Goodness knows I've done that kind of startup with the 454. She's a good engine and will do what's needed and is tolerant of a lot of amateur crap....
Get 10 gallons of fresh gas dump some in the carb check fluids
It actually ran on the gas that was in the tank. Not well, but enough to get us to the gas station 😁

Dude.. yesterday i bought a 1985 Holiday Rambler. Drove it home 10 miles, experience was terrifying. Dry rot tires, leaking radiator fluid, power steering fluid . And it wasnt going oast 25 mph.. so big thumbs up on your 2 hour journey. How is the project coming along?
How the hell that back tyre held out I do not know. Good luck with the rest of it guy's.

Good video guys I actually got a motorhome a little bit smaller than that and a lot older I didn't start my TH-cam yet otherwise it would have been on video not much different than yours lol

If you loosen the radiator cap it will not build pressure so it won;t leak and it will stay cool

I completely disagree with this statement. The motorhome needs a ton of work, but I’d do it all again because I got to spend the day with my son. That makes it all worth it to me. We had the best day together 👍
When you wanted water I noticed you were next to a cemetary, here in the UK there is always outside water points where people putting flowers on graves can have free use of, is it not the same in the USA.
We did check around for a water spigot. But didn’t see any. It was a private church cemetery though 🤷♂️
Now that you got that once fine motor home home, what are you going to do with it?
My son Arthur is currently fixing it up. He is planning to take his wife and daughters traveling 👍

yep they do windy day or stuff inside yep like being on boat then land feeling like motion still but thier great hydrolics lift for storage can get manuel tranfer case and is awd bus anyway air bags make great but overload springs front lift they do good in beach with rain or sand helps but lot time better wait till dry or cold frozen sure beats tents and repacking real like mobil garage stuff not to stay in gas and fumes fuel storage but yep good shower got resort haveing you gear close yep
Now I must ask, did you even check for a spare tire in the back??
We took the previous owner at his word. We didn’t have the keys to open it. We got it open a few days later and there is a good spare. 😂🤷♂️

i think you should of at least got some good used tires before putting it on the road.....blowing a tire could have swirved it into another lane causing injury or death to someone....but thankfully you guys got it home.....

It's definitely not "free". You will pay dearly to find a state to move to that will register and that junk RV, plus charge you the fair-market value use tax at the DMV.
I estimate you will junk it after you realize it's going to cost you $25k to make it saleble or useable for self-contained mobile life.
👍 we live in Pa, registration isn’t a problem as long as we have a title. No fair use tax either. As far as all the work it’s gunna take to get it road worthy? We’ve been working at it. It’s gunna be far from perfect but we are fine with that.

so ford van efi inline pump warrenty lifetime or limited tires lots cheap online get spares good jacks be prepered
