had almost $300 in parts for this video. Hope you can find a honest mechanic to do the job and save some money. Thanks for watching!!

    Mr. Willy -- Your video is great! I also have a 2012 (built in 2011) Silverado 1500 Ext Cab. I bought it used, and got two keys but those keys ONLY work for the ignition switch, the door lock must require a different key, as the ignition key does not unlock or lock the door handle? Additionally the Tailgate has the same issue and must have had a second key (or the ignition switch may have been changed at some point?) Needless to say, the remotes I have let me lock and unlock the door handle (only the driver's door has a lock cylinder - the passenger side has no key cylinder) My desire is to purchase and replace the driver's door cylinder with key kit, and go through the process of accessing the door handle as you did here and swap over the lock cylinder. You very good video will help tremendously. As to the tailgate lock, I ordered the "BOLT" Gm Tailgate Handle 5922987 which lets me use the ignition key for that lock cylinder (with BOLT's proprietary keying method). I love my 2012 it has 124K and looks new. I ordered a Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover today and the BOLT handle so I can secure the bed when needed. Thanks again -- Richard in KY

    I noticed at 40:05 you said you paid $106 for each injector! That same part # on eBay is $49 each. Where did you buy them? I have a 2012 Silverado and takes the same injector as yours

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello Sebastian, I bought the injectors from the service department at my local dealership. Yes I spent a lot of $$$ for these parts. There are other options for the injectors. With that said I have been ripped off with the wrong parts too many times. Not saying the EBay seller you saw would rip you off but I wanted original parts due to the work it takes to install them. Same as the motor mounts I changed. I bought from the dealership. There is always options just depends on if you feel lucky I guess. Hey anyway good luck with your repair! Thanks for watching!!

    It should work. Not much difference between a .010 over and a .015 over. File it a little and send it. As for that 212, a bigger heavier bike might be the answer. It’ll inspire a lot more confidence with the added power. That’s been the key for me. No more potent engines on small bikes for this guy.

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’ll will send it! I’m looking forward to that build. I just put the Monster 212 on the shelf for now till I decide what to do with it. I will be rebuilding my other 212 similar but with lower compression and a smaller cam. Hopefully it will be safer to ride on the small frame. And the only reason I’m working that engine again is it tends to flatten out at 45mph not sure the rpm but I feel there is more there.

    You're very welcome Willy. Thanks for the kind shout out, I appreciate you. I looked in my stash for new rings when I was digging around for pistons but I didn't find anything. If you can just locate a new top ring you'll be good to go. The 2nd ring and oil ring should be fine to reuse once you check the gap. If you can't find a new top ring, just acid etch the old one, it'll work. (Dip it in Muriatic acid for a few seconds, then dip it in baking soda water for a few seconds to neutralize the acid, then rinse in water, wipe dry and apply some oil to keep it from getting rusty prior to install.) This was one of my secrets for treating the 2nd rings on stock class Briggs Kart race engines.

    • @DIYWilly

    Great video it was fun to be installed. However, you should get the Z1billet heather instead of putting the factory one. Why? It's because like you saw they always blow up right there on the billet heather which was the first one that you installed. The heather billet from Z1 has a screw on it to release the air pressure from the heather. I thought you could use this advice. Thanks for the video.

Not sure if you'll remember cuz I know it's an older video but where that hose spacer plugs into the bottom it lets the air leak by wouldn't that not be good? • @DIYWilly

      This truck is 4 wheel drive and cannot use CST spindles. The CST spindles are 2 wheel drive only like the other truck.

  • @dahatchery
    @dahatchery 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Hey Willy, so I’m in a he process of buying all the necessary Titan swap stuff. I bought a set of CST spindles, I’m wondering what I should do out on the back end. I have both a 2” block kit and a 3” block kit for the back, I’m not sure what would the best option for a shock in the rear. I think I’ll also buy a 3-4% shim so to reduce the stress on my drive axles. I own a dessert runner that comes with a limited slip rear end.

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The 1.5 add a leaf and the 2” block is a great combo for the rear. Unfortunately I don’t remember which shock we have on the back. Been awhile since the install. Need to make sure it’s a longer shock. You will also need to adjust the speed sensor wires and brake lines for the added height and travel. Did you get the extended front brake lines?

    • @dahatchery
      @dahatchery 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thedude828-ed2nn ok could you explain what is the benefit over blocks?

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I can help with that. The shackle is longer giving you a lift in the back. The longer shackle will keep you axle mounted directly at the spring helping to control axle wrap. When you add a block it allows leverage to the axle to increase axle wrap. The addition of the add-a-leaf stiffens the pack helping to control axle wrap while achieving lift and cargo capacity. You can go either way honestly because you’re not going up too much. I’ve used both types of lift on the springs. On my Samurai I use longer shackles with spring over set up. I prefer spring lifts but a custom spring pack can get expensive.

    I'm hoping you can help. I got a brand new 2024 frontier and at 65to75 mph I get a shake from the rear that come and goes. The tires and wheels have been road force balanced and we have even replaced the drive shaft but the issue is exactly the same. The issue comes and goes and is always most noticeable at 68 mph. The dealership is giving me a run around and I'm racking my head thinking what it could be. I have though of adding more caster to the rear to see if it helps while also asking the dealer ship to test the rear diff and components for balance.... Is there anything else you've heard about on this issue or how to fix it? thank you so much

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello SilkLotus, This trucks problem came from the amount of lift installed and damaged parts. I had to replace the carrier bearing on the center of the drive shaft. The shims I installed in this video helped. Is your truck lifted or modified in anyway? With it being a 2024 NISSAN should be able find the problem and fix under warranty. Try another dearer/repair shop. I haven’t heard of this issue before on a new truck. So many things could cause this and it’s hard to guess what it is. Could be a damaged tire or the parts that I mentioned earlier. Get under the truck and start looking for obvious damage. I know it’s sounds odd but take a look at the motor mounts. I’ve experienced bad motor mounts and thought the vibrations were coming from the back. Changed the mount and problem is gone. Not saying this is your problem but take a look. Hope you find the problem and get the truck fixed. Thanks for watching!!!

I'm not really happy with the clunk at the top of the drop, but that is not your video's fault- product defect. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

We were a bit disappointed that we have to spend another $40 on a repositioning peg kit due to the factory pegs being angled so far back.
