- Meal plan below ⬇️ Weekly grocery haul for our family of 13 in NYC. We shop at Costco and Trader Joe's on Tuesday Evening. (Our Costco is in Harlem and our Trader Joe's is on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.)
We bring Anna (12), Chloe (10), Enoch (7), Melody (5), Moses (2) and Neta (7 months).
Here is our meal plan:
Wednesday: Hummus wraps with Tomatoes, Sprouts, Cucumbers, Radishes & Feta, Dinner: Mauritian Lentils & Rice with Egg & Satini Concombre
Thursday: Sausage & Pepper Sandwiches, Dinner: Indian Meal (Beef, Peas, Potatoes) & Naan
Friday: Fresh Mozzarella Sandwiches, Dinner: Tuesday Chicken with Peas & White
Saturday: Smoked Salmon Bages w/ Onion & Cucumber, Dinner: Bean Burritos
Sunday: Flank Steak Teriyaki Beef, Grilled Veggie Kebabs, White Rice, Dinner: Nachos
Monday: Canned Salmon on Crackers w/ cucumbers & Cream cheese, Dinner: Pizza & Salad
Tuesday: Bean Salad w/ Pita Chips, Dinner: Mac & Cheese + Rotisserie Chicken

Anna is becoming my favorite. Love the way she cares for her younger siblings but isn’t constantly holding them. She kind of does her own thing. Love that. 💖

Poor Enoch! His sisters are always taking things right out of his hands and he just gives up. Makes me sad. He’s such a sweet boy!
That's why he is so grateful for any attention or anything extra he gets....😢 It's easy to get lost in the shuffle in a large family, often the loudest, most aggressive children get the most...
Seems like more attention gets paid to filming...
@@angelaame6148I absolutely agree about Enoch who constantly gets rough treatment from his sisters- everything snatched out of his hands, Amber n Marc also regularly ignore him . He is so kind and caring and is not supported and praised enough- such a shame and a direct negative side effect of many sisters and a very large family itself! We haven’t witnessed Noah’s b’day yet (another quiet, reserved sibling) and it’ll be interesting to see Enoch’s b’day on 7th Aug and how much attention he receives!! It’s very telling how Andrea treats Enoch when she visits- please take note, Amber n Marc. 👎🥲
Anna is probably one of my favorites but I feel she’s the one that does that the most. A little bossy. Hopefully she’ll grow out of it.
@@kellydufur8059 Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy watching this family, but Enoch is frequently having something ripped out of his hands. Yes, it’s most often Anna or Chloe. It just makes me sad to see him look so dejected when they do that.
Enoch is so helpful, so kind. I have a soft spot for him.

The power spray is the best for everything even for clothes stains I use both the power spray and dish soap

You will love the Dawn dish spray. It’s a game changer. I cook multiple times daily and it cleans pots and pans and even my stove beautifully. If I knew where to send it, I would send you some today!❤

I feel the same about Enoch. He seems to get the least attention. Just wants someone to hug him.
Right? Could all be down to editing, but he barely seems to be able to finish a sentence or get peoples attention, the poor guy.
He also seems sad most of the time.

just the sweetest, cutest kids ever! Melody looks so cute with her hair up and her shades on her head. Neta is growing so fast and Mo's answer to everything is usually "yeah". beautiful, happy family

Dawn dish spray is wonderful! it takes out all the stains on your pots and pans. And dishes.
and grease stains out of clothes!
Also degreases the stove!
Power wash dish spray is amazing! Try it!
The dawn dish spray is awesome an I find that it lasts longer then the bottle. You don’t use as much, give it a try next time

Here’s a tip with the big bottle of dish soap: I bought dispenser bottles like they use at Subway where it squeezes out the bottom and refill that for my dishes. It doesn’t leak, no lid to deal with, just pick up, squeeze on sponge, and go. Fantastic solution.
Awww Enoch trying to put oranges in the cart but his sister took them away from him!! I have 6 older siblings and they still treat me as the “ baby” lol it’s ok Enoch you are a great helper and we’re so patient with your big sister. ❤

Mark was wrong this time. The Dawn spray is awesome! It last so much longer, works amazing and no mess. Next time buy it, you will not regret it. We have been using it for years, (yes, it has been out for a long time) 😀
It would be fun to send three of your oldest kids to Columbus Circle to shop at the grocery store there, with kind of like an in-between Cosco shopping list with fewer items, allowing the kids to stray off the short list to come home with a few surprises, ask them to film their experience, and then make a video with questions to them, and everyone comments comparing trips to the two different grocery stores.
That’s a good idea! They would probably have to take an Uber though because driving in the city is crazy!😅
I would get a stroller for Mr. Moses because he’s getting so big and he’s really getting heavy for all of y’all to carry…😮😊

Hello I think y'all have such a beautiful family an children ur little kids the last 3 look alike an little Netta her front teeth an sitting up. Theyr so cute . An Enoch he is his daddy's twin. Handsome family ❤
U can buy a spray bottle an make it own power wash for ur dishes. Look up a recipe for it theyr so many to try.😂
An for the salmon try them in patties theyr easy to make an use a tarter sause with them.

The Dawn power wash spray is excellent for cleaning heavily caked on pots and pans, especially for how you use your pots and pans. I have both, the regular dish detergent for washing dishes and such, and the power wash for the heavily stained pots and pans, as well as for other uses such as cleaning the stove.
I agree. I use it for the cake on for pots & pans. It does the job.
My son and his wife just had a baby. I went to clean their kitchen while they were at the hospital. The stove was a mess and i scrubbed and scrubbed then reached over for that Dawn and sprayed it left it for a minute and then wiped it with a wet cloth. Magic! Clean!!!
You would love the dawn spray detergent. It really gets cooked dry food released from your pots, pans and dinner ware. Great video!

The dawn power wash works amazing!!! And is easy to refill. You have to try it.dishes are clean and easier to “scrub”
Next time pick up the Dawn spray. Best dish soap on the planet! I even use it to take out stains on clothes.

Dawn powerwash great for cleaning shower
Dawn dish soap (blue) good for bathing animals with fleas and also head lice
Olive oil and dawn it works great...never had headlice but know it works my grandkids had it once and that helped...bugs were gone
It’s good mo wants to try sardines try on toast with tomato sauce he really treasured and was so determined on getting them. I’m glad. Marc stood up for him

Another family shopping blog where I love watching what you buy but o just do t know how you can buy so much every week. I don’t live in the states but very few Irish people would ever do such large shopping hails every week. I have a large family but I only spent that kind of money at Christmas . I’m just fascinated. Of course you can spend what you want , I’m not judging , I’m trying to get my head around it.
Marc works at a sign company and I do social media and the kids help by playing music (gigs & busking) but it’s still a challenge!
And do get through all the food every week? I used to cook for about 20 every day wheb my family and I lived in a life sharing community. But we managed to cut costs by having a farm abd garden that produced milk, beef, lamb, pork and eggs. Veg and fruit. If we didn’t have that we would have struggled to feed everybody a healthy dirt. I like that you eat good food as it’s good for you all. I also admire your patience going shopping with all the little ones. They are so good and a great help.
@@rajimac My mom raised a large family (8 kids) and she never shopped this much. She did buy good food and had a nice pantry. Made everything herself. She would buy big quantity of flour and sugar and staples. Our grandparents had a ranch so we would get a side of beef and my dad hunted and fished and we had a huge garden. I guess the days of self-sufficiency are over.
The Dawn Powerwash Spray is wonderful! It cuts thru grease so well! We use it for a lot of different things. One of my favorite use, is in our laundry room!🧺It cuts thru stains and I have gotten set in older stains out of our clothes. Soap scum line in our tubs/showers🛀🏽so many ideas. It comes on sale quite often and you can also buy a four pack refill online.🪣🧽Not sure if they carry those in store there. We also spray our larger pots and pans that don’t fit as well in our sink and our waffle iron and electric griddle to cut thru that buildup of grease and food. Of course dish soap is still a must but the power wash at our house is too🚰

Tates are my favorite! ALSO the Dawn power spray is awesome ! I don't use it in place of liquid soap but you spray it on like caked on things and it gets it off.
Hearts of Palm
A veggie from the inner core/bud of some palm trees.
It is good in salads, asian dishes. Has Vit A & calcium, low carb. It absorbs the flavors it is cooked with. I equate it to an artichoke heart, in the way it grows inside the plant and celery. (not in flavor)
Hearts of Palm you can open it slice and eat raw in salad. that's mainly how I eat it.
I commend you guys for such a variety of different cultural foods and recipes.
It's a wonderful gift for your children.

Moses was hanging on to that can of Sardines to the bitter end! 😂🤣😂Did he end up eating it , or was it part of his “power play” with his siblings? 😂🤣😂🤣 I’ve finally come to the conclusion- The Broadway Baby Neta has the same smile that can light up a room, just like her big sister Pearl! 💕
My parents love the dish spray and say it goes further. I like the bottle, because I use dish soap for a lot of things around the house besides dishes lol.
Amber there is some truth to that eat a banana if you’re nervous. It’s got b vitamins and tryptophan. Both good for mood n mental health

The spray of dawn is good for caked on food. Spray it on and leave for a little while then spray off!
I love Tate's cookies. They have gluten free cookies. I am allergic to gluten. Some of the more popular kinds of cookies are in my local supermarket here in Boston. I have ordered directly from their store in NY to get more of a variety.

👋.. I noticed you were interested in the Dawn spray for dishes but husband was unsure of its value. It’s a good value there at Costco.. I buy that and the big jug of Dawn blue dish soap and it last me quite sometime.. the spray is really good on tough jobs .. The spray Dawn dish soap I use to clean my entire kitchen and also my bathroom sinks and countertops.. it works great on the stove and makes cleanup in the kitchen easier..
I bought the three pack spray today at my Costco in California for $12.99 .. I’v seen it as low as $9.99 at my Costco .. I saw you look at the scrub momma scouring pads .. I usually buy the pack of blue sponges .. but i decided to try those scrub mommas and I really like them .. they clean well rinse out nicely and don’t get an order.. I bought a box of the same one you looked at for $15.99 but they were on sale for $12.99 at my Costco… I recommend getting these items.. they help clean more efficiently and effectively imo .. I’m very pleased I recently switched over to these products and have recommended them to my friends and family who have tried them and are pleased as well… maybe you can get smaller singles of these items and try before you make the investment into larger sizes. But I’m sure you will at least appreciate the cleaning power of spray Dawn… also the Dawn foam pump dish soap is good to and recommend that as well. I love the dawn dish spray. I'll never go back. I have both though.
I use both the Dawn liquid and the Power Spray. I works amazing. I spray them before washing and some before loading the dishwasher and nothing sticks. I'll never just use Dawn detergent or dishwashing detergent by themselves again!

I went grocery shopping today myself, it’s not hard to drop $100 in a grocery store and I live alone, (my husband passed away on June 19 of this year). You guys do a great job feeding your large group, and I can definitely see why you plan your menue and have a list. ❤️✌🏻

Did you ever consider just taking Mo and Neta grocery shopping with you and leaving the others home with the bigger kids? You wouldn't have so many to keep track of. My anxiety would be through the roof.

Love Melody’s fashion sense here . The miso paste can be added with hot water to make miso soup.
Tinned fish is healthy and economical too . Make sure to eat regularly!

Hey Amber, have you ever cut up ginger and made a tea out of it? I usually put a little turmeric and or cayenne and some honey sometimes lemon too it’s pretty cool.

Dawn Powerwash spray is Sooo GOOD! It is great for greasy pans, baked on food, dirty stoves and counters AND stain remover.
Believe it or not my British father absolutely loved sardines and I believe it's a French thing too I think that they're served to them as children and isn't Mo French
You can’t go wrong with the Dawn spray! So handy with the pans and anything greasy.

Did Moses end up liking his sardines? I remember eating them with my grandfather when I was a very little girl.
I only use the Power wash for really yucky plates or baked on food. Loosens the gunk faster than soaking. But not really cost effective just for dishes ❤
